The words, "Baby Mama," and "Baby Daddy," what do they mean to you?

In my mind it does have somewhat of a negative connotation. Two of my sisters have children with those they aren't in a relationship with anymore and they just refer to the other parent as (nieces name)'s Dad. In one case that still brings a negative connotation to mind but that is just because I don't like him (and honestly the trashy baby-daddy term would fit)

The one I hate is sugar-momma my husband refers to me like this on occasion. I hate it for several reasons. From the fact that it sounds trashy and negative to me to simply not liking that he is talking about money with people that in some cases I rather not have know about our finances (although that last one is a bit silly since just our job titles/locations are enough to let most here assume I make much more then him)

I work with a lower income population at work and hear the term "Baby Daddy" all the time. It is usually referred to the man who got the woman pregnant, but isn't really involved in the child's life. I hear this a lot when I have to fill out state childcare paperwork.

:confused3
I find the ones that use it are using it in a way to put the biological parent down. In actuality, it is a poor reflection of them and tells me they are not very discriminating in their choice of who they have sex with and are too lazy to take precautions!

Wow really, well I'll totally admit, I'm sliding into my 60's. everyone I've known has not been the fine upstanding people that are on the dis.
Does that make me lazy? possibly. yes, I have dated some gigantic losers a time or two. When I dated them they didn't seem like losers.

Not sure about the "discriminating" part. :confused3 I did managed to date and marry a wonderful soul, who gave me wonderful sons. So did my taste get better and erase the mistakes I made before? or does it mean I still was too lazy to take precautions and just got lucky?

How does that work. If someone marries some one and he/she turns out to be a hot mess, was that person lazy and non discriminating? If I get divorce is that a poor reflection on me?

I simply stated my opinion of these "terms of endearment" for the baby's biological parent. They are negative in my 60+ mind. When you have multiple children with different "baby daddies" , then "yes" you need to be a little more discriminating.::yes::

If you want to take this to a more personal level, you will have to find someone else to fight with. I was simply stating my opinion on a popular term.
