Ok Guys things seem to have slowed down alot so we need a bit of motivation ;)

Any suggestions - we have been going a few weeks now and we maybe need something new to focus on so if anyone wants to give us some exercise tips or some summer recipes that would be great :goodvibes

The loss for this week is 5lbs

making our loss so far 153.5lbs

which is a massive achievement - but we dont want it coming back!!

I really have to get refocused this week as it is only 6 weeks until my WDW holiday - I sts this week but really need to get rid of 6lbs in 6 weeks :faint:

Good Luck Guys :goodvibes

Hi Jackie.

May i be so bold as to suggest as an idea to lose weight that any one with a Wii console invest in the game Wii fit.

I like to think i am reasonably fit but i got a fair sweat up on this game on my daughters console.

Another advantage is it is all done at home .

Good luck to you all in your efforts to lose weight.

Paul.

I would love to be able to get my hands on one but they are sold out everywhere at the mo :goodvibes

Fun way of exercising though :thumbsup2

I got one last week and am hooked. I would NEVER go to a yoga class but found the trainer really helped me out. Same with running. I could am not ready to do it outside but at home I can. I can't seem to stop the step aerobic and boxing.
It actually feels good to get the body test. I thought I would dread it but is followed by positive fun.
I got it the day it came out by luck.

I am recommitting to the challenge and me (or mii) will report results.

I forgot to report for last week. Lost only 1 lb. but a loss is a loss. So I am up to 14.4 lbs.

The loss for this week is 5lbs

Ummm... if I check in this week, we will be in negative numbers for last week, since I skipped weighing in. ;) Or do you only count the losses?

My pity party is over and I'm back on track and looking forward to a good weigh in next Monday.

BTW, that Wii video cracks me up!

Thinkin this is a women thing. I will have to count it though. So I am of no help this week. I will do better next week. I cant let my podcastlosers down.

Loved the Wii Fit thing (but I am still gonna get one - eventually) In the meantime I will have to survive by ripping out a garden & rebuilding it.

I have no change again this week (since I don't usually garden hopefully that will shock my system cuz my muscles sure do feel it)

As DD explores healthy eating we have had lots of fruit and salads. None of which make up for the ice cream cake of 2 weeks ago. BUT I will share a favourite "recipes" here.

I love fruit. I love the Minnie bars - frozen strawberry bars - at WDW. I prefer to call such things "frozen fruit on a stick"

My homemade version:
taken fruit & puree it in the blender. Cut with juice to make thinner as needed. Pour into popsicle molds & freeze.

One of my favourites is one banana and some strawberrries. I usually use apple juice and water to thin as needed. IF you make more than you can fit in to the popsicle molds you have, make them into ice cubes. I have the Tupperware molds that have individual lids. I take these to work and put them in the freezer there to enjoy mid afternoon.

I think this year I will wait for the peaches to come into season & do a peach/orange version...

We need to get on track here people - where is everyone!!!!!! I know you are out there....:cheer2:

My DW and I are getting our health back on track as well. We started eating right and exercising the 2nd week of April and I've lost 26lbs. and my DW has lost 19lbs.

C'mon...you can do it!! :thumbsup2

It's weigh in day for me!! (insert dramatic music)

Will is be good?
Will it be bad?
Only the scale knows. (insert scary music)

I lost 3 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've decided that I have to weigh myself every morning to stay on track. If I just weigh in once a week then in my head I give myself a 4 day pass to be bad and leave the serious dieting for the last 3 days. And a girl can't live on only chicken, weight watchers fudge bars, and fat free cool whip for 3 days.

I'm up a 1/2 lb this week. So now I am still 3 lbs away from my elusive 50 lb goal. I am getting so discouraged as I was really hoping to be down that 50 plus another 10 (mosting from toning up a bit) for our August trip to WDW. I'm very happy to have done so well -- but I really want to reach my goal!!!

You can do it! You've got more than 2 months to lose 13lbs...very doable for almost anyone!:thumbsup2

Just tell yourself that you can't post on the boards until you've exercised for at least 30 minutes that day! :scared1:

You can and you will reach that goal - look at how much you have done already!!!! :cheer2: That was a lot of work wasn't it? Everyone knows that the last 5 or 3 in this case are never as quick as the first. Change something. One thing. Even if it isn't exercise or food related. Change your perspective in one area. I wore a square and a round earring the other day to work. (I have been stressed at work lately) I felt great all day. It bothered only one person & I let her know it was for me not her. She has known me long enough to realize I will just do things like that to shake up my perspective. :tilt:

Thank you DisneyFreak/GoofyMom (and everyone else that's been so supportive)! I think my problem is that my body has just gotten "used" to the exercise I'm doing. I've been walking 5mi per day for a pretty long time now and something at a quicker pace will probably be more of a benefit as far as weight loss. Jogging is too hard on my joints... but I'm sure I can find something that is do-able. :thumbsup2

I can sympathize with the "gentle on the joints" exercise. That is my whole weight problem - arthritis since childhood. If I let my weight get to a certain point walking won't even happen.

I don't know if you are treadmill/outside or a combination. I usually do treadmill & find one way to change it up is to add arms - even if it is without weights I will put in some arm or hand exercises. If you can, do a funky walk for a portion of it - as if you are strutting to music, (use a slow pace!) and that will wake up different muscles. If you are outside, change your route.

I can always recomend belly dance as no-impact exercise (seriously!)- and it definitely wakes up muscles you never knew you had! Swimming is also good. If you can do an adult swim at a pool & just do some laps. When you go back to your usual walk, it will be different.

Hey everyone! I lost 3.7 this week. Thank goodness, after I gained .5 last week. :P I can't believe I lost this week with all of my socializing/eating out. Yay. :)
