The Wizarding World of Harry Porter. The best thing to happen to WDW

The 3 pm thing was given to onsite guests when they checked in as a recommendation on how to plan their day after they'd done their early entrance. Not sure what is so terrible about that.

Ah okay, makes more sense. I also don't really see how awful that is or why people are saying "pay for a full day but only use it for a half day", Harry is a small part of what you are paying for, and you can easily get half of it done with your early hour (or at least I did a few weeks ago), not to mention hotel guests can use their express pass on two of the three rides. But I suppose Universal can't please everyone

Oops, I see others already posted that the pub still has beer and wine.

I read stuff and watch the news reports and just laugh. They are blowing so many things about WWoHP out of all proportion just to create news.

TMs were in front of the ticket booths last week passing out flyers to all guests (on or off site) suggesting how to plan your day.

Still sounds like a good idea. Universal is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

And to be clear - they're advising people not to try for WWoHP until after 3, not the entire park?

I don't see where that would be a knock against Universal. They're advising that because the park is full, not that there's something bad going on before 3.

It's like that old Yogi Berra saying, "No one goes there anymore, because it's too crowded." :rotfl:

They are advising to visit WWoHP after 3 and suggesting that they visit other areas of the park before then. The other areas of the park are not crowded.

It's not a bad thing that they are giving suggestions....

Yep. Weren't some of those same people griping that Uni had no plan for crowd control??

Just damn.

That makes total sense to me. I'd rather go to the other lands in the park than wait on a HP for several hours (as much as I love HP!).

well here in Ohio when Cedar point gets a new ride the lines are always outragous but its nothing too overwhelming that it gets out of control. When I go to Universal studios I'm expecting the same. A lot of people but nothing to outrageous

We love Disney, but with older teens, it's just not as exciting as Universal. WWoHP certainly raises that bar even further.

While there's something in each of the Disney parks that we enjoy as a family, there just isn't enough for the teen set. Perhaps the excitement surrounding WWoHP will encourage them to look at the teen group, or maybe they'll just spruce up what they have for the younger set. Who knows?

I do know this, though. I'm getting all kinds of offers for Disney resorts that I've never received in the past.

Disney main focus has always been family fun rides for all ages. If they started to focus on stuff more for teens than they will be doing the opposite of what Walt Disney wanted that place to be. I will say that when I went to disney about 3 years ago I had a blast and I was 20 years old at the time!
