I have watched y&r since I was a kid...too many years to count. I was so sad to hear about Billy Miller leaving, but could justify continuing watching because of Michael Muhney. If BOTH of them are gone? Forget it, I'm out. Maybe I can do something productive with that new-found hour of my time.

Who is left on this sinking ship? Victor and Nicki? Pul-eaze! Jack? Like him, but not a draw. Oooohhhh...maybe they'll put Nick and Sharon BACK together! Who cares?! None of the Winters clan is a draw...they've made Lily and Cane so boring.

No Billy and no Adam? Buh-bye y&r.

agree...they are the 2 biggest draws on this show...I really think they want to take the show off the air like the other shows that have gone by the way side...I think what I would like to do is just watch the show from the first episode and on...when they show was really really really good....there has to be so much that I have forgotten :)

I may be late to the game but is Michael leaving too?!?!

Yes. Michael Muhney was fired Monday evening. Michael and Billy Miller filmed their final scenes today. It will air on our screens January 30.

The role of Adam Newman will be recast.

Billy stops by Jacks with a birthday gift for Summer. Jack tells him about the plans to bring Victor down, and Kyles role at Newman. They discuss the possibility of Victor playing them. The convo moves to who set up DD's foundation and Kelly. Billy tells his brother that Kelly has been a good friend to him. But Jack still thinks its bad for his marriage, and believes Kelly will cause trouble for him and Victoria. Jack tells him that Billy could loose everything.

At the Ranch, Victor and Nikki are arguing over Dylan. Victor insists Dylan will not be welcomed in their family. Victor brings up Paul too. He's still pissed that Nikki turned to him. Victor tells Nikki that HE had her will re-drafted to delete Dylan, and tells her to sign the new copy. Angry, Nikki slams the papers down and leaves the room.

At The Underground, Nick apologizes to Sharon for the kiss. She tells him, "It didn't mean anything." Nick tells her he didn't mean to send her any mixed signals. Sharon understands and agree that they are just friends. Faith joins them. They decide to spend Christmas together at Sharons.

At the GCAC, Adam and ChelC run into Dylan. Dylan asks them about Connor. Adam tells him he's fine, but reminds him Connor is not his concern. Dylan tells them about Nikki being his mother. Adam advises him to "buckle his seat belt" but Dylan tells him he has no intentions of being a part of the Newman family. Afterwards, Adam and ChelC discuss the future. Adam tells her guys like him don't get the fairytale happy ending. ChelC tells him she loves him anyway.

At Newman, Noah demands Kyle tell him what he was doing with the file. Kyle tells him he was just closing it. But Noah doesn't believe him. They argue, Victor comes in breaking it up. He then assigns BOTH of them to Bonaventure Industries. Afterwards, Noah tells Victor that he caught Kyle going through the files.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria and Stitch run into each other. They talk about Johnny's allergy. They talk about him being a good doctor, she even tells him that Dylan is lucky to have a friend like him. Stitch tells her Dylan is more like a brother to him. Dylan arrives and they both tell Victoria funny stories about how they met. They also open up about about Sully and the difficulties of the holidays for war vets. Victoria invites her new brother to her home for the holidays. Nikki joins them and encourages him to join them. Nikki, "I'm going to treat you the same way I treat my other children."

At Villy's Billy surprises Victoria with a Christmas tree. They begin decorating. Billy finds an ornament with Delia's pic. He hangs it on the tree. Victoria hugs her hubby telling him, "We're going to get through this." He replies, "I know baby."

Kyle is home telling his dad what happened at the office. Jack isn't happy hearing Noah caught him going through the files. Jack wants Kyle out of the company, believing Victor putting him on the Bonaventure account was not a coincidence. Kyle insists he stay.

Michael Muhney, Adam Newman On 'Young And The Restless,' Abruptly Fired, And Here's Why (EXCLUSIVE)

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/1...interview_n_4467176.html?utm_hp_ref=canada-tv

Sorry if this article has already been posted, but just wanted to share in case it hasn't yet :) ...

Very interesting interview Michael Muhney gave ... It seems to me that maybe Eric Braeden had a little something to do with Michael's firing :scratchin :( ... Michael himself admits that his own hubris may have also played a role, but if anyone has an ego, Eric Braeden needs to look in the mirror too ...

I wouldn't mind to see Victor go away for a few months ... And he can take Nikki & sons, Paul & Christine, the Baldwin's and the Winters' with him ...

How do they think they can find someone to play the role of Adam better than Michael? ... Stupid decision, IMO ...

