The Year of a Million Dreams

There may already be a thread on this (I'm a newbie on the boards), but I would love to hear stories (and see pictures) from people who have been awarded one of the million dreams this year. While my dream may not be a huge prize to some, it was fun for us to win, so I'll start by sharing my story...My husband, daughter and I were at the Magic Kingdom Sept 28-Oct. 1 and after meeting the princesses we were awarded a Dream FastPass! We were so excited to win, but unfortunately, we we had to leave early (it was our last day there-just a half day planned because we had to get back home that evening), so we only had time to ride a few of the rides. But, as we were leaving, a young newlywed couple asked us to take their picture in front of the castle. After we took their picture, we gave them 2 of the 3 FastPass Badges (I had to keep one for my scrapbook) to use for the rest of the day. It made us feel a little like dream makers and we hope they enjoyed being first in line for these 7 rides:

We got an incredible upgrade at POLY in July. We paid for a lagoon view standard room and were upgraded to an MK view concierge room.

We were also give YOAMD pin and lanyard sets for our entire party when we stepped off Goofy's Barnstormer one morning.

Finally, when we started to check out of AKL during our second 1/2 of the trip, I found that all of our room charges had been "taken care of". That was about $600 as we had done the sunrise safari and some table service meals during that portion of our stay.

All in all, we were feeling the magic the entire trip.

P.S. I have a feeling that my parents called the hotel from home and "took care of" the bill, but no one has ever told me, so I'm just chalking it up to Pixie Dust!

I think it is great that you were able to pass on the magic like that. Especially if the couple had not experienced the Year of a Million Dreams!!

I'm a winner also. Back in January while in Epcot the Dream Squard awarded us with the lanyard with pins. Being a big pin collector I was so excited about it!!

Last December Dh and I were going to ride BTR first to ride and we were granted lanyards with pins. Well that was all it took to get him to start pin trading. I think it was great because it was his first trip ever to WDW and he is 51. He loved it so much we are going again this year.
