Hi all we will be traveling with 3 people renting ECV, we are driving 2 vehicles. Checking the disney site it looks like we can utilize disability parking at the theme parks. We do not have disability placards just 3 70+ years young who are not upto walking Disney. I just want to confirm this is correct otherwise I will arrange budget for preferred parking all 5 days.

DH needs an ECV in WDW but doesn’t need a placard for everyday life. The parks have always allowed us to park in the medical overflow lot.

Let the parking attendants know you have an ECV and they will direct you to follow the blue line, usually by the right curb. Usually we’ll need to speak to one attendant after we enter the lot, and another attendant as we get closer to the front.

Have a great trip!

Thanks so much for the confirmation. Doing everything I can to make this a special trip for my parents including having my dad's sister along for the ride. Saving the preferred parking extra means more for a special meal. :flower:

Just DON’T park in any spot with a handicapped parking sign or blue paint lines. Those are the official handicapped parking spots that a handicapped parking permit is needed for. The Orange County police do patrol those lots and do issue tickets.
You can park in the Medical Lot overflow area, which has white lines.

Thanks for the extra information I will make sure all our drivers are aware of the parking rules. :flower:

You can ask for medical overflow parking which is right behind handicap parking

Also, when we were there in February, there were some rows marked with cones and a sign, the entire row was considered handicap parking. I believe these were temporary adjustments for social distancing, but just a heads up to pay attention to temporary signs as well just in case