I have never liked Eric Braeden, or as I usually call him Mr. Mumbles. Cannot stand the way he always has his head down when he is talking to others, as if he is looking down on them from his lofty perch. Maybe this is acting, but it bugs me. I would love it if they got rid of Victor permanently. And I agree about the Winters and Baldwin families.

And all of Jill's pets, I don't like any of them, especially Melissa Ordway. And get rid of Tyler, a useless character, just someone to give Abby a storyline. And replace Michelle Stafford so the Sharon secret can be revealed. This nonsense has gone on way too long.

I'm off of my soapbox now!

I read the stuff on FB about Michael the other day and though "huh?" He's been great for the character and I was hoping that this Delia thing would turn out that she was hit by someone else. It sure didn't look like he hit her.

I like Adam & Chelsea together - if they were going to go this route they should have left her with Dylan and moved on.

I didn't realize Billy Miller was leaving. Just as his story heats up with Annie in the mix. Sorry, Cynthia Watros played "Annie" on GL and broke up Rosh & Reva, so she's still Annie the home wrecker to me! She does a good job, though!

I am still behind, have eps to watch from last week. I just don't care about a majority of these characters anymore. I started watching the show in the summer of 1973 and agree with another poster - send us some old episodes from when the show was good! Brooks family! Leslie and Lori fighting over Lance (John McCook, Eric on B&B)!

I really thought they were setting up Adam to replace Victor and having him accidentally kill Delia would have set up the future Newman/Abbott war with Billy and Adam as the lead characters for the future of y&r. How many times can Jack and Victor go back and forth over Nicki? Honestly, I appreciate the legacy characters, but not with the same story line from twenty years ago.

We watch these shows for the characters and the emotions they inspire in us. Just seeing a bunch of new actors inspires nothing but apathy from me.

UGH... great article by the way with MM....Enjoyed the read....seems the show does not really care what we think...the viewers....seems they know whats right for us and what we should like....hmmmm sounds familiar these days....

Use to love the characters Michael and Kevin...they have made them so boring......they ruined Michael and his family to no return...they keep the characters that most of us FF when they are on....and keep doing the best they can to write the stupidest story lines ever...

with the actors that are loved they should do everything they can to hold on to them...maybe they will head over to the BB after all that seems to be the dropping post for all the way ward actors from this show....

I really only watch because I like Jack, Billie and Adam ....I like Adam with Chelsea..Billy with Victoria...and Jack and his comments about the mustache....

The show lost a lot of viewers when they killed off DD...this will make them loose more with both loved actors gone....do they not get this???? I guess not or maybe its just that they don't care.

Abby and Tyler are back in California. They spend time together on the beach. Meanwhile, it looks like someone is looking at the couple on a computer. We don't see who it is, all we see are hands with a tattoo. Abby leaves her hotel room to get some Christmas decorations. Tyler is taking a shower. We see that Abby is being watched as she leaves and someone uses a key card to sneak into their hotel room.

At the Ranch, Nikki tells Victor that she officially made Dylan a part of their family. This pisses Victor off. Dylan stops by. Victor attacks him, asking if he conned Nikki into changing her will. Victor decides to leave, but before he leaves, he threatens Dylan telling him not to hurt his wife. After Victor is gone, Dylan tells Nikki that he doesn't want her money, but he does want to know about her medical history. Nikki gives him her medical file. She also talks to him about her MS. Dylan then asks about his bio-father, Ian Ward's medical history. Nikki tells him she hasn't spoken to him in years. Dylan talks about looking into Ian Ward's history, he now knows he was a bad man. Dylan wishes her a Merry Christmas and leaves. Nikki is pleased with their chat.

Nick is at The Underground wrapping Christmas presents. Avery comes in with the guitar she bought Nick last Christmas. She asks how he's doing. Nick tells her he's fine, but she doesn't believe him. She tells him that her and Dylan are taking it day by day. Avery also notices Nick wrapping a gift for Sharon but she doesn't say anything about it. Nick tells her that he will be spending the holidays with family. Avery is hoping Nick could find it in his heart to make peace with Dylan.

Paul calls Summer to the GCPD. He wants to know if she knows where Fen is. He tells her that she could be an accessory if she doesn't tell him where Fen is. He even threatens her with jail time! Summer tells Paul the truth. She doesn't know where Fen is. Paul has no choice but to let her go.

Victor shows up at Paul's office wanting to know everything there is to know about Dylan. Victor is still angry that Nikki turned to Paul instead of him. Paul stands by his decision to help Nikki. Victor then attacks Paul on what happened at the commune years ago, Victor is pissed because Paul didn't protect Nikki. Paul tells him that he didn't know that Ian was abusing Nikki. Things continue to get heated, Victor tells Paul to stay out of Nikki's business all together.

