"There’s NO Sleeping in Disney!” SURPRISE - The Frumps Are Back Again! UPDATE 1/13

Haha yeah they're nothing special... but they get the job done. I always take pictures of every inch of the room
I love the lamp too! I want it for my room haha
Mmmm that entire meal was delicious!
Haha I think Kristen pulled it off pretty well. It really added to it... so frumpy :rotfl: That was SUCH a great surprise. I'm glad it worked! And aww I'll tell her! I'm sure she says thanks!
Aww darn! I'm sorry you're not gonna be there for the actual Christmas Day but I'm sure you'll get to see all of the great christmasy aspects anyway! THANK YOU SO MUCH for that website. That was exactly what I needed :)

I did tons of research on stuff to do in Florida over the holidays because I do NOT want to be stuck in Ocala for a week visiting my boyfriend's relatives (sorry relatives! It's just boring in Ocala!). And our stay in Disney sloooowly become longer, but I don't think I can push it anymore! :rotfl:

Aaah! Small World photo spam! I love all the details in Small World (I learned to read using Disney audiotapes with picture books and one was about the Small World ride - this one! From... 1968! and I love how much matches from book to real ride!) The animals have to be my favorite though, they're all so adorable and perfectly unrealistic! Of course, I've always been a fan of Mary Blair, so that may influence me slightly :)

2AM EMHs are the best! I wish they had them more frequently, though I know I wouldn't want to work them. ;)

Hahaha I completely understand! When you're in the same state as disney... everything seems boring!! :rotfl: But that's good you have a relatively long Disney trip. :thumbsup2 Yay for that. I pushed my Disney trip pretty long too... it worked out good though! My brother only has to miss one day of school :lmao:
Oh my gosh... SO CUTE! I love the animals too... I wish that's how they were in real life!
They are the best... such a reasonable time  But I agree. I would be exhausted.

Chapter 6: "Why Couldn't Peter Pan Fly?"
August 19th, 2011

We got off the "Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed" (but literally... we were ecstatic) and we headed over to Tomorrowland!

dsc0127wp.jpg

We tried to go on the PeopleMover, but it was closed. Wahh.

Some people had to take a bathroom break, but I didn't have to go, so I went into MICKEY'S STAR TRADERS. (say that like the old Transit Authority voiceover. Thank you.)

I took a picture of these little figurines of "Princess and the Frog" and "Tangled." I have to say that both of these movies were EXTREMELY impressive. I know a lot of people didn't want to give them a chance, but I would highly recommend seeing them if you haven't already. They're some of my all time favorites!

dsc0126bh.jpg

Once everyone got out of the bathroom, we decided to go on Buzz Lightyear! Nat was very excited because it was her first Toy Story themed ride of the trip! Yay!

dsc0128wl.jpg

dsc0130on.jpg

Nat and I sat together, and she did extremely well! I got 53,000 points, and she got 51,000! Very impressive. I guess she's just a natural.

dsc0137qu.jpg

This picture came out kind of blurry, but you can see Kristen in the back there. I thought it looked cool with all of the colors.

dsc0134pv.jpg

Here's Kristen and her Mother:

dsc0135r.jpg

And Sarah and Scott:

dsc0139tp.jpg

We went into the gift shop and Nat was VERY happy... Toy Story merchandise everywhere!! She had to, of course, see if Lotso smelled like Strawberries.

dsc0140l.jpg

He did.

And she had to try on precious Toy Story mouse ears. So cute!

dsc0141bq.jpg

And the obligatory photo with Zurg:

dsc0142vy.jpg

Mission Accomplished, Space Rangers.

Our next stop was the Laugh Floor Comedy Club! It was SUCH a good one... the audience was really into it! I guess everyone finds things hilarious at 11:30 at night.

dsc0145hr.jpg

I love this woman.

dsc0143s.jpg

Sam and Ella did their countries act for this show. These two Indian people, a man and a son, were put on the screen. They both had very ethnic names. One was Mituz and the other... I don't remember. Sam and Ella had trouble understanding, but they just went with it! And it was HILARIOUS. They made a little song out of it. I don't know what it's called... but it sounds like a horse race song? (du-du-duh, du-du-duh, du-du-duh-duh-duh! I don't know if that helps hahaha) Anyways... it was great. The audience (and the guy and his son) really enjoyed it.

