The Young and The Restless .. Take 5 .. Spoilers Welcome!

I don't know why Genoa City Memorial even has a maternity ward. All babies are born at home, at the Abbott cabin or in an elevator. And Olivia delivers the ones that the daddy/purported baby daddy does not. They might want to mix it up a little and have The Guy Who Lives Outside Jack/Adam/Victor's office handle the next emergency baby delivery.

I'd love to see Ghost John deliver one. :lmao:

Abby returns to Genoa City on Monday, February 11th, and according to portrayer Marcy Rylan, the Naked Heiress did a little soul searching while she was hanging out with mom Ashley in New York.

"For the first time, Abby is feeling a little embarrassed about her previous choices," Marcy said. "She's trying really hard to be a better person...and figure out where she fits if she's not running around naked." The character will have some interaction with paramour Carmine, Marcy confirmed, and "Abby is a little surprised by what Carmine has to say."

Marcy readily accepted the invitation to come back to the show after being let go last fall; it was only later that she started to realize her return might be a bit awkward. "It didn't even cross my mind before that it [my first day] could be a little awkward... so I was a little bit nervous. On Monday of my first week, I did my first fitting and we have a new costume designer so then I was really nervous because it felt like I was starting over somewhere new. But she picked such fabulous clothes and I was trying on all these outfits that were very Abby, so once I was in the clothes, I was like, 'Oh, yeah, this feels like second nature.' So then I was super excited."

Jamie admits to Michael and Lauren that Fen pushed him off the roof.
Michael and Lauren argue as Michael sides with Jamie. Lauren refuses to
believe Fen is capable of such behavior. Tracy Bergman (Lauren) thinks it’s a normal
reaction, plus she feels in her heart that he is innocent. Lauren
thinks Michael is more worried over Jamie than his own son. Michael
insists that they cannot ignore that Fen could be headed down the same
dark path he took. Lauren then comes forward about her own dark past
with Traci but says they are not those people anymore. When Fen returns
home Michael tells him Jamie may press charges. Fen lashes out and
throws it in his face that he was in prison for trying to rape someone.
Fen blows up because Michael and Lauren never told him about it and
calls Michael a hypocrite. Lauren overhears and wonders what Michael is
going to do. TB thinks both Michael and Lauren have compelling
arguments.

While posing as Nick’s bartender, Dylan is anxious to reunite with Avery. He’s come to town just to see if she’s happy and if she wants to get back together, notes Steve Burton. When Avery arrives at the Underground, she is shocked to see Dylan but before they can talk Nick interrupts. Nick introduces Avery to his new employee which makes her uncomfortable. She comes up with an excuse and leaves. Nick wonders what’s wrong but Avery urges him to be with his guest. Afterwards, Dylan approaches Avery and explains where he’s been; she can’t help but to touch his face. JC thinks it’s the foundation of a great triangle because there are no bad guys and it’s a powerful story. Unfortunately someone else notices them interacting.

Noah realizes there is more going on with Adrianna and Alex, he wants no part of it and tells Adrianna to leave with her money. Alex confronts Adrianna and a stupid scene ensues, she gets away with the cash

I know this might be an unpopular thought :flower3: BUT I applaud the effort of trying to get some new storylines in there (I just don't care much for the Winters family either.) There are only so many different ways that Jack and Victor can try to mess with each other (how many times has NE and/or Jabot changed hands over the years??) While I like that they will never be friends (or even frenemies) I don't need it to be the only storyline either.

As for the Winters, if they are going to try and give them a compelling storyline, then PLEASE give us something to sink our teeth into. Don't start a storyline tease and then drop it. Either let them have it 100% or don't bother. (and quite honestly, I am getting that way with Devon. DON'T BOTHER!!! His character bores me to tears.)

Honestly, I am looking forward to the drama that Tyler/Lily and potentially Cane/Chelsea can bring. I am sick of Lily always being the "good girl" who looks down on everyone. But so help me, if she cheats too and then plays the victim if Cane does it after....

I am also looking forward to Dylan/Avery/Nick/Sharon triangle that has been hinted at.

I agree the Adrianna/Noah/Dirty Cop thing has been handled poorly. I think that storyline could have had an interesting potential, but it took WAY too long to roll out and now I don't care. (I also don't care for the casting job they did for her.)

I've been watching since 1986, so I am not willing to cross it off my list yet. There is definitely some things happening that I applaud the new writers for. But I feel that have a very short window to make or break the show, and I am hoping for "make it..."

I second everything you've said! While the plots of the recent past havent been as good as Y&Rs history, I'm not ready to give up! I like the fact that they are taking chances with the new sets, new storylines, and new castmembers. It's almost like they've got one foot in the old world, one in the new, and they're trying to figure out what works while trying to survive the hits taken by the whole genre!

I also agree that they have a short window! Like you, even though I cant always stomach how they've handled a favorite character, I dont know what I would do if my "old friends" werent available for viewing.

By the way, while I could do without the Summer/Brittney/Jamie/Fen bully thing that's happening, I love what it's doing with Michael and Fen!
....see how they do that!...that's how they getcha! :lmao:

When Avery fails to show up for a meeting and won't answer her phone, Sharon gets worried and goes to check on her. Avery opens upto Sharon about what is bothering her
Jack goes to see Adam, check on things and thank him. Jack learns that Victor turned down Adam's offer and warns this means Victor is upto something, Adam needs to be prepared

Victor runs into Jack and Phyllis at the AC and wastes no time in trying to taunt Jack but Jack does not let Victor get to him.
Mason attempts to switch Sharon's medication but he is hesitant and in the end does not do it. Later Adam takes Sharon to his place, they talk and it ends with Adam kissing Sharon which takes her by surprise

Next - Abby is back ; Lauren pissed at Michael ; Nikki opening upto Victoria about her illness

Michael and Lauren’s marriage takes another big hit after Fen is arrested. Lauren doesn't understand why Michael is acting like a DA instead of a father. Fen makes bail but at home things are tense. Things get heated between Michael and Lauren which leads to an argument. TB is quoted saying that "they are farther apart than they've ever been.” After Lauren can no longer take anymore, she leaves and heads to On the Boulevard. While there, she sees Carmine who listens to her vent while serving her several glasses of wine. Lauren is in no shape to drive home and Carmine is more than willing to help. However, they have no idea that someone is watching them and gets interested. The next morning Lauren wakes up with a hangover. Michael admonishes her but she’s unashamed. In Lauren’s mind notes the actress, the bond between them is broken. She doesn't think Lauren will ever be able to forgive Michael for believing someone outside their family.

ChelC will end up pregnant with Adams baby. Liz Henderson (Chloe) has even tweeted about it. Still looking for confirmation.

After Adam and Sharon share a kiss, she regrets the encounter. Sharon Case is quoted saying, Sharon is “a little freaked out,” She knows it wasn't smart and wants to make sure that he’s over Chelsea. Sharon wants Adam to take his time with that instead of jumping into another relationship. If he’s not done, it could become back and forth emotionally. She would rather stay friends and help him with the loss of his marriage. Also Sharon doesn't feel good about being the cause of the marriage ending. Adam insist that the marriage is over, Chelsea’s decision. Nevertheless, Sharon has made lots of mistakes with her life and wants to be more careful but Nikki is about to make that difficult.
