Themed Resaraunts

Hi everyone! We are so excited about our upcoming first trip to Universal! We are surprising our kiddos, ds10 and dd7! We are staying on site at RPR 6/15-6/20. 27 days out...but who's counting?

Quick question... What are the best themed restaurants for kids? I've seen lots of info on great food, but what we like is atmosphere!! (Ex, some of our fave's at Disney are Sci Fi for the little cars and movies and OHana for the games the kids can play.) we don't really like the character meals. I'm just curious to know what are the really "cool" places to eat? We don't want to miss any hidden gems!!

Hmmm...let's see:

IOA: Three Broomsticks (HP related), Mythos (mystical), The Burger Digs (dinosaur), Comic Strip Cafe (cartoons) and Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous (Dr. Seuss). Let me say that I would not recommend all of these places because some serve standard fare but I think kids would enjoy the atmosphere. I would recommend Thunder Falls Terrace but it's really not as themed as others.

Studios: Monsters Cafe (monsters), KidZone Pizza Company (cartoons) and Mel's Drive-In (1950's). I would not recommend any of these places based on food served except maybe Monsters Cafe. I would recommend Louie's Italian or Finnegan's but neither are heavily themed.