Then for the mind-reading part with Buddy Boyle, this lady named Monique was on camera. Her kids were putting their hands on her face so they were on camera, too. Her older sister (I think?) started joining in and then uh... grabbed her... chest. :rotfl: Sooo they immediately ended the scene and Buddy Boyle dropped through the floor. Very awkward (yet pretty hilarious). I don't know why someone would do that at Disney, though. That's sort of rude. Oh well.

Mike's little nephew was up last. His best joke of the evening was:

"Why couldn't Peter Pan fly?"
"Because he can never, never land!"

Very cute.

So to say the least, that was a pretty interesting Laugh Floor experience! We definitely filled up that can!

dsc0144y.jpg

We left Tomorrowland and decided to head over to the other side of the park. On the way, we took some pictures in front of the castle:

dsc0147dl.jpg
dsc0148pe.jpg

dsc0149ba.jpg

Eventually we ended up going here:

dsc0151h.jpg

The new sign looks just lovely! On my last trip they were fixing it up, so it was nice to see the finished result!

Our next stop was the Jungle Cruise!

dsc00101q.jpg

dsc00102rp.jpg

Our skipper had SO much energy!! Dang, everybody was crazy that night.

He asked if we wanted to hear a joke. So we said sure!

What joke did he ask?

"Why couldn't Peter Pan fly?"
"Because he can never never land."

Such consistency throughout the Magic Kingdom! hahaha

He was a fantastic skipper and we had a lot of fun on that cruise!

Thanks for the posting the picture of the little green aliens. They are my favorite TS characters.:thumbsup2

Jess, love your expression on the BL ride, so serious!

Roz is my fav character, and I can do her voice! Kadence asks me to do it all the time, but it's hard on the vocal chords!

Thats funny that you heard the same joke on the jungle crusie, because that happened to us as well!

Awwww... I'm sorry the PeopleMover was shut down for you guys. That's a must-do on any trip to MK for me now. Hopefully Nat will get to ride it later in the week. Seriously, that ride is epic, though people may not know it, it is! :thumbsup2

I gotta give a big :thumbsup2 for more appraisal of PatF!   I JUST LOOOVE THAT MOVIE! And though I've said that probably a gazillion times I won't stop, because people you need to watch it. There is no better movie without Prince Naveen... *smack*... of Maldonia... ;) Tangled is good too, had to put a little plug in for that too :rolleyes1

Oh wow, Nat is a natural! I'm so awful at Buzz. It's strange because I'm AMAZING at TSM, but Buzz just bothers me to no end even with the tips. Maybe on my next trip if I test out some of the new ones, I've learned, I will get a higher score, but I can't believe on a first try, Nat was that close to a vet like you. She's got skill! (:

I love the pictures of Nat smelling Lotso and you guys at the Zurg photo-op. Kristen's face is just priceless  You gotta be brave, young Gryffindor!

Ooooo... the Laugh Floor! That show is definitely a hidden gem. People really need to give it more credit. It is just that funny. And it sounded like you had a fun audience that night. I can only imagine how crazy it must've looked when that lady's kids were clambering into the shot, until the end though... that just doesn't formulate right in my mind.

Love the castle pictures, you can't go wrong with those and I love all the pin trading lanyards. They add just the right touch, don't you think, Dri-.... oops, wrong princesses hehehe

I really need to go ride the Jungle Cruise. Right now. *chuckles mischievously* I mean, from the videos you show, it doesn't sound as if every trip is different. Maybe that's what I'll do in the College program... work there... And how ironic he asked the same Peter Pan joke as at the Laugh Floor, talk about a Small World on the Jungle Cruise :lmao: I crack myself up.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

P.S. I beat Kristen :teeth: RAVENCLAW WILL PREVAIL!!! :cool1:

Don't even worry Timmy it's totally fine! I know you're always here! :goodvibes I'm glad you like the videos! I will have to check the comments. Oh my God... iMovie is SO much better than Live... if you get a laptop for college get a MacBook so you can have it. It's soooo much faster. Live works well but it's just so slow haha. I'm glad you're still alive, and thank you! You too!

Blow my cover why don't ya? Haha Just kidding, no I'm not, who am I kidding? Not you... yeah, can I say I've watched those videos a few too many times. I hope that doesn't sound stalkerish or anything... O_O

I really want a MacBook, I've wanted one since I got my first laptop (the one that just broke, hate the darn thing now), but they're so expensive, so I guess holding out for college won't be too long or maybe after using them a bit for school, I can convince my dad they are THE BEST. =D And yeah iMovie definitely looks a lot better and it seems everything is a bit more organized and you are getting the videos up a lot quicker, always a plus, especially considering I remember how it wasn't until I joined your first TR, at the end, when you posted them.

