Just got done watching School of Rock...Amanda fell asleep on me...slightly past her bedtime...We had a wonderful day here; pa-pa took the girls to the carnival and they got a all you can ride arm band and rode lots of rides..Too very happy & worn out children...
Getting really excited about our Chicago trip next weekend..hope there aren't any unexpected emergencies..

Hey all.

I have recently been doing battle with some viruses on one of my computers (my favorite one from which to DIS, wouldn't you know?)...I'm in a bad mood. I am chatting with some savvy computer folk (probably the same folks who put this junk online ) ...anyway...

Glad those anniversary fajitas were tasty Deena!Lol! Maybe the little one will develop a taste for steak soon.

Bad weather for you, Nancy? We've had ou r share of bad weather. The marathoners are running tomorrow including a couple of friends...they've been training in 45-degree weather or colder...tomorrow is expected to hit the high-80s! Lots of sweaty runners! (PAM, calm down. )

Oh Bethy...y'all should NOT go to so much trouble for me! A baby is a miracle...a wedding, well, I already feel guilty about how indulgent it's all becoming. These parasites have made me wary of leaking ANY private info out...so I'll discreetly let out wedding info via e-mail and such.

Well...I must go do battle. Ugh...the NERVE of some of these hackers!

Wonderful weekend here! Yesterday went to visit some friends that were camping at a park right down the street from us on the beach. Walked the park and enjoyed the weather. Other than that didn't get anything productive done.

Thanks for missing me! Hopefully, I will be on line soon, at home. Computer is hooked up and waiting for Bellsouth to send the DSL stuff. ( Now if I'm able to figure that out I'll be doing good )

Ok, best get to work before I get caught on the internet.

Morning everyone!

LOL, Liz, I wouldn't call it a new kitchen. We still have the same icky countertop (which was installed wrong since it has sunk about 1/4 inch), the orange/peach backsplash tiles, and the flooring. The appliances were just old and needed to go. The oven didn't have a window or a light! The microwave was okay, but lacked a turntable and wasn't very powerful (not to mention tiny). We would have replaced these years ago, but sadly, our finances wouldn't allow it and Luis kept saying no until recently. Oh and no pics for a long while It is a wreck since we are updating the wiring (that and it really is a boring tiny kitchen). The joys of a house built in 1947!!!

John, I'll have to see if Luis wants to meet up with you this weekend at Polaris. You might enjoy his company more than ours anyway

Kristy, I agree, new appliances can be so nice. Especially when they work tons better than the old ones

So, Laine, when will you be re-doing that kitchen tile? Peach/orange, huh? Sounds lovely With all those nice sparkling white appliances, I'm thinking shiny black tile would look really nice--maybe even black countertops! Lots of chrome, black and white checkerboard floor.....Very modern!! Would that be cool, or what??!!

Speaking of floors....Nancy gets her new stuff installed today! Yippee!!! How's the DH doing? Any improvement in the voice, yet? Hope all is well!

Shep! If you don't get your specs fixed by Friday, don't worry. I have a repair kit with spare screws and will fix 'em right up for ya!! What time do you think you'll be getting into Chicago? (Notice, I am thinking VERY positive--it's going to be a great week and nothing will occur to prevent you from taking this much-needed getaway!!)

Floor guys should be here in 1 1/2 hours.....and it is a 2 day job I hope they do it in parts and get the kitchen done today, so I can use it tonight and tomorrow.

DH is doing very well....thanks for asking Beth.
He feels fine. Getting very bored.....he finished his Legos His computer won't be fixed until at least tomorrow.
His voice is still bad.....it may take awhile for the nerve to settle back down again.

Todd just called...Mandy is still not feeling well. We are praying that she gets better before the weekend or Chicago may not happen.

Beth...we have two repair kits at home and couldn't get any of the screws to work on Todd's glasses.

Been an awful morning here. Nothing has gone right. No even the scale when I weighed in today Now I may have to cancel mine and Mandy's hair appointments for tonight. We have pictures scheduled for tomorrow, may have to cancel that also.

Oh Well...tomorrow is another day!
