I am a little surprised that they are doing away with Tucker. But the rest of the "fired" I am fine with leaving.

As for the back burner, most of those characters have been through it before, except Jack & Victor. Call me "old school" but I can't imagine the show surviving without those two...

I totally agree.

They get Jack walking and then have him walk on off into the sunset.

I am fine with all the firings, but am surprised to see the regulars going.

If it becomes centered on Jack's newly aged son, I am going back to CNN during the day.

Well, that just seals the deal for me. No point in watching a bunch of snobby kids. I grew up with those "vets" and continued to watch to see what was going on with the "vets". Not really vested in the likes of Abby/Kyle/Summer or any of them. Was really only tuning into the show lately to see what was going on with Phyllis/Christine/Paul and their storyline. I do like Chelsea and Adam as well as Billy/Victoria, but if Billy Miller leaves, that's out too. I am thinking daytime TV is done for me. Thanks, Sony!

Sharon and Victor are on the Newman jet flying to Vegas. Victor tells her before they get married, they have to discuss something first....PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT!! At first, Sharon was thinking that she rushed to this decision, but Victor talks her into signing. If they divorce, she will recieve a healthy settlement! The justice of the peace boards the plane, the pilot is there to witness and video tape. Victor gives her a HUGE diamond, for his ring, he takes the wrapper off of a cigar and Sharon places it on his finger. Agreeing to buy a wedding band for him later. After the wedding, Victor decides to call Billy and tell him about the wedding. Victor sends him a full video of their quick nuptials and Billy uploads it to his site.

Chelsea takes the paternity test. She's NOT pregnant. But her and Adam are ready to start planning. They head for the bookstore to find a book on child rearing.

Nick goes to Victoria's and tells her whats going on with Tim Reed. He also asks her to not say a word to Billy. She agrees.

Phyllis meets Tim at the bookstore. He has a recording of their old sessions. He plays a part where she admits to hitting Paul and Christine. He tells her he will keep his mouth shut for a price. A KISS! Phyllis does her best to keep her cool, but Tim is insisting that she pay up. But for now, he will take a kiss on the cheek. She kisses him on the cheek and pushes him off. Tim tells her that kiss will do...FOR NOW! He expects more...LATER!!! Once he's gone, Adam walks up and he can immediately tell something is wrong with Phyllis, but ChelC is there to pull Adam away. After a while, the newlyweds are still in the book store discussing the kids they plan on having. ChelC playfully pushes Adam back and he bumps into Tim. Tim snaps at them and storms off.

Nikki is preparing for her wedding. She leaves the Abbott mansion telling Jack that she's going to Victoria's to get ready. But she ends up at the Newman ranch in her horse ridding gear. Of course she makes a b-line to the main house, and walks in calling out for Victor. She see's the wedding album sitting on the coffee table. She looks through the pics. She gets up to leave and leaves her riding crop behind.

Ashley has decided she's moving to NYC with Tracy. She says her final goodbyes to Tucker.

Jack is determined to stand for his wedding even though Billy and Sarge is telling him not to. He manages to stand up but only for a few seconds. Traci is also there to witness it.

At the wedding, Nick can tell something is bothering Phyllis, but she denies it.

Sharon and Victor are back at the ranch. She goes upstairs to move her things out of the guest room (ewwwwww) Victor notices the riding crop Nikki left behind. He takes off, without saying a word to his bride. After he leaves, Sharon comes downstairs looking for her husband. She too see's the riding crop, grabs her purse and heads out the door.

The guests are gathering for the wedding. Billy pulls Victoria aside and tells her about Victor and Sharon. She tells him to NOT tell anyone else until AFTER the wedding. But Billy neglected to tell her about Victor sending him a full video of his wedding and that it has already been loaded to his website.

Inside the Abbott house, Nikki is dressed in her wedding gown. In walks Victor!

I'm "hoping" what they mean by the kids storylines is Victoria/Billy, Adam/Chelsea, Nick/Phylis, Kevin/Chloe, and to some extent Lily/Cain, Abby/Flavor of the Week, Kyle, Eden, Noah etc.

I can't see them writing out the vets completely, just not central storylines.

Of course, if I am wrong (which NEVER happens ) then that will be the end of me and daytime TV as well. Many years ago when I started watching, I watched ALL the CBS soaps (Y&R, B&B, ATWT & GL). Through the years as I got busier, I dropped them one by one, but still kept up with Y&R. It would be a shame to let it go

Jeanne Cooper On Daytime Soap Genre: It's Not Being Taken Away, It's Being Killed THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS legend Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) is currently doing a book and press tour in support of her new memoir, "Not So Restless," out this week. The Emmy winner appeared on "The Morning Jolt" with Larry Flick on Sirius XM and "The Morning Show" on WTYM on Wednesday and talked about the book and the current changes taking place behind the scenes at the soap.

Cooper said that she had spoken in the past with ousted executive producer and head writer Maria Bell about the difficulties of managing two major projects (Y&R and the MOCA museum board).

"I have to say in Maria's defense, Maria basically turned around a museum, but it's very difficult to wear two hats. When you are running two big projects, you can not give your hundred percent to either one of them. One of them has to fall short. And when that happens, and you have those two hats to wear, you sure as hell better have people around you that have your back, not waiting for you to make a mistake, cut your knees off and take your job."

Cooper believes that soaps still have a place but are being mismanaged. [EDITOR'S NOTE: This was the sentiment of our 25 Biggest Blunders list.]

"It's not being taken away," Cooper said of the daytime soap opera genre. "It's being killed."

She also has strong political beliefs.

"I'm really tired of the big corps trying to tell America, 'You will like what I give you,' and if you don't like it, tough."

Jeannie will be on "The Talk" tomorrow afternoon. I'm curious to see what she has to say!

I can do without New Kyle! I really like the old characters and can't imagine a show without Jack, Victor, Phyllis, Nikki.

In the lastest issue of Soap Opera Digest it features an article about Sharon crashing Nikki and Jack's wedding...

Hours after their marriage Sharon finds Victor had left the house without letting her know. She realizes he went to see Nikki and follows him to the Abbott house. Sharon catches Victor in an emotionally charged encounter with Nikki.

According to Scott Hamner who is previewing the spoiler "to Sharon the vibe between Nikki and Victor is clear as a bell....the love between them is as unbreakable as ever and that is very unsettling for Sharon." She leave without anyone noticing her and goes back to the ranch and gets drunk. Tucker shows up for a meeting with Victor and finds and a drunk Sharon who wants to track down Victor. Tucker refuses to allow Sharon to drive and offers to take her wherever she wants to go. Sharon asks Tucker to take her to the Abbott house where the guests are celebrating Nikki and Jack's wedding. Sharon demands Nikki tell her where Victor is hiding. As Sharon continues to make a spectacle of herself Nikki decides the quickest way to sober up Sharon is to throw water on her so she pushes her into the pool. Tucker caught off guard by Sharon's actions takes her back to the ranch.

Victor's kids begin to wonder where he could be. They discuss that he has done something like this before. Victoria suggests Victor may be intentionally creating havoc to get back at Nikki for marrying Jack.

Later, Jack wakes up on his wedding night and and finds that Nikki is not in bed. She is outside leaving a voice mail for Victor. Nikki feels guilty that after she rejected him, he disappeared.