Sorry I'm commenting so much, I'm trying to catch up :thumbsup2

I GOT SURPRISED ON MY TRIP TO DISNEY!!! Send our video innn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys should definitely send some of your videos in to "Let The Memories Begin!". They epitomize Disney excitement!

Kristen's expression in the prison with Zurg is funny. :rotfl2:

Did you get yelled at for taking a picture during the Monsters Laugh Floor show? Or were you sneaky enough? ;)

I like the Peter Pan joke, cute. And funny that you heard it twice in one hour!

Wow, Kristen's little sister sure is a trooper! Staying up that late and doing all those attractions with you. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the posting the picture of the little green aliens. They are my favorite TS characters.:thumbsup2

Jess, love your expression on the BL ride, so serious!

No problem! I'm glad you liked them :)
Hahaha oh thank you. It's my "concentrated face." :rotfl:

Roz is my fav character, and I can do her voice! Kadence asks me to do it all the time, but it's hard on the vocal chords!

Thats funny that you heard the same joke on the jungle crusie, because that happened to us as well!

Oh my gosh hahaha I can do her voice too! But you can probably do it better. Mine's not too good... but I try.
That happened to you too!? Maybe they have magic kingdom conferences or something

Awwww... I'm sorry the PeopleMover was shut down for you guys. That's a must-do on any trip to MK for me now. Hopefully Nat will get to ride it later in the week. Seriously, that ride is epic, though people may not know it, it is! :thumbsup2

Haha I agree! The peoplemover is one of my absolute top favorite rides. :wizard:
Isn't that movie great?! I watched it like 3 days in a row the first time I saw it hahaha
Kristen is the same way! TSM champ! She's still good at Buzz but TSM is way stronger.
Yes, it is a hidden gem! I love that thing! It's quite entertaining.
Thank you!
Haha what do you mean "it doesn't sound as if every trip is different?" To Disney or on the Jungle cruise?
Haha nice disney pun :thumbsup2

Blow my cover why don't ya? Haha Just kidding, no I'm not, who am I kidding? Not you... yeah, can I say I've watched those videos a few too many times. I hope that doesn't sound stalkerish or anything... O_O

HAHAHA you've started quoting them before we have! What a frump you are. :rotfl: :thumbsup2 I'm proud. I don't even think I have posted that one up on the TR yet either! I'm going to on the next update.
Yeah I didn't get mine until senior year... and seriously it's SUCH a good investment. I hope you will be able to get one for college! They're great.
And yeahhh I actually completed the entire movie today! :woohoo: So I'll be able to add them in as we go.
I didn't finish the January Frump videos until like June because my computer got a virus and I had to remake them.. and live is just super slow. So I added them in at the end. I'm definitely an advocate for iMovie!
The only complaint I have is that on iDVD there is no "play all" option so you can't loop them all together on a DVD :headache: I spent 3 hours today trying to figure out how to do that and I guess it's not even a feature. So that's the only thing that windows has over mac in this scenario.

Love the Mickey star traders voice! everytime i go past that store i say that name in the peoplemover voice!!!! i still say it despite the voice change :( speaking of the peoplemover sad that the ride wasn't open. i love riding that ride @ night (which for some reason i always say in a spongebob voice because their was a episode where spongebob was obssessed with saying that he was doing everything @ night). anyway, exciting that nat not only got immersed in toy story early but also did well on the ride (did she end up doing as well on future buzz rides and toy story mania rides?) That story about how energetic your monsters inc crowd was is great! I love happy, energetic disney people :) annoying about that one lady though, some people are just weird like that despite being in disney. Cute castle pics of all of you :thumbsup2 Love how much energy you all seem to have in your pics, especially the ones of Nat and kristen on jungle cruise (like other DISers i have also seen the video on you tube from this part of the trip and as i saw the jungle cruise pics i kept think of you guys in line and your jungle cruise skipper) speaking of your skipper thats awesome that you got a great skipper! i feel like the best and most energetic disney cast members are always there for EMH :) that is why i love that ride at night :) can't wait for more :)

You really do have your 'no mercy' face on during BL. Amazing!

