Evelyn: "Yeah. Halloween is fun. I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It was always a good time in our house, and you could watch the Macy's Day Parade from our balcony."

I didn't date for a long time, until another girl named Susan caught my attention and we went out for a couple weeks before she admitted that she had only been using me to make her ex-boyfriend jealous and she then got back together with said ex-boyfriend. There I am, in the midst of betrayal, and who shows up on the scene but Amanda, telling me how sorry she is and how she wishes things could have ended better or that we'd stayed together and that she'd love to try again. I believed her - not my smartest move - and we dated again for a while, before this elite rich kid started flirting and dancing with her at the dance and she left me for him, thus breaking my heart the second time."
