Hi all... had to stop at Kaufmann's on the way home to pic up a wrap to match the dress for Dawn's wedding. While there I found a cute little black dress... very plain and looks similar to this one

All black and has a cute little tie off center at the waist. I hope to find a sweater or the like to go on top for the tea and then I'll wear it again alone at the shower. On sale for $40 and the best part is that I am officially down one size... the 14s were swimming on me

Laine is going retro!!! Cute dress!! Had one in yellow when I was in high school. Had daisy trim instead of the horizontal stripe, though. Elaine, it's an excellent buy and you will find soooo many occasions to wear it. Change the sweater or jacket, change your jewelry, change your shoes and it will work for just about anything! Congrats on the loss of a size!!! You rock!!

Lily, hope that nasty forecast doesn't happen! Will keep you in my prayers for your morning commute. And why, pray tell, are you partial to Nancy's monkey??!!!

Miss Sherry!!! My exchange arrived today with your name on the return address!! How cool, since I had YOUR name for this exchange last year!!!

Well, folks, Sherry did one heck of a job on her basket! We have:
-not one, but TWO baskets!! One is a pink plastic Easter bucket with the traditional Easter grass and candy and the other is a woven straw tote, lined with hot pink flowered fabrick and has pink and purple flowers "embroidered" on the front
-a shaped notepad of a flower pot filled with daffodils and a matching daffodil pen
-a wooden wall hanging that says Happy Easter and has 2 chicks and 2 eggs dangling from it
-a windsock showing a pair of bunnies, one pushing the other in a wheelbarrow
-Reese's peanut butter eggs and M&Ms Speck-Tacular eggs
-a plastic egg with a little Winnie the Pooh figurine inside. Pooh is wearing a bunny suit and painting Easter eggs!
-a BIG chocolate covered peanut butter egg
-a Nestle Crunch Medallion with Mickey&Minnie on the wrapper
-a white stuffed bunny with the cutest floppy ears, pink nose and blue ribbon bow tie
-a perpetual calendar-->wooden blocks with the numbers on them, longer blocks with the months and the holder has a sweet yellow daisy painted on it
-The cutest little birdhouse ornament--it's pale blue with a pink roof and pink base. Painted on the front are flowers, greenery and the word "SPRING" arching over the heart-shaped opening
-a package of 16 blue bunny Peeps
-and down in the bottom of the box (which even had a layer of Easter grass!) I found a special "wrapped" gift. The note says it is a Ya Ya tradition and I must pass it on in the next exchange, so I won't spoil the surprise by revealing what it is!! Tooo cute!!! And had both Dave and I giggling like fools!!

Hey all!

Wow, Beth, that got there fast. So glad you like everything. I had a fun time shopping for you.

Just got back from doing some groceries and finding a pair of pants for Julian to wear tomorrow. And guess what? Mother Nature played a cruel April Fools Day joke on us. IT IS SNOWING!!! It was horrible out. Big, fat, wet, mushy flakes and it is sooo slushy and icky out. I can't believe it. Hope DH makes it home OK tonight. He's out in Medina at the rehearsal for the party tomorrow. My FIL comes in from PR tonight...boy won't he be in for a shock.

Tina! YAY! Disneyland! That's so cool.

I am assuming FIL made it home. I didn't receive any calls, but my sister said she seen the vehicles home.

It is just rainy here...no snow. Hope it stays away. Driving in I did look at the positive side. The lawns are looking great Nice and green.

Elaine....love the dress. I need a new dress for Easter. I think I may go looking tomorrow after I finish shopping for the girls' Easter baskets. Unless Shep has different plans for tomorrow.

Good morning everyone! Not sure what got into me last night but I sure didn't feel like really being online so I kind of didn't do much of anything.

Wow Bethie, that is a great basket there!!!! Sherry sure sent some great stuff!!!! And yep, a little retro there in the dress, but it's also a classic line that I still see everywhere. Easy to wear alone or with other stuff. Plus every woman needs a little black dress in their closet

Kristy I am sure you'll get to the size you want to be... for me I am just more tired of being flabby when I didn't used to be so that bugs me more than a size or weight if you know what I mean. I probably will always buy about a 12 or 14 in jeans (I have for about 13 years now, but I thought I looked better in those sizes

Hi all!

I'm pooped. Went to pick up DH last night at my inlaws, and ended up staying to see FIL when he came home from PR. Didn't get home till 1 a.m. Then, I couldn't sleep well because my tummy hurt.

Let 2 of the boys stay home from school today. (Shhhhhh!) We were going to let all of them stay, but Jordan wanted to be in a spelling bee, and Jonathan forgot all the stuff for his big report on Monday.

Our snow is melted, but its rained all morning. ACK! This is getting ridiculous!

Jordan was on the news this morning. His school brought in the most money for Pennies for Patients, so they were featured on the news. He was shown a few times. He was so excited.

Our big party is tonight, and I can't find Jordan's pants anywhere. So....when DH gets back, I have to go find a pair of pants. ARGH!

Amanda, hope you find a dress for Easter. And have fun at Hallmark's. Can you pick up a 25th Anniversary card for me? I forgot to get one!

Elaine, congrats on dropping a size. That is great.

Just checking in before we leave. I am so nervous about the MRI. I really hate them. Just thinking about it gives me an upset stomach. Dr gave me xanax to take 1/2 hour before so I hope it helps. I am just trying to focus on the Disneyland trip. I think Jessica has it all Planned out. She has been reading the book over nad over. You would never know how excited she was

Wish all of my Ya Ya's have a wonderful weekend I will be thinking of you while at Disneyland.
