People have been doing that on KT too. I keep thinking, "people can't really be dumb enough to buy those at those prices." I know I have seen them up as much as 150g. I guess as long as people keep buying them, people will keep putting them up. I just can't personally do it, b/c I feel that would be like taking advantage of people stupidity or lack of knowledge about where you can buy the pet. I have no problem with people that do, I just personally wouldn't do it.

I'm up to 131 pets on my main. I just need 19 more before 4.2 comes out.

The way I look on it is that a true new player isn't going to have the money either way to buy a pet for 45g or 100g, so they're not being taken advantage of. Someone who's been around for a while and doesn't have the sense to research where you might get a particular pet cheaper, I have no sympathy for. Also, as BCB mentioned, the buyer may just be rich and lazy. Whenever I see a new pet I jump over to WoWhead to see where it comes from.

Yep. I'm in the "lazy and rich" category - once I was somewhat close to the 50 and 100 pet achieves I just bought a bunch to get to the milestone. I don't mind spending a couple hundred gold when it comes so easily, and I've made a fair bit too on pets that I've gotten multiples of over the years.

So, what's the procedure to remove a GM who doesn't play? About a month ago he slowed down a ton. Now he hasn't been on at all in 9 days, and won't answer a phone call.

I opened a ticket with Blizzard, but got back a response ( canned I am sure ) with no useful information.

NVM..... I found my answer on the warcraft forums.

Well, my GM finally signed on today, and left me a game mail. Said he was too busy for WoW anymore, but will sign on to transfer the guild to me.

I went to my first ZG the other night, and I don't think I ever want to do that place again. I went in with my DH (on his resto shammy), and bil (on his hunter), and I was on my mage. My DH was explaining each boss fight to me and we got to that boss, and my dps was fine. Well we get to the last boss, and we were having trouble. The DK and I weren't getting the chains down fast enough, and we have a couple of whipes. The tank leaves, and then this DK tank comes in. About this time, our power starts to act strange. It wouldn't totally go out, but enough that it was messing up my internet and causing me to have huge lag issues. Well the DK started in on me on my crappy dps, which was about 6K. The only boss fight he has seen me on was the last boss, where I started having the power trouble. On the last attempt, right at the end, power to half the house went. Luckily, I was still able to connect, but it DC'd my hubby. They looted before he got back on and the DK was very rude about my dps, even after I explained about my power issues. I was so mad that I was shaking and kept feeling like I was about to pass out. Which isn't a good thing with my blood pressure issues. I looked up his toon, and lucky me, there was only one toon in the entire game with that name. I got on his server, made a toon, and did enough to get the 30 copper to be able to send mail. I didn't cuss (like I wanted). I just basically said, "let me explain something that is obviously beyond the capacity of your little brain to understand. No power = no ability to dps = low dps for boss fight." Then I deleted the toon.

Nice....I have been so tempted to do that myself..since we are sharing stories...

The other night DH and I were playing our rogues..We got into a pug for Blackrock Mt..alway such a LONG dungeon..Well I see I am pulling ALL kinds of aggro..as is DH..I look at our warrior tank...he is specced FURY! UGH. At this point we cannot remove him, because this grp already had issues before we entered, and had used all our kicks(which is SERIOUS CRAP)..well then we notice he is NEED rolling on ALL rolls...including cloth...upon further inspection, we see he is wearing INT gear too... He would not respond to chat, whispers, yell, anything, and would not drop grp, so we let him die a few times figuring that would work...NO! We managed to ditch him for a bit, and he eventually "left" the dungeon, but not the grp, and we 4 manned it...The DPS druid in bear form, the shammy heals, and me and DH stabbing our way to a win...Longest 2hrs EVER!

Ive done Zandalar instances a few times. The one youre talking about is all about handling the shade adds. If you dont have a good healer and someone who can kite well, its a wipe.

There are a few ways to beat the chain phase, and it is very important that you all cooperate on which strat you use, or you will be over run with adds.

Ive noticed in the new troll instances, you MUST have coordination, or you will wipe.

The adds were the problem. Well that and the dps DK. That DK the entire time we were in ZG, would not get out of the stuff, and expected to be healed through it. Well my DH doesn't work that way as a healer. A few times, fine..b/c you don't know the fight. However, someone that does it over and over, not even for me. Well he would have had to focus on them to keep them up. Plus they kept trying to tank. When they were supposed to deal with the adds, I'm not really sure what if anything they were doing. They just kept saying, "well without walking up to the add and hitting them there is nothing I can do to get aggro on them. There just to spread out to do that." The last attempt, I focused on adds and helping with the chains. Also they kept going afk, so my DH and bil think they were going to get a funny smoke, and they just didn't know how to play a DK.

FINALLY the guild has been transferred to me...It was weird. I had 5 seconds of elation, and then the "terror" set in!

Even though you can't actually have a co GM that is equal to the GM, I am arranging titles and making a new level of officer called "Co - GM". The one I have is a great guy who would probably be a better GM than I will be, but I waited a long time for my shot and I earned it. And if I am not as good as I think I should be, my co GM will happily take the spot as GM.

First up is planning all the new levels and bank stuff. I have someone who want to be our recruiter, and has been doing it for a week on his own and doing it well.

Now I need to find some raiders.

I also booted all the non players after 30 days.... went from 150ish down to 102. Even with 102 characters, I would guess we only have about 25 - 30 people in the guild.

Grats BCB!! Hopefully you will be able to keep your sanity as well. I always say that being a GM is like being a single parent to a bunch of toddlers.
I've been an officer in a few of the guilds we were in, but I liked it much better when my DH was one. That way, I got to know all the stuff normal members didn't know, without any of the stress or responsibility.

I was so happy the other day. I got to the ledge where Jadefang in Deepholm is. Like you BCB, I got a few moments of . Then I saw two hunters waiting for the spider to pop up. Freaking hunter.....go search for spirit beasts.....I need my vanity pet!!!

I hope everyone had as great a day in game as I did. Even though I came out with one unhappy DH. First, after hours of camping, I finally killed Jadefang. My DH wasn't happy since he is a tamable.

Then my DH and I got our belfs to 85. Now I have no idea what to do with her. My youngest DS wants me to delete her. If I hadn't taken away his speaking privilege, he would still be calling me "Horde Scum" or Horde Garbage".

So, now as GM, things have been going really smoothly. I redid ranks, bank stuff, and went through and booted all the inactives. I bet I booted 40+ folks who had not logged in in over a month. The only complaints I have had is from 2 people I booted! ( for inactivity )

Today was fun. I was doing TB dailies. In particular, the ones with the spiders where you collect "Sticky Glands"..... you need 4 drops.... which always means 4 spiders... well, not only did I get the 4 glands, but EACH SPIDER dropped a green item! WooHoo!

On another note, I have a buddy who is playing a pally and he is TRYING to do TB dailies, but he says they are too hard. So last night I had him join me. He's been an 85 for 3 weeks. And yes, he was REALLY struggling in TB. So I examined his gear..... Now understand that this guy buys gold, so money is no object.....

He was wearing 2 pcs of level 272 gear at level 85!

No enchants, no reforging, no gems. The highest level item I remember seeing was 325, so OF COURSE TB is going to be hard!

I love your thinking!! Then they could make a 5th park with WoW stuff. Instead of dueling dragons, it could look like the Horde and Alliance FPs gryphons and windriders (having brain fart).
