Hope: She smiled. Her wand was of hazel wood, with a unicorn hair core. She knew from Pottermore that hazel wands were extremely loyal to their owners, performed great magic and was in tune with the owner's emotional state. Hazel and unicorn wands, in fact, 'died' with their owners and would refuse to work or perform magic after their owner had passed. She thanked Ollivander and bought the wand.
