The Young Avengers: A Very Avengers Holiday (YARP Part 6)

Raven: She chuckled. "Poor guy."

Evelyn: "Ah okay." This didn't seem like a laughing matter...

OOC: Whoops sorry I missed this.

Jay: "You know what, YEAH! I'M EATING ANOTHER COOKIE!" He took a bite and happily sighed. "Haha, I mean what you eat doesn't effect your health it seems."

Gordon: He smiled. "Well, I am a god, so..."

 

[Orreed]

Raven: "He-" She heard the elevator stop and she clamped her mouth shut and turned her back on June.

Sam: He walked in, hand firmly in Conrad's shoulder.

Mike: He immediately disentangled himself from Evelyn and ran to Conrad and hugged him upon seeing them. No tears, no misses, just brotherly support.

Jay: Sweet, Conrad was back. Jay hadn't seen him since before the accident.

Evelyn: Yay Conrad!

 

[Orreed]

Gordon: He smiled. "Well, I am a god, so..."

Jay: "True. Lucky. I wanna be a god."

Evelyn: "That's a scary thought. You'd abuse your power and do stupid things like make a castle built out of ice cream sanwhiches.", she laughed.

Jay: "Good idea!"

Gordon: He laughed. He smiled seeing Conrad. "He is looking well."

 

[Fairywings]

Mike: He was totally relaxed, letting her do whatever she wanted with his hair. So Evelyn might have him wrapped around her finger. No one had ever called him out on it, and if Jay chose to, well, Jay was beyond wrapped around Hope's finger, he worshiped the ground she walked on. Mike did that too for Evelyn sometimes but why not? He was raised with the expectation that you acted like a gentleman all the time, and if you had a girl you treated her like she was a princess.

OOC: It doesn't matter that much, but I think you missed this post, and if nothing else it's a teeny bit funny.

Jay: Sweet, Conrad was back. Jay hadn't seen him since before the accident.

Evelyn: Yay Conrad!

Mike and Conrad: They stood hugging for a long moment, until Raven went and pried Mike back.

Raven: "Give him some spaces, Stars and Stripes. Hey bro."

Conrad: "Hi."

Raven: "You know Mike, Evelyn, June. The elf is Ev's twin brother, Jay. Miss Innocent Princess is my best friend, Hope. And the Blonde Warrior duo are the twins Gordon and Thora."

Conrad: "How many sets of twins are there?"

Raven: "Five or six. It's so ridiculous, and so not funny."

Thora: She bowed. "You are looking well, my friend."

June: "Hey, man," she smiled at him.

 

[Fairywings]

Conrad: "I'm completely healed physically, if you discount the scars, but they don't bother me and the docs said they'll be lifelong anyway."

Mike: He winced.

Conrad: "Don't look like that. I can charm pretty girls with my battle scars."

Mike: "Getting hit by a car isn't exactly a battle. And even if it is, I'm pretty sure the car won."

Conrad: "Aw, semantics, details. Whatever, they'll never know. You're probably just sore I saved your life so you don't have any battle scars to show off."

Mike: That hurt. And the worst thing was Conrad had no idea of how much his words really meant. Mike forced a smile on his face and told himself to ignore it. Yes, carry on and keep marching and firing, like a good little soldier. "Nah, I got enough battle scars. And of course, I have no need to charm anyone, not when I've got my princess Evelyn."

Gordon: Sensing Mike's obvious discomfort, he said "I have more scars than both of you combined, and there are never girls all over me, so I think you're out of luck, con."

Thora: She snorted. "Brother..."

June: She scowled hearing him talk like that. "He doesn't need scars to impress girls," she murmured to herself.

Gordon: Sensing Mike's obvious discomfort, he said "I have more scars than both of you combined, and there are never girls all over me, so I think you're out of luck, con."

Thora: She snorted. "Brother..."

Conrad: "Okay, so that joke may have been tasteless." He ruffled his hair. It hadn't quite all grown back yet from having to be shaven to reach the head wound. "I think I'm just going to go to my room," he muttered. "Have a good night. Ray?"

Raven: "Conrad..."

Conrad: "Raven!" He snapped. Then he flinched, and added more calmly, "Please."

Raven: Her face smoothed blank, for those who had seen her in her full employee/agent glory, they would recognize her 'I'm going to follow orders and not question it because following orders is my life and my job and I will show no emotions about them' face. "Let's go." She led him into the elevator and they went to their floor.

 

[Orreed]

Raven: "Then Lord save us all when you and Hope get married."

Hope: She blushed heavily.

OOC: Oh sorry, that was stupid. I think he's a little bit used to it, because of Nancy, but it may be a new time kind of thing.



Mike: "Evelyn, everything's fine, I'm okay-"

Conrad: "Raven!" He snapped. Then he flinched, and added more calmly, "Please."

Raven: Her face smoothed blank, for those who had seen her in her full employee/agent glory, they would recognize her 'I'm going to follow orders and not question it because following orders is my life and my job and I will show no emotions about them' face. "Let's go." She led him into the elevator and they went to their floor.

Jay: It didn't embaress him, he was confident and didn't care if the world said he and Hope were getting married. They were. "Well at least only one of us is a superhero. I'm just human. But do you think that's a sensible theory?"

OOC: Oh no problem, I could ttotally seeing that being a different generation thing and even some people today find it out. It was an adorable read.

Evelyn: "Conrad! I'm sorry. Don't take it personal. I was just explaining something."

It's possible that the genes of children whose parents have powers are more likely to be mutate-able. But it depends on just how much the powers have been written into the genetic code...." She suddenly blinked, aware she was in public. "Of course, it'd be a whole lot different for Asgardians, they're made up a lot differently than us mortals. And no one probably cares or understands what I'm rambling about anyway."

Raven: She had already whisked Conrad away as per his request.

Mike: He pinched the bridge of his nose. "I feel a headache coming on."

Hope: She frowned a little, messing with her bottom lip using her teeth as she thought. "Maybe. Depends on genes - both what genes there are and whether the're dominant or recessive genes. It's possible that the genes of children whose parents have powers are more likely to be mutate-able. But it depends on just how much the powers have been written into the genetic code...." She suddenly blinked, aware she was in public. "Of course, it'd be a whole lot different for Asgardians, they're made up a lot differently than us mortals. And no one probably cares or understands what I'm rambling about anyway."
