The Young Avengers: Us Against the World (YAMRP Part 3)

OOC: Ok

EDIT: Days of Future Past looks amazing! I don't know if I'll see it though :(

Nancy: "I'm not sure what animal of be."

Phil: "Me neither. Hmmm... Maybe a fox, or something like that. "

OOC: I hope you get to.

Raven: "I like the golden retriever idea Phil. Hmm, maybe a doe? Or a horse? Or a cat?"

Evelyn: "Aww thanks Alice, I like the dolphin idea. It will be my spirit animal."

Alice: "You're welcome."

June: She grabbed him and covered his mouth. "If you continue that I swear right when we get back to the manor I will shoot you with a night night gun. And trust me, they hurt."

Jay: "Woah woah Woah. June, I was just joking around. We're on the same team. Your going to have to get used to be being a goofball."

Jay: "Woah woah Woah. June, I was just joking around. We're on the same team. Your going to have to get used to be being a goofball."

June: "I'm used to it. I just detest that song." She released him.

June: "Just please, don't sing that song, gangnam style, call me maybe, or any one direction songs around me." She leaned against Conrad.

June: "I'm used to it. I just detest that song." She released him.

Jay: "I think everyone is sick of it. But it was a perfect opportunity."

Hope: She kissed his cheek. "It's okay love, I forgive you."

Jay: He grinned. "Thanks love." Jay grabbed her from behind and wrapped her arms behind her, gently rested his head on top of hers.

June: "Just please, don't sing that song, gangnam style, call me maybe, or any one direction songs around me." She leaned against Conrad.

Jay: "Sounds fair, will do."

Jay: "Sounds fair, will do."

Hope: She smiled and let him hold her.

Hope: She smiled and let him hold her.

Jay: He was at ease and happy to hold his pretty girlfriend.

Evelyn: They started and arrived at the American Pavilion, walking into the tall rotunda.

OOC: I have never been inside, only walking by it.

June: "Just please, don't sing that song, gangnam style, call me maybe, or any one direction songs around me." She leaned against Conrad.

Phil: "I think a golden retriever works for me." He wasn't overly surprised with June's reaction.

OOC: So remembered a while back when I started a YA story. Well I got a random motivation and finished it tonight. At one in the morning actually, so I apologize if it's really bad lol. I tend to write stories with a (hopefully) casual humorous tone. I'm better at writing for RP's, but this was fun and I liked creating their lives pre-camp. I'm currently writing a new one focused on during the battle of New York.

This story is focused on how Evelyn got inspiration to train hard to drive to be a SHIELD agent. She wanted to before, but this "mission" really pushes her. She and Jay also meet another YA for the first time.

It was a wet March afternoon in 2012. "Mom, can't we stay home alone yet. “Ev and are 13" , Jay moaned. Natasha sighed as she quickly got her bag together. "I'm sorry kiddo, remember the rule is fourteen. Plus I may need you two to help me." Evelyn's face lit up, "Really mom? Like actually be involved and not fill up Uncle Phil's coffee?" Natasha smiled as signaled them to leave their apartment. "Really Evie. There's a boy about your age who needs some help adjusting. He took a long nap, and you and Jay could really help him. I can't say too much until I get more information, but he and his dad could be key in saving our world in the future, and it's important you make him feel welcomed." Evelyn's face lit up as they all boarded the subway. "Wow, our first real mission!" "Are they gonna have food for us at HQ, I'm hungry.", Jay said clearly uninterested in this task. Natasha responded, "Jay, you were literally just eating oreos. Is literally all young teenage boys think about?!" She found him texting in a group chat of like 5 girls and him and shook her head. She started to do the whole when I was his age I was more youthful, but then again when Natasha was his age she was doing spy work. Nat assumed he’d never get a girlfriend, probably just enjoy the player single life forever.

In about ten minutes they arrived at HQ. “Evelyn, Jay, you stay here in the lounge. I’ll get you both in a moment. Nat went in the elevator and the kids started to chat, comfortable in the lobby couches with Starships playing in the background. “This Nikki Ma-something lady seems weird.”, said Evelyn. “And why is the top 40 playing here?” Jay responded, “Beats me. Got to have fun at work.” He went back to his phone but shortly was interrupted by the enthusiastic Evelyn. “Think Jay, we can help on a mission! A key in saving the world?! Awesome.” Jay sighed, “Nobody our age can help save the world. And I don’t think we’re going to make any friends with kids here. Remember that time like three years when we saw the curly haired girl and the African American girl rolling in the hallway? We never saw them again. And I doubt we ever will. Too bad, the curly haired one was pretty cute. And it’d be cool to have kids who can relate to having parents who are agents” Evelyn responded, “I think we may be able to maybe someday.” She then started to ramble on while Jay blankly nodded.

About ten minutes later Natasha came back downstairs. “Come on you too, follow me” They went up the elevator and walked down the hall. “Jay, try not to scare him okay? And you two keep this confidential okay? This is very serious.” They both nodded, Evelyn more eagerly. “Thank you. I’m sure you both have heard of the famous Captain America from WW2 that was frozen and never found again? Well SHIELD found him?” Evelyn’s eyes got wide. “SHIELD deals with superheroes?” Natasha replied, “Yes. Remember you can’t tell anyone any of this. Well Captain America wasn’t the only one to freeze. He had a son, Lieutenant America who is around your age. They just woke up a few hours ago, and both have talked to some adults. But we thought it’d be helpful for Lieutenant America, also known as Michael Rogers, to talk to some kids. He knows almost nothing about the modern world, so be mindful of that. In a few days, we hope to relocate them to the outside world. But nobody can know Michael is really Lieutenant America. This task mission is very important to keep confidential. Please make Micheal feel welcomed. Good luck you two.”

