Theme Park View Rooms At Contemporary At Christmas??

worth is going to be so different for everybody. Would I pay that? no I wouldn't but that doesn't mean the view isn't worth it. We just don't spend enough time in the room to dish out that type of money. I'd pick Wilderness Lodge at Christmas every time if I had the choice

We did it at Halloween and it was worth it for us. watching the MNSSHP fireworks from our room was awesome!! :)
and my kids love watching the castle change colors!!

Wilderness Lodge at Chistmas --- I will never forget this - we had just gotten back from one of the Park's .. -- It was late like 11 pm or so .... They we're putting up the Christmas Tree --- All the Chair's we're in a circle to watch - The bar was still open you could get a Drink and Watch --- It was amazing & how quiet they do it -- The kid's only lasted another hour or so -- Then Next morning going to Lobby - *** It truely was Magicial **** this took place like nov. 13 or 16 th --- ??? ;):lovestruc

We haven't stayed at the CR (yet) and although our favorite resort during the holidays is the WL, I would say getting a CR TPV would definitely be worth it. As the pp said, "worth" is subjective as everyone's meaning is different. But with that said, we are contemplating a CR stay in the future and when that time comes, I've already decided to get a TPV regardless of the time of year, so I know a TPV would be a definite for us during Christmas time.

I think it really depends on how much time you spend in the room. Back in the 90s (when prices were reasonable) dh always insisted on staying at CR with a MK view. We have only done in once in the last 10 years. We watched hallowishes from our balcony one night. It was an awesome experience, but I dont know if I will pony up that cash again. WL and BC work very well for us. :goodvibes If you want that christmasy feel, WL is your best bet. CR is the least christmasy IMHO. :santa:

I've stayed in tpv room at CR in the past. I think it is something you should experience at least once, but I can imagine what the rate would be for a room at Christmas. My suggestion would be if you could swing it try to get into CR the first or second week of December when the rates might be cheaper or a code is available. You would still be able to catch Holiday Wishes at least once or twice I would think, and you won't be paying a premium for Christmas week.

I do agree with the previous poster in that the CR is the least holiday-filled resort of all the deluxes.

does anybody have pictures of WL or CR at Christmas time with the views from CR facing MK

This is from halloween. As you can see you are too far away to see any decorations (this pic is taken with a pretty good zoom). Oh and the castle did have the Christmas light on at this point. They were testing them around 2am each night.

Seeing as how one of those rooms during the holiday season is $700 a night ... if you have the money to spare then I'm sure it would be worth it.

We stayed in a castle view room during the halloween season and thought it was incredible. There is something just magical about walking onto your balcony and seeing the incredible view of the magic kingdom and the castle. I can't imagine what it would look like at Christmas time.

That said, we were actually at an event and the room was comped (ie - we didn't pay for it), so I'm not sure if it would be worth the extra cost....especially at Christmas. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, maybe??? There's a lot of other things you could do with the extra money - dinners at signature restaurants, cool souveniers, maybe being able to stay an extra day or two? So I guess you just have to decide what it's worth to you. Could also consider resort hopping and splurge for one or two nights on days when you know you'll be at the hotel and take advantage of the view then hop to another resort on days when you'll mostly be in the parks?

We stayed in a TPV at the Poly in Feb- no holiday and it was an amazing! Once in a lifetime experience. My kids loved the water parade and the fireworks every night. Plus waking up and walking out onto the balcony to watch the boats and see the castle was awesome.

We had a TPV at Contemp and I was so excited I slept on the Balcony!! I watched the castle changed colors all night DH thought I was nuts but he did end up joining me around 4am! After the first night I finally stayed inside LOL