That photo in front of Zurg is too great! So many good expressions! Props to Sarah for learning to pull great faces at such a young age haha :thumbsup2

Ugghhh who does an awkward chest grab on the laugh floor? You're at Disney people, please calm down :confused3

That's pretty hilarious that they are pedaling the same joke all through the MK, they must be pretty proud of it!

Sorry I'm commenting so much, I'm trying to catch up :thumbsup2

You guys should definitely send some of your videos in to "Let The Memories Begin!". They epitomize Disney excitement!

No problem! Haha I know... I would love to. I wish making Disney videos and writing trip reports could be my job

Haha such a good picture :lmao:
I actually took them before and after the actual show... so technically it was legal ;)
I know! It's like they planned it.
She really is! She loves hanging out with us... so she stayed with us for as long as she possibly could! So cute.

Haha so do I! And ughhh don't even get me started on the voice change. It seriously altered the whole ride. I'm very very sad and I don't think I'll ever get over it.
at nighttt. hahaha I know exactly what you're talking about. And yeah I like riding it at night too because I like to see the castle all lit up.
Yeah Nat did really well on all of the Toy Story rides! Probably because she was in her glory
Yeah people are sort of weird. Oh well.
Thank you! Yeah, those pictures are taken right out of the video so you can definitely recognize them if you've seen it! I have to put up that section for the next update!
And yes, I agree! They must drink a lot of coffee or something hahaha

Hahahaha oh thank you. I take it very seriously.
LOL that's a great picture. And yeah, Sarah's expression is very good! Probably better than mine :rotfl:
I know, seriously. NOT IN DISNEY!
Haha I know... so funny. I'm glad I picked up on it.

Oh no on people mover being closed :sad2:

Wow I am very impressed by Nat's score on Buzz Lightyear - she sure is a natural! :thumbsup2

Lol I can imagine going to the Laugh Floor Comedy Club at 11.30 at night would be hilarious! :rotfl:

Love the photos of Kristen and Nat waiting for Jungle Cruise. Lol at the Jungle Cruise skipper telling the same joke - like you said that's MK consistency for you!

P.S. In response to your question in your last reply we stayed at Disney World for 2 weeks - had to be a long trip after all the travelling! Also yes the 9 hour flight was so worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I've been lurking for a bit and catching up on some of your old trip reports. But I had to finally comment and say that your reports are amazing. They are so entertaining, and it is so easy to see how passionate you and your friends are about Disney and how much joy you have just from being there. And I'm so impressed by your videos, not just the editing, but being able to find a great balance between video recording and getting still pictures. Definitely something I need to learn how to do, I always wind up with hundreds of pictures and about 2 minutes of video.

Anyway, can't wait to see more!

Wow you started it while I was away and now I've missed 19 pages! Got to go catch up, I guess I can delay my unpacking another day :D

I know :( Don't worry though! It opened back up eventually!
Haha she sure is!
LOL when you're deliriously tired, that show is even funnier. Gotta love it.
Exactly! So funny.
P.S. That is AWESOME! I haven't stayed at Disney for a full two weeks since I was 8 years old. But this upcoming christmas trip is going to be 12 nights/13 days long... so that's pretty close.

Aww thank you so much :goodvibes That's so nice! I'm glad you enjoy the TR's and I'm glad our love for Disney shines through.
And oh thank you! I think this is my third Disney video that I edited now, so I think I have a better handle on it at this point.
I mean, my first one ended up being two hours long because I didn't cut enough video out :lmao: I guess my biggest tips are to only keep what you REALLY like, if it starts to drag just edit it out, and still images only need to be on screen for 1-4 seconds. :)
Thanks for being here! :)

Wow you started it while I was away and now I've missed 19 pages! Got to go catch up, I guess I can delay my unpacking another day :D

Haha well I'm glad you're back! :wizard: And yeah, you can unpack anytime ;) No biggie. Enjoy reading!

The frumps go to jail.

HAHA. MICKEY'S STAR TRADERS. (In your voice :))

OMG. SUCH a good Laugh Floor experience. Except that awkward moment with Monique. Ah well.

YAY the Jungle Cruise. That ride seriously never gets old for me. I love it.

Oh gosh, Roz is sucha frump ! She's one of us :yay:

That's okay that they said the joke twice because it's the best one I've ever heard! I'm gonna start telling it to EVERYONE I know :)

Maybe they have a MK joke of the day?

Sarah goes to Disney in AN HOUR AND 5 MINUTES :woohoo:
WOHOO Nat's been counting down the hours all day
