I agree on the newer Disney movies. Tangled is definitely up there on my list of fave movies.

I concur with your assessment of The Princess and the Frog and Tangled. They're both great movies! The Princess and the Frog has one of Disney's best soundtracks, and it was really funny. Likewise, Tangled was both hilarious and beautiful. Disney's been on a roll lately with their animated movies. I'll add Winnie the Pooh to that list of new must-see Disney movies - it's my favorite movie!

Nat and I would get along quite nicely because Toy Story is my other big Disney obsession...Huh, Pooh and Toy Story are my favorites - I must have a thing for toy characters...Anyway, I love those mouse ears. They look so cool with Slinky going from ear to the other.

That sound track is incredible, I completely agree. I was SO impressed! And Tangled really is beautiful. I love that soundtrack too. I wish they could make more good movies like that! Those two were wonderful. Winnie the Pooh was great too - I agree!

P.S. Some OTHER great news is that we JUST extended our Christmas Vacation - we're going three days earlier now!!!! I am SO excited. We're staying off property at this resort in Celebration - does anyone know if there's anything we should check out in Celebration? We're going to be there during the holidays so I didn't know if anything was going on.

We've been to Celebration during the holidays. It's a cute town. I think they make it snow on the one street every evening. They also have "ice" skating on another street using some special sheet of something. There was a diner on a corner, the name of which I can't remember, but they had really good food, and I'm pretty sure it's the only diner on their main street. Have fun!

Chapter 7: "I've Always Wanted to Skip Down Main Street!"
August 19th, 2011

We continued going on rides in Adventureland and decided to go on Pirates next!

We noticed that Davy Jones' picture is no longer in the mist. Apparently it's Blackbeard... and I have no idea who that is. I'm assuming he's in POTC 4, though, because I haven't seen that movie yet.

I never can pass up an opportunity to smell the Disney water smell AND see Captain Jack Sparrow. It's just a win-win situation.

After our swashbuckling adventure, we headed over to Frontierland!

It was time for more of the Disney water smell because our next stop was SPLASH MOUNTAIN!

Nat and Sarah wore ponchos. Those crazy kids.

Kristen and I just went in our regular clothes and got FRONT ROW SEATS! We actually had the whole log to ourselves. I love when that happens!

Big Thunder Mountain was our next stop, and it was about 1:30 am at this point. (The whole family was still goin' strong!.... kind of.)

That was a fun ride, as usual. We were getting a bit delirious at this point.

The Wildest Ride in the WILderness!

We really wanted to go on all three Magic Kingdom mountains in a row, but Sue, Scott, and Sarah were getting pretty tired. So they headed out of the park.

Nat, Kristen, and I were NOT done yet! There's no sleeping in Disney!! We had to keep going! So we walked across the park and got in line for Space Mountain!

We walked in the building and about halfway through the queue line we hear the meteor shower announcement. "All wait times will be longer than originally anticipated." Oh lovely.

Well, we decided to stick it out anyways. Apparently only one side of the track was working. So the line went really slow. We were getting REALLY frumpy at this point... especially Kristen who had been up since 6 am! 20 hours straight for that girl... very impressive.

We finally got on Space Mountain at 2:15 am. The whole ride felt very surreal because I was so tired... almost like I was in a dream!

But it was quite rejuvenating, I have to say. That'll wake you up!

We got off of Space Mountain and headed for the exit. The Magic Kingdom closed at 2 am, after all, and we were there way past closing time.

We made our way back to Main Street, and when we passed in front of The Plaza, "Wells Fargo Wagon" began playing.

For those of you who don't know, me, Nat and Kristen were all in a production of "The Music Man." So every time we hear Music Man music on Main Street we get very excited!

So that started us off. We got out the video camera and made one of THE frumpiest movies I have ever made in my life. We were SO delirious.

We just pranced our way down Main Street. It was EMPTY. There was literally no one! It was awesome. Those are the moments you dream about.

We skipped, we ran, we sang, we danced (badly)... and it was fantastic.

Lucky for you guys, I have that video uploaded. It's listed at the end of this update... you're probably gonna want to watch it.

After taking our grand old time exiting the Magic Kingdom, we were FINALLY walking to the bus stop.

However, I was REALLY thirsty. I saw a vending machine and I had to get a bottle of water. But of course, silly me, I didn't have any $1 bills. AHH. It wouldn't take my $5 bill so that was a fail. But I could use a credit card! So that's what I had to do.

Only in Disney would I buy a bottle of water with a credit card.

We finally got to the bus stop and the lines for all of the resorts were completely deserted... except for Coronado!

There were literally two busses full of people waiting to go back to the resort. There was a huge back up so there were a lot of tired and cranky people waiting for that bus!

Sarah, Sue, and Scott left the park right before we went to Space Mountain, and the bus JUST picked them up right before we arrived at the bus stop. Such a bad back up!