Director Fury came out of a doorway and nodded. The director? The twins figured this was a big deal. They walked into the room. It was set up like a 1940’s hospital room and in the bed there was a very tired younger Captain America look-a-like. It was convenient for the twins that last week was their WW2 test and history, and with that they learned about Captain America as he was a major propaganda figure and fighter, key in the winning the war for the Allies. Evelyn got a little nervous, and Jay was pretty chill. The door closed behind them and it time to talk and help Michael Rogers. “Hello Michael. I’m Evelyn. I don’t know if you’ve seen my mom, but she works here and looks like an older me, but with red hair. My dad works here, looks like my brother.”

She knudged Jay. “Oh hey! I’m Jay what’s up?” Poor Michael had a face of confusion, “Excuse me?” Jay felt bad. “Oh, sorry dude. I forgot different times, different phrases. What’s up means, how are you? How is life?” Michael nodded and shyly stared at his hospital gown. Jay shrugged. Evelyn tried of think of the best thing to say, she didn’t want to fail this mission and throw away her chances of maybe being an agent! And they were the first kids to talk to hmm. Ahhh, pressure. “So Micheal, any questions? We’re New Yorkers, born and breed. You’re from Brooklyn right?” Michael nodded. “Yes. And ma'am you can call me Mike. I.. don’t think I have any questions.” Evelyn smiled, “Okay Mike. We’re here whatever you need. If you don’t want to talk, that’s okay. Director Fury just thought’d it’d help if you want it. Don’t feel bad if you don’t want to, but we’re happy to help. Mike appreciated the concern of the friendly young lady. He spoke softly and awkwardly stared off the ground. “Well, I’m not in the mood to talk, but I would like company. And someone my age, well sort of. You see, technically I’m a senior citizen... but anyways you both stay. A story would be nice. And explain the parts I may be confused about if all that’s not too much of a bother.”, he blushed. “Oh no problem at all Mike, Jay and I would be happy to.” Evelyn and Jay went on for about a half hour telling an engaging stories of their lives. Evelyn had the plot and emotion. Jay added the humor. The door knocked and Natasha came in. “Hello Michael. I’m Agent Barton, Jay and Evelyn’s parents. Kids, it’s time to go.”
The young Bartons nodded and waved goodbye to Mike. Jay went up to Mike and tried to give him a fist pump, but gave up as Natasha facepalmed. “Sorry man. Well it was cool to meet you!” “Goodbye Mike. It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope we helped. Have a nice day.” They left. “Good job kids, especially you Evie. We were watching from the camera.” The kids faces were surprised. “Yeah, welcome to the business. Anyways thanks, and please keep this a secret. It’s vital. Mission completed.” Evelyn’s heart swelled up and pride and excitement. Jay rolled his eyes. Clint came down the hall and gave them a hug. “Hey kiddos! Great job.” Evelyn spoke, “Are we going to help Mike more mom?” Natasha sighed, “I’m sorry. I don’t think you’ll ever see Mike again. Part of security. But thanks for today, I think you both helped him.” “Well mom, I’m glad we helped. And I can’t wait to help and save the world later in life more.” Natasha grinned and smiled. She was quite ambitious and driven. She knew Jay had his kinks and wouldn’t become an Agent, but he’d make a huge impact somehow else. “Well, dad and I are busy. An intern is going to drive you back to the apartment. I love you both.” The intern came out and they said their goodbyes. Evelyn was the most excited she’d been in a while coming home. Jay wouldn’t admit it, but that was pretty cool. This was the moment she swore to herself, train train train. To an insane amount really, but she never realized that until Summer Camp 2014 or maybe the manor.

Jay: He was at ease and happy to hold his pretty girlfriend. Evelyn: They started and arrived at the American Pavilion, walking into the tall rotunda. OOC: I have never been inside, only walking by it.

Thora: "Ooh! There's a show! Let's watch it!" She pointed at a sign if it.

June: She checked her watch. "I suppose we could." It would give her a little bit of time with Conrad.

OOC: Thanks!

Jay: "Yeah sure let's go!"

OOC: I have never seen this show (With all these things I probably sound like a Disney noob. I promise I'm not. I know bunches about the parks I just haven't visit ad many show) but isn't there war in it? How extreme is it and should Evelyn sit it out with Mike? Would the show bother Mike?"

OOC: The American Pavillion show wasn't that great. I saw it two or three trips ago and honestly it mostly talked about American History. Basically the stuff I learned in fourth and fifth grade. I don't think the war in it is too much and I honestly don't remember them showing anything gruesome because the show's intended for little kids.

EDIT: The preformance before the show was splendid and I liked that though.

OOC: Ah okay thank you. It always seemed a little boring. I was planning on Jay using it for a nap XD It might be good for the Thorsons tho. Maybe the group could split up?

OOC: I'm cool with that. It wasn't the worst show I've seen, but I'd personally much rather see Impressions de France twenty more times.
