So it's Sunday, and we're up roughly around 5:30am, so the Monster was off pottering around the room whilst we're going to get ready, which usually consists of her hauling various things across the floor so when I step out of the shower, it's like a scene from Home Alone.

The Wrigglemonster in the flesh.

Today, we were going to be catching up with the parentals. They came out 4 days before us and had been spending time down at the beach. The plan for today was to go for breakfast then do some food shopping at Wal-Mart.

We sent my mum a text to say we could meet them at about 9:30am if they wanted to pick us up, and they agreed. So we walked out the front of the POR lobby and across the car park to wait:

And then we waited, and waited. So I got Mallinda to check her phone. Turned out, that they'd been waiting at the pick up point at POFQ for about half an hour. Doh! Never mind, they were soon along and we were off in search of breakie!

We drove to the first Cracker Barrel we could see:

(I realise this is not a photo of Cracker Barrel, but a photo from the car park again!)

But it was packed with locals, with it being Sunday and all. So we hoped back in Big Blue! This was the name my mum and dad had made up for the jeep, because well 1) it was big, and 2) it was blue! And headed for another Cracker Barrel.

This one was also busy but after 5 minutes, we got the 'Cracker Barrel would like to welcome the Taylor family now' call to let us know the table was ready.

The Monster fair enjoyed her pancakes and scrambled egg...again! Can't remember what the parentals had, but we both had Momma's Pancake Breakfast which are amazing. We both had scrambled egg with sausage patties. Honestly, Crack Barrel has the best breakfasts going. With the breakfast done, we had a look around the shop as we love the Cracker Barrel shops.

We then headed off in search of Wal-Mart. We went to the one just down from the Lake Buena Vista Outlets. We needed to pick up some basics for the room, but we were heading out to MK tonight so it was basically an in-and-out trip to Wal-Mart. I mean I didn't even really look at the CDs or DVDs!!!!!

My mum and dad are staying at a villa, so we decide to head back there with the Monster for a bit, where we have a chill out, swimming in the pool and I decide to wrestle...I mean, climb on, a lilo. I also manage to fix the internet in the villa so go me! :D Mum searches online for the nearest Babies R Us as we need to pick up a new sun shade because the parasol we bought before coming out, broke after 2 days of us being there. The best of it was, it broke on an afternoon in MK so the temperature wasn't exactly cool. Which brings me to something that I was amazed at. The amount of Americans that don't cover up their kids when they're in their strollers. No sun shade, nothing. And I mean it gets hot!

So we get changed and head out along Kissimmee to see where we can pick up a parasol...not as easy as you would think! We first go in to K-Mart where there is hardly any baby stuff at all. They have sun shades for car windows but nothing else, so no joy.

There's a Target along the road so we pop in there. Oh great, a big baby section. We might be able to get one here...WRONG! Again, bloomin' sun shades for cars but nothing else! Do these Floridian parents just lets their kids burn!? My mum explains that it's maybe because it's now Fall here, but still, Fall in Florida is slightly different from here. Ah well, there's still Babies R Us. So we head off in the direction of Babies R Us, when all of a sudden, the heavens open and it starts chucking it. I always like the rain in Florida because it's very much a rain. We drove in and out of it in about 5 minutes.

We reach Babies R Us, where I briskly stroll over the car park to Babies R Us, because if they don't have one here, then we're really screwed. Luckily we pick up a sun shade that's made of a lycra type material. It's not a parasol, but in actual fact, it's a lot better. It basically stretches to fit the size of stroller you have, and it was only $15. Bargain, and we are a lot less stressed now, well I am. Don't think anyone else was, really :D

With the sunshade covered, we decided to head in to Lake Buena Vista Outlets. To be honest, i'm not a huge fan of the place. The parentals like it, but I don't think there's much there for us. We take a stroll round, not really going in many of the shops (The Hard Rock Cafe shop is now closed FYI) but we do go in to Old Navy, where I manage to pick up a shirt that was in the sale (obviously, ;) ). We take a walk further round and Mollie starts to get whingy as she's getting hungry, so we meet up with my mum and dad and head back to the villa. We give Mollie a yoghurt whilst my mum, dad and Mallinda have a Cinnamon roll, whilst I have a mid afternoon beer (hey, I did say I was on holiday :D ). Time was getting on so we decided to head back to POR so we could get changed for going to MK. The good thing about staying on site, especially with a little one, was the fact we could just pop in to the parks for a few hours here and there, and just take it easy.

Also, because I have been quite a few times in the past and Mallinda has been a couple of times, we were taking a more laid back approach to the parks this year, what with having Mollie with us. So, we go back to the room, refilling our cups on the way and after a quick change are out and at 'em again. We walk to the bus stop for MK at POR which is really busy, so decide to get a bus to Epcot then just Monorail it over, which was a lot more relaxed.

We stopped at the beginning of Main Street so I could take a photo of Mollie and Mallinda:

When a nice Ferry Captain offered to take a photo of all three of us:

When setting off into the park, it was heaving.

(Photo of the castle...obviously)

It was an evening EMH and you could barely get moving. I was getting slightly stressed and just want to come out and go to Downtown Disney as were quite hungry. We decided to get something to eat in the parks so headed to Pecos Bill's.

(The Monster awaiting feeding time!)

Mallinda had a Double Bacon Cheeseburger and I had the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. The BBQ Pulled Pork in WDW is amazing. You can get it at Hollywood Studios as well. We decided to just take it easy, have something to eat then head back to POR. It was really quite busy, especially the wait on the rides, so as far as I recall, I don't think we did any rides that night and just headed back to the bus stance and were back at the resort for about the back of 10pm.

(quick shot heading out of MK)

The Monster stayed awake all the time so that was good going for her.

Travelling with a baby is quite different than when we travelled as a couple a couple of years back. Not in a bad way. I wouldn't change it for the world. It's just more laid back and in actual fact, after spending years battering the parks, is a nice change. It's just a slower pace, and we did have to keep reminding each other that we're just here and there's plenty of time but I would say avoid EVENING EMH's. Morning ones seemed to be ok for us.

Then it was time to turn in as we were suitably knacked.

Lovely day, and great photos, I agree about the pulled pork, its great:goodvibes

You managed to cover so much today.

I could never put my finger on it, but the outlets at LBV was my least favourite :confused3

I don't know. I used to like it, but there's just not really anything there anymore but it always seems to be busy.

Oh No! I can't see the photos. I can only see a little square that says photobucket. Managed to see the other days.....need to see that cute little wriggle monster enjoying her trip. :sad2:

Thank goodness for that as I cannot see them either and I thought it was my laptop playing up!

I rebooted my compter a few times as I can't see the photos from other days now. Checked a different person's trip report and that's fine.
At least I know I'm not going daft . :confused3.

One day I will learn how to show a quote properly!!

Great day and totally agree with you about staying onsite being easier, especially with a toddler:thumbsup2

Great trip report - I'm enjoying every episode!

We've never been to Cracker Barrel although we've seen them - maybe we should give them a try next time!

Definately, it's really good home style cooking and really good prices.