Since we were at the end of the line, we made ourselves comfortable and took a seat on the ground. Nat just laid right down.

This lady from Jersey took it upon herself to complain very loudly to the CM's about how this was so ridiculous... Like they didn't already know! hahaha

The bus to pick up the first load of people didn't show up for about 20 minutes.

We were, unfortunately, left behind! We didn't fit on the bus, so we decided to just wait for the next one. SLEEPOVER AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM! Just kidding. But we practically were.

There were these two couples who were also left behind, and they were hilarious. They were from Jersey, too! They were just dancing around and trying to keep themselves entertained. They kept us entertained as well!

The only people left were us, those people from Jersey, and a few families. So it was almost weird how empty the Magic Kingdom was.

Finally around 3 am our bus showed up. HOORAY! We got on the bus and made our way back home. Boy, were we tired!

We got back to the room, Nat took a shower, and we finally fell asleep by 4 o'clock!

Sad they don't show davy jones on the waterfall anymore I loved cringing at the thought of going through his face lol. Blackbeard is from the 4th pirates of the carribbean movie.

I agree about the Jack sparrow comment! Jack sparrow is awesome and i seriously can't imagine pirates without him! I also agree about the Disney Water comment. I seriously smells sooooo good! i love walking into a water attraction and smelling the disney water. Pirates has especially good smelling water in my opinon. I love water smells in general though.

Love that Nat and Sarah are wearing ponchos on Splash Mountain I personally don't get doing that when going on a water ride because i just wouldn't go on it at all if i didn't want to get wet but whatever. I get why other people would want to wear them though.

Love the big thunder mountain pics, I see alot of deer faces as it gets later and later. It is very amusing to see. I feel like the funniest/ best things happen when it is late/early morning in Disney. I like how you guys crammed as much as you possibly could that night. That is the best thing about extra magic hours in my opinon.

I love seeing how empty the park is at the end of EMH. I love taking pictures and just skipping down main street and taking my time during this point in the night.

Usually we are inside a attraction like you guys were when EMH ends, but a couple of trips ago my mom and i were eating at casey's when the park closed and we were eating outside and heard this special announcement (i have heard it be reffered to as the kiss goodnight) and it was a mini castle light show and a special announcement saying they were glad we were at the magic kingdom and they were talking about walt disney vision for the park and they ended it with saying they hoped we had a great day. During this entire time they were playing when you wish upon a star and i think they may have also had a couple of mini fireworks in there as well. It was soooo special to us because we had seen them do this announcement on disney planning videos of the past.

Anyway, back to your TR. Love the video of you and kristen doing your fun dancing on the way out of the park. That probably reflects exactly how you felt at that moment. I know i usually feel like dancing around like that and just being goofy at the end of EMH. I usually don't go as far as dancing just because i know i would feel self conscious if i did, so i usually compromise with myself by skipping my way out of the park and jumping around. I love being so excited about being there that i can skip and jump around like i'm a crazy person and best of all not have thousands of people staring at me.

Love the music man story. I was also just in a production of music man. I haven't been to disney since i was in it but i know i'll be excited to hear the songs from the play. Whenever they play a song that was from a play i was in or whenever they play the walking down main street usa song i get super excited and start singing along and i go into my skipping mode (I never realized how much i enjoy skipping untill i saw what i typed out).

That sucks that your bus station was full You guys handled it pretty well though (unlike that jersey lady you described). That was funny that Nat laid down and kristen started talking about how she's been up for 20-21 hours.

Glad that you did eventually make it back to CSR (although a MK sleepover would have been fun to hear about) even though it wasn't till 4 in the morning. Were the rest of you nights this late? Can't wait to hear more

The Smell of Disney water plus Jack Sparrow plus the fact that it's a Disney dark ride (the most relaxing thing in the world) make POTC one of the most wonderful places in all of WDW.

Have you ever listened to a ride through of any of Disney's dark rides and found yourself immediately completely mellow? What is it in those narrations that's so soothing?

BTMRR would be SO MUCH FUN in the dark! Why have I never thought about this before?

The wait at the bus stop sounds horrible! But it looks like y'all made the best of it. (Nat looks so comfy there on the pavement, but at 3am, what isn't comfy?)

When I clicked on the third video youtube was having a problem and there was a message saying highly trained monkeys were working on the problems. Me thinks somebody was sleep deprived when they wrote that. Maybe they had been at the MK EMH too? It's working now, and I must say it's hilarious. And I obviously love your song choice for the first video.

I guess people staying at Coronado Spring like to stay at parks later than other resort's guests? I can't believe they didn't send more buses. Bummer.

Haha the first time I went on BTMR it was at night so that has always been my personal preference! It's a lot of fun and it has a whole different feel! You should give it a try next time!

Exactly!! Yeah, I'm surprised we weren't mad. If I was with my family, though, I probably would've been frustrated.. but we were still so happy about being together in disney that it didn't really phase us.
