The World of Mickey - Bob Varley & Matt Heffernan

This absolutely made my week. :goodvibes Thank you team for making this happen and thank you Dianer for sharing Bawb with all of us.

Did anyone else try the Disneyinfo.com just to see what came up?

I got a Cannot display web page message.

Okay, so I just finished it. Thanks so much for sharing. That was AWESOME!!!! Classic Bawb! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Disneyinfo.com was our old web address.
I don't know when this exact show was taped but I was a guest on this program right after our first Disney cruise, that would have been back in 1999.
edit- The show must have been late 98 or early 99, Bawb says Mr. Toad's wild ride closed that past summer, that ride closed in 98

Very cool. This is AWESOME.

Is it me or does Bawb remind anyone of Cliff Claven? I mean that in a good way! ;)

This had to have been in 1998, Bob mentioned he was still working, & he was out on comp, I think fall of that year.
Notice, he was already talking about props. At least you could see them on this show. This is the only show he did that he was in front of the cameras, the other ones he produced & was behind the cameras.
I have been trying to find more tapes these shows. Am going up north this weekend & will see if the cable access studio has any more in their archives.
A big thanks to Will for getting this up!

I very much enjoyed seeing Bob in his earlier days (1999? since they were talking of the Millennium celebration coming up). He must have been so happy moving close to WDW and continuing his career on the DIS podcast!

We miss you Bob! :sad1:

If Pete can put some of the "World Of Mickey" episodes on DVD,he can add it as a prize for the Prizematron?

I don't think I have ever so meant the phrase "I don't know whether to laugh or cry" so much.

Bob seemed too playful for the other guy....who took his Disney Cable Access show pretty seriously. I also liked how and a certain point the callers would answer one question correct and then Bob ad Matt would say, "You've answered 2 questions correctly, you qualify for the drawring."

Absolutely awesome! This truly encapsulates the true podcast spirit, people who are passionate about something sharing that with others. I am thrilled to know that Bob had the ability to continue this passion on through the DIS Unplugged cast!

Thank you so much for making this available!

Thanks to all (the Varley family and the DisUnplugged crew) who shared this video with us.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

You're not alone in missing Bob. From just listening to four months of podcasts with him, I felt that he became one of my closest friends. Watching the video is giving me the warm fuzzys. :goodvibes

Dian-er
thank you so much for letting these be released.
I know we laugh and make comments about Bawbs little quirks, but it is a loving laugh.
Although I never met him, his voice coming through a speaker, I sincerely miss him, as if he were my friend.
May his memory live on through those who knew him, and those that only wish they had the chance to meet him.
This video is classic Bob.
