The World, CSR 9/21-9/28/8, The Unofficial Dream & An Offical Dream Updated 10/26

I'm speechless this was such a magical experience for you guys!! That place was HUGE! I'm sure at this point you are wishing your stay was for 2 weeks instead of what it was! Heck I'm sure your wishing at this point that your stay was indefinite!! Eager to hear more.

Diane :)

WOW!!!! Congrats on getting such an awesome upgrade! I'm jealous! ;) Can't wait to hear more!

Thank you, I still can't get over it!

Holy Mackeral!!! Your suite looks bigger than my house! What an awesome upgrade.

Your pictures are great - I can't wait to read - and see - more!

Thanks, more to come.

Yes, in fact we wish we were still there!

Very awesome upgrade! Congrats :thumbsup2

OMG, I know, we were so lucky!

That has got to be the best upgrade I have ever seen at a Disney resort!

Congrats! I'm glad it went to three Disney fans!!

So, after dropping off our luggage etc. and running around the suite soaking it all in like two school kids, we had to get ready for our 11:30 ADR at The Brown Derby. We almost canceled because we really wanted to sit around the suite but there was no way I was going to miss the Cobb Salad. We headed over to DHS around 11:00am, checked in and requested a booth. We were the first party to be called and we were given a booth! :thumbsup2

We were not on the dining plan and this was our only sit down meal. Our waitress's name was Brooke and she was great. We had both ordered the steamed Mussels to share $10. I had the Cobb Salad $14 and DBF had the Hijiki Crusted Ahi Tuna Cobb $19 and a couple of beers. Of course we enjoyed the warm bread, too much in fact. We both loved our meals and the Mussels definitely seamed to be a larger portion than the last time, the Mussels are awesome. I'm so sorry I didn't take any pictures for all you foodies out there, we were still in shock over our suite. I believe with our tip included we spent $65.00 for lunch. I absolutely love The Brown Derby, I encourage anyone who has never been there to at least try it once.

After lunch we took our time leaving the park and enjoyed the scenery.

A few picks of DHS

I love streetmosphere, I could watch them for hours, my favorite is the police officer who gives unsuspecting people in wheelchairs and scooters tickets for ridiculous reasons.

My Favorite Store

My favorite Ride (at DHS)

We were going to come back to DHS that night for EMH, so we thought this would be a great time to head back to our room!

I give you a lot of credit for leaving the room. That's a hard one to give up.

Awesome, I know. We felt like we had won the Disney jackpot!

Thank you, believe me I would have stayed in the room a lot more if my father didn't join us!

So, after leaving DHS wen went back to CSR, refilled our mugs, walked around our new surroundings and took some pictures. We were located in Casitas One which is right next to El Centro, a plus when refilling mugs.

We didn't have the best weather the first couple of days but who cares we were at Disney and had a suite to seek refuge in!

Please excuse the maid cart, I didn't know it was there when I took the picture!

We had five rooms so we had five windows!

After we took some pictures, we hung out, had a few Bloody Mary's and took a nap. We were going back to DHS for EMH. Since my father would not have time to hit all the attractions during his visit, we did a few things we wouldn't be able to do later. Crowds were not bad at all, we did not see Fantasmic and tried to use this to our advantage. We went to Toy Story Mania first hoping we would be able to ride it during EMH. There was no way, it was a mad house, I think everyone in the park was standing in line. There were no fast passes left and we didn't want to stand in that line! So we decied to forgo TSM until later in the week. Oh, I was using a new camera and trying to get used to all the settings. Some of the pictures reflect that effort, I tried my best.

The Muppet's 3-D

We then went to Pizza Planet to try and get something to eat but it was closed. So, we played some video games and tried to win a prize, no luck here.

Next was Star Tours

I love Star Wars so this was a must see on my list.

The Great Movie Ride

We then went to Sunset Blvd. and got something to eat. We were pretty tired after a long day of switching rooms and all the excitement. I decided this evening was a perfect time to try the jacuzzi in the room, how nice and ralxing! We then hit the hay so we could be ready for another full day in Disney!!

Side Note: We used Disney transportation this evening. We departed from El Centro, when the bus picked us up we didn't go to any other bus stops, the bus went directly to DHS. The bus stop at DHS was right up front near the entrance, bonus! When we left for the eveing we only waited around 10min for a bus to arrive, today Disney transportaion gets a thumbs up!

I was just getting over the size of your suite and then to see those views!!! Wow what a fantastic upgrade!!!!

I too am taking a new camera to Disney and am scared at using it!! Your pictures came out great though - I hope I have as good of luck.

What a great room upgrade. That place was huge. Did the wet bar come stocked with anything?

Good luck using the new camera, try to get used to it before you go!

There were six bottles of Dasani water, we were affraid to drink it because we thought we may get charged for it but we weren't. I am sure am glad we brought alcohol and mixers.

Day Three

Today we slept in, we decided to just hang around the resort for the day. We went to the Dig Site to go swimming and hit the hot tub. We ate at Siestas and had my favorite, the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, I always get extra Buffalo sauce for my steak fries. I love the option of the counter service food at the pool, you don't have to walk over to the Pepper Market. We also had a few frozen Daiquiris at Siestas (Francisco is still there!), I love mixing Strawberry, Pina Colada and Mango mmmmmm! I walked around and took some pictures.

After we went to the pool for the day we took a nap (gotta love those naps) and walked over to El Centro and had a drink at the Laguna Bar. We sat at a table on the lake and soaked in the atmosphere. I never took any pictures, I may not have had my camera with me. There were a lot of conventioners checking in and there were a ton of people hanging around outside waiting for their rooms to be ready. We loved the gentleman playing steel drums, he was awesome. We were going to go to Epcot for a few hours so we headed back to the room to get our stuff.

Wow, awesome room! How did you get those awesome pics inside HM and Pirates? You weren't 'that person' using flash photography, were you?!

We arrived at Epcot around 6:00, again the crowds were not bad at all. We decided to do Spaceship Earth (The Ball) first. We were able to do the following in about two and a half hours.
Spaceship Earth
Mission Space

Test Track (Fast Pass)
Soarin
Finding Nemo and Friends

We did not stay for Illuminations as we were going to see it with my Dad. So, after Epcot we headed over to DTD. We ate dinner at Earl of Sandwich, one of our favorites, it's cheap and it's good. I had the roast beef and DBF had the Hawaiian, we also got a Ceasar Wrap to take back to the room for our midnight snack. Then we went to Goofy's Candy Company, we had never been before and after reading many trip reports with pictures of the sweat awesomeness, this was a must do this trip.

I got the pretzel rods dipped in chocolate, coverd in Resses Peanut Butter Cups, and topped with white chocolate.

Then we headed over to The World of Disney. I wanted to look for the light up pumpkin necklaces I had seen people wearing in the parks, they didn't have it.

After DTD, it was back to the room. We had a few cocktails and went to the hot tub, we thought it may be crowded because of all the convention people who had checked in that day but it wasn't crowded at all. We came back to the room and ate our snacks.

OMG, I was hooked, we were definitely going back to Goofy's Candy Co.!

LOL, I don't think so. My new camera had so many settings I kept trying them out to see what happened. We were actually stuck in line at HM which enabled me to take the pictures.

Yum!! We'll definitely have to head to Goofy's Candy company when we are there (in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!! -oops sorry - I just get so excited....)

Anyway - I just showed my 7 year old the picture of the pretzels you had and he asked if he could go and live with you! That boy loves chocolate covered pretzels!
