Anyone who's been in the past year or so.... Have you watched the theme park channels in the resorts? I used to love them, because there were like 3 or 4, and you could see the ads for the different theme parks and rides.

Now... all they have is "Krissa" and the "Top 7 Attractions". She is the most annoying perky girl in the world who goes on all the rides. It's so irritating!!!!!! And the Top 7 Attractions are kind of pitiful.... They lump Splash, Space, and Thunder into 1 attraction, Stitch is like number 3 (of course :sad2: ), and La Nouba is on there as well.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Yep - Kryssa annoys the bejeebers out of me...... I can't believe they still have her on. Really ruined resort tv, IMHO.

Normally I don't mind change, but I really miss the old Parks TV. I guess the idea is to snag a younger demo (I am 40), but Kryssa is sort of annoying to me. We used to turn on the TV for background noise as we were getting around in the mornings -not now. At least Kryssa is kinda cute :rolleyes1

I was last there in Sept so haven't seen the most recent one. But Krista is very annoying but I have to admit that is the first thing I put on the TV when we get in the room so I know we are here.....lol

Also we always tease DS asking him....don't you wanna see your girlfriend....lol

:rotfl2: LOL :rotfl2:

My DS 7 loves Krissa, every night when we returned to the room he watched it over and over and over and over. He can tell you the whole entire monologue from beginning to end.....we were there 7 nights so he got to see it many, many, many times. Thankfully there was a TV in his room so we all didn't have to watch it over & over.

Come on folks...lighten up on Kryssa. She is adorable and can show me around WDW anytime she wants.

She's an actress doing what she is told to do. If you want to spit venom, direct it toward whomever is in charge of approving concepts. We all know someone like Kryssa, terminally perky, and I think her personality is real enough. The countdown is, of course, determined by management. They are the one's trying to promote certain things. I just wish it could be interspersed with other information instead of running essentially the same show 24/7/365. To the person who saw it in September, rest assured that it is the same thing you saw back then. The new segment of Stitch might have been added but it is a small, small part of the whole show. The rest is the same right down to the "water powered wedgie".

I for one miss the "tip for today" and found the countdown annoying as well. We use to always have the tv tuned in to the disney tip channel and loved it but the countdown is good for one viewing only. Something that I really really missed last trip and which they'd bring it back!

I thought it was great when Goofy showed viewers around -- remember?

I'm a rookie to WDW (only been 2x, and that's in the past year), but I like Kryssa and all her perkiness!!

Perky, perky, perky....

I don't care for Kryssa, but I do watch the "Top 7 Attractions." I was hoping that Samantha Brown from the Travel channel would be on it. I like Samantha.

I feel exactly the same way as the OP.

The most annoying part is that that the "top 7" video does not only run on the channel in the resort rooms; the television monitors at the Disney bus stops at the parks run that same stupid video. I can understand running the videos in the resorts when people may be trying to plan their day but when they are waiting for a bus to get back to their resort???!! Give me a break. At the bus stops, why don't they run cartoons of Mickey and Friends like they do in the lobbies of the resorts?

By the way, I know someboy in the entertainment biz and he's told me "countdown" shows are ridiculously popular with the general viewing populace...doen't matter who determines the order of the list (usually just the writers of the show)...people just like to "countdown" along with the show. These types of shows give me flashbacks to the old Family Feud game show but, at least there, they surveyed the studio audience!

"I see London,I see France-You know the rest".Gag,gag-double and triple GAG!!!!!!!!

We made many a joke about Kryssa after our last trip. I miss the "Tip for Today" also. Now when we get ready, we put it on that channel that shows the constantly rotating list of park hours, etc, with the cheesy Muzak versions of Disney songs playing in the background. :)

The zippity-do-dah tip for today was soooo nuch better than Krissa. For those of us who used to watch that, Krissa is just a let-down.

She is a kind of fake Samantha Brown, IMO. :rotfl:

I agree, Stitch was OK, but nothing compared to the mountains.

I am a huge fan of Samantha Brown as well!!! She is genuine and real (or atleast appears that way ;) )

I agree though- Kryssa is just doing her job. And honestly, I would take a day with Kryssa giving the top ten (and being at WDW) over a day without (and being home) anytime!!! :flower: :sunny: :flower: :sunny:
