Theme Park Radio while driving to WDW

I remember as a kid listening to a Disney theme park radio broadcast on the way to Orlando. I also remember seeing a billboard advertising the AM frequency as you get closer to WDW. It was probably in the early 90’s.

It was like an hour long commercial that repeated itself. It defiantly was not “Radio Disney” as we know it now.

Does this still exist?

I am not aware of that station. I hope someone else can help with that. I would love to know about it if it exists. I will recommend these two online sites that offer Disney theme park music. You can listen before you go and download some of them. You may be able to make a CD for the ride at least. I know that there are other sites that offer the music, too. I am sure others can jump in here and share those sites as well.

Also, there are CDs at the parks with park music, too. Pick one up on your trip and you will have it for all future trips!

No, it's not there anymore. I used to listen to it too As soon as we started seeing the billboards advertising it, which was probably a few hours out from WDW we would turn it on. It was in the early and mid-90's but by '98 it was gone

That was always something we looked forward to. After spending about 25 hours that radio station brought us unspeakable joy. I don't think they really broadcast themepark music though. I could be wrong, but I think it was more of an informational station.

What stores? Haven't seen them. Can you purchase them anywhere else - online perhaps?