Summer runs to the Baldwins telling them that Paul threatened her with jail time if she didn't tell him about Fen. Summer tells them about Fen admitting to Carmine's murder. They come up with a plan/trick to lure Fen back to town. Later, Fen arrives at the police station. His parents are there, Michael tells Paul Fen is ready to turn himself in. Paul reads him his rights.

Dylan and Avery meet up. They decide to spend Christmas together.

WOW, two very different "goodbye" videos.

MM's was barely 4 minutes and all OLDER pics and NO ONE from the cast or crew spoke. I always thought MM and Sharon appeared to be very good co-workers and friends.

Billy's video was 12 minutes and hysterical and joking and fun and LIVE.

Hmmmmm.

I still would like to know what the heck happened.

And typical so many RUMORS are swirling around the internet.

Sharon Case was behind the video for Michael. She's the only one who gave him any attention.

WHAT??????????? Haven't been able to watch or read any yr news for a couple of months (dang that darn life stuff :( ). MM is leaving??????????? What happened! Good gosh! Billy and Adam gone? This is terrible.

OK, just read some previous posts. They FIRED MM to appease old waddle-butt, EB. Are they total idiots? Don't see a lot of reason to watch with the two best actors, BM and MM, gone.

Its Christmas Eve. At the Abbotts, Jack and Hillary discuss business. He gives her some work to do, but tells her to take the night off, enjoy the holiday. She asks him about his plans. Jack tells her that Kyle is snowboarding with friends, and he doesn't want to bother Summer. After Hillary leaves, John comes to him and tells him to be with someone who can take care of him. Jack looks at Phyllis' pictures. He calls her hospital room, "Merry Christmas Red. I love you."

Nick goes to Sharons with Faith's new dollhouse. Sharon tells him to put it together and place it under the tree. Faith comes down and see's her dollhouse. Nick and Sharon quickly try to cover, telling her they are helping Santa. Faith tells them that they are the best helper elves ever. Faith then decides since she saw a gift, her parents should open a gift too. Nick got a "Best Dad" t-shirt. Sharon got a foot spa. Faith tells her parents that Santa heard her wish, she wanted her parents together for Christmas.

At the GCAC, the Winters/Ashby's gather for holiday dinner. They talk about Devon's legal troubles. Leslie is still working on getting the video surveillance from Las Vegas to prove his innocence. Hillary walks in. Hillary is shocked when Lily wishes her a Merry Christmas. Hilary buys Devon a drink. They talk about Katherine and someone stealing Devon's identity. Hilary tells him she knows who is causing his troubles...she thinks he does too.

At the GCPD, Fen is angry with both Summer and his parents. Michael talks to Chris reminding her that Fen turned himself in. Michael wants her to turn Fen over to them after his arraignment. Chris believes Fen is a flight risk. But afterwards, grants his wish. Before Fen leaves the station, he lashes out at Summer for betraying him. Summer believes she did the right thing, and points out that she would love to go home with both of her parents.

At the Baldwins, Lauren and Michael try to cheer their son up. Fen tells them he's not in the mood. He's scared.

In LA, there is a woman in the hotel room with Tyler. Tyler is in the shower, she finds Tyler's cell phone and starts punching in numbers. From the bathroom, Tyler hears what he thinks is Abby, so he calls out, "Abby...Did you forget something?" She says nothing, but she goes over to the bed and ruffles the covers and then quickly leaves. Abby notices a woman walking in the hall and goes to her room asking Tyler who she was. Tyler tells her he thought he was talking to her. Abby notices the messy bed and his phone, she's pissed thinking he was spending time with his ex. Tyler, anxious to clear his name, takes Abby down to the front desk. A clerk apologizes to them, there was a room key mix-up. Abby apologizes to Tyler and they continue with their holiday vacay.

The citizens of GC gather at Chancellor Park for The First Annual Holiday Candle Lighting Ceremony. Paul, Christine, Jack, Lily, Cane, Leslie, Neil, Sharon, Nick and Faith and Summer are there.

If you were, let's say, a big corp and wanted to get rid of someone, but did NOT want that someone to go to a competitor (after you got the "someone" to sign a non-disclosure so they would never be able to defend themselves w/o costing their family a ton of money), would it be "convenient" to start a rumor that would be difficult, if not impossible, to deny, would give the big corp a "reason" for getting rid of the "someone" and protect other egos, that may have been involved, but you want to shield? Just saying…

PS Want to wish all the wonderful y&r watchers a Merry Christmas and a big thank you to the very special, HD, who gives us a gift every day (almost :) ) with her updates and spoilers!
