I'm joining in! you're plans look great, and I can take some advice, because me and my sister and doing the same thing! We just booked our Candlelight Processional dining package today. We are doing lunch at Rose n Crown, which I love, even though I was hoping for Via Napoli. Oh well!

You trip folder looks so cute too! I love it! Walmart always has some cute Disney stuff!

The QSDP is what me and my sister are doing too! I have never been to Disney without eating sooo much! Those table service meals get me!

I think that it is really fun that you are taking your mom. I hope to be able to do that one day! I just know that she would love it!

Have you been there at this time before? Do you know what the weather is like?! I'm an obsessive planner, so I've been shopping for clothes on sale from the fall/summer season hoping that they will be wearable down there!

Same with us. I was budgeting for all meals OOP, but once free dining came out we decided to add extra park days instead and take the free food.

Wow! The deluxe plan - that is a lot of table service. Enjoy it! My dream is to do the platinum plan one day.

We ended up getting deluxe because we pretty much had that many table services. It was only like $25-$30ish a day to upgrade so it's not that big of a deal to skip out on some apps/desserts or sub in a quick service for a table service. I'm sure if we were paying full price I'd be much more diligent about "getting my money's worth", but on this trip it's still a savings so I'm not going to bother!

The Platinum Plan sounds so fun, I'm kind of sad that they nixed the 'one day on Platinum' scheme that's been brought up on here. Platinum Plan and either a Boardwalk Inn Garden cottage suite or one of those $2000/night room in a monorail resort - perfect vacation!

Thanks! I had planned on doing something like this for my mom every month, but things got really busy so that turned out to be the only one. Oops!

I've never been in December before, but I was there last January. The weather was fall-like, though a bit cooler at night. But most days I was able to wear flip-flops and a tank top without needing a sweater until the sun went down. Let me tell you though, at night it can get chilly. From what I've heard, the last two Decembers have been unseasonably cold in Orlando so hopefully that's not the case this year. My mom keeps asking me if she's going to need long-johns to keep warm.

I know what you mean about the whole "getting your moneys worth" thing. Whenever we're on the regular dining plan I always eat more than I want to, just because I feel I'm wasting money if I don't. I tend to walk around the parks feeling super full and bloated after eating a TS meal. I think two TS meals a day would be waaaaaaaay to much pressure for me.

Platinum Plan at a monorail resort with a Magic Kingdom view...that would be the life.

So I'm sitting here staring out my window, watching the snow fall, and I can't help but think of Christmas and how 7 weeks is way too long to wait for this trip. I figured what better way to curb the Disney craving than to update my PTR (which I have been really bad at ). However, I wanted to share the good news that the trip is now officially paid in full! I submitted the final payment just a few days ago. Now the only money I have left to worry about is spending money in the parks, as we've also bought our tickets for MVMCP. We'll be at the 12/18 party. Maybe I'll see some of you there? I can't wait for the reports of the first few parties to start coming in so I can plan out what we most want to see.

I know! Crazy right? We ended up getting over 4 inches when all was said and done. Of course it melted the next day and we had almost 2 weeks of low 60's temperatures. You gotta love central PA weather.
