Hi Z - welcome back!

Oh boy, your timing is great - I'm in the midst of planning our Halloween night at MNSSHP and the parade looks AWESOME!

After the parade Yani and just stayed where we were at because Hallowishes was to be starting soon, but before it did the lights faded in front of the castle and we unexpectedly ended up watching the Villains show.

Here's som pics I took (again sorry for the crappy quality we were kinda far and my flash doesn't work to well in these situations):

The show was actually pretty good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't planning on catching it but we really didn't have much left to do and we were a little tired at this point.

Anyway after the show all of a sudden we see all the Villains who were just on stage come down for meet and greets. OMG!!!! I jumped up and dragged Yani into the lines to get some pics:

Yani absolutely loves Maleficent so we made her line first

She was great she was very "on" and even acted the part saying move along after the pic.

Frolo (not to be confused with Frodo) aka The Hunchback bad guy who had no line either

We were standing in line to meet the Evil Queen from Snow White when I spotted The Queen of Hearts. I just HAD to get a pic with her and the line was moving slow and she was just walking around letting people take pics with her. At one point she even grabbed some guy and started dancing with him, it was hilarious.

So I made Yani stay in line and I ran over to the Queen of Hearts and asked her majesty to take a pic:

Yani just zoomed in for the pic whislt in the line.

As soon as we finished we took our pic with the Evil Queen

She was very "on" too and when I finished she said "You may leave now." All snooty

We got in line for the last villain out, but they cut them off and we weren't able to get a pic.

We decided to just sit right where we were in front of the castle and wait for Hallowishes to start.

Although that one looked more like Frolo from Hunchback and not a curly-haired hobbit named Frodo.

So after our villain excitement and claiming a spot in front of the castle we got ready for the fireworks. While we were waiting I checked the times guide thingy and saw that there was another villains show and asked Yani if we could stay and see if the villains came down again to catch the one we missed. She agreed and uckily we didn't have to wait long before MK was plunged into darkness again and the haunting began.

I recorded the fireworks:








It was a very fun show and pretty long, at least if felt long. I wish I could've had a better angle to get all the fireworks when they would go off, but it was fun being right in front of the castle.

After the fireworks many people left, but we just stayed where we were and rewatched the Villains show and sure enough as soon as it was over they came back out for meet and greets and we got in line to meet our last villain --Cruella De Vil.
(that I needed a pic of, Capt Hook was out too but I already had a pic w/ him).

She was so "ON". OMG she was great and hilarious. There was a family in front of us and all the little kids about 4 of them were all dressed as Dalmation puppies. Cruella started petting them and asked the mom (who was also dressed as a Dalmation) if she could have them because they had beautiful fur.

Finally it was our turn:

She was fabulous!

With that we started to make our way out and who do I spot?
Well looky here, it's Donald!

We slowly walked down Main Street completely exhausted and ready to just get back to the resort and to sleep.

The next day we would be hitting Epcot for some Food & Wine!

The makeup on Maleficent and the Evil Queen is IMMACULATE!!!! They must've looked AWESOME in person!!!

I've got a teacher friend who would have gone nuts, because she loves the villains. Maleficent is her absolute favorite. She so much wants to take her kids to Disney World for trick-or-treating on Halloween night someday, but I honestly think she would be every bit as thrilled as they would!

Frolo scares me. His face just makes me walk the other way!

Thanks for the good pictures and the video. We were going to video this time, but Jill never wanted to bother to get the camera out. Next time, I guess I'll cut back on the picture-taking and do the video. It adds a lot of enjoyment to the report.

Hi MeMom!! I have to head on over to your TR and get caught up!

My camera doesn't take very good firework pics, it's rare when I get good shots so I just decided to film it. Yes Frolo was kinda scary as was Jafar because they were both super tall.

Yani & I were so happy that the villains came down for meet & greets. It truly was a surprise because I didn't know they would do that. I saw Cinderellas wicked stepsisters and Hook in the park but didn't think there would be more evilness. So much fun! I absolutely loved Halloween Disney style.

Funny you say that, I just finished reading your TR of when you went with KC. And H was the cutest little Alice. I was so jealous of the Alice stuff especially the cards, I so wanted a pic with a card. Oh well, next time.

They were!! I was so happy to have seen them as I'd read on the DIS that they're rare. I would so love to have seen Hades though. You're welcome I'm glad you enjoyed them, I know not everyone can't visit these parties so I try and do my part to share the magic for my fellow DIS friends.

Well since the TFW Supreme Leader gave me permission to continue, that's exactly what I'm doing.


So a little back tracking before we begin our second day of the trip.
When we got back to the room after MNSSHP Yani's BF was awake after having spent the evening without us apparently swimming and napping he was at a loss to do. In case you all forgot he was a last minute stowaway on this trip. So he decided that while we hit Epcot the next day that he could go to that Other Park since he liked it so much when we went in August. So Yani found a deal online for 2 park tix and bought them.

Ok so in the morning we woke up (don't ask me what time it was because I don't even remember, but it wasn't too early) and Yani and I went to the front desk to check out. But Yani had decided that we should stay an extra night. So we asked if we could extend our ressie they said we could and we didn't have to switch rooms. I asked about getting an AP rate, but they said I had to call to get that rate. We called and they told me there wasn't any AP rooms left, ok whatever what about FL resident discount and they didn't have any of those either. Fine. So Yani paid for an extra night at rack rate. We asked about transportation to the Other park and they said there's a MEARS shuttle but you have to call and arrange pick up times. We called MEARS and were told it had to be arranged 24 hrs before. Ok whatever.

We stopped to refill my mug and headed back to the room to grab our stuff and James (Yani's BF). We piled into the car and headed to the Other Park. We told him we'd be leaving when Epcot closed and that there were plenty of places to eat in the park and what not and to keep his cell handy so we could contact him when we picked him up. Really it was almost like dropping off a little kid.

Anyhoo by this time we've completely hit park opening, but whatever we were mainly there to eat. I think we ended up getting to Epcot around 10-1030 am and we just decided to drive there and got excellent parking.

My camera had died of memory the night before so we were carrying around Yani's loverly camera.

We entered the park and with some advice from the very knowledgeable V we headed to Guest Services and bought a Giftcard to use to pay for our Food and Wienage and to rent a locker so Yani could leave her camcorder because she wanted to record Illuminations. The Giftcard was an absolutely fabulous idea V provided and we thanked her profusely throughout the day. Thanks V!

Our first stop was here though:

We decided to get FPs for Soarin' since really it was the only ride we really really wanted to do.

I think it was still early and the WS hadn't opened so we headed to Nemo and Friends and went in search of Nemo.

It was just enough to kill time until WS opened.

We decided to start the Mexico way and now I present my top reasons of the Food and Wine Festival:

We didn't have any....yet. It was a little too early and we hadn't eaten anything in preparation of all the eating we'd be doing. So we took note of it and saved it for later.

I must warn you though, Yani & I aren't that adventurous of eaters so our eating choices were limited unfortunately but we still enjoyed ourselves.

First stop:

Each place had a sign with a map of the country and a little history which was nice.

We picked the Strawberry & Mango Salad with Cilantro

It was good and a nice little breakfast type thing to get our stomachs ready.

I don't think we got anything here, but we will come back to it as Yani wanted to try the Dulce de Leche.

On to Mejico!

We had the Quesadillas

They were so yummy! I vowed to come back for more if we had money left over.

And now my #4 reason for visiting the Food & Wine Festival:
Frozen Margaritas!!!!

It was an ungodly hot October day and this baby hit the spot.
