Last Sea Day! Now this would turn out to be a “Dark and Stormy Night!”

DD wanted to spend the day with me so I figured ok, we would catch a movie! Unfortunately, or fortunately, there was an hour before the movie was to begin! I sent her to the club and I ventured to the Secret 7 Deck! I figured hey, I’m only gonna be out for half an hour! I won’t waste time to get my sunscreen! Bad move on my part! I turned out as red as the lobster tails at dinner!LOL Good thing we were headed for a movie! Wrong! DD ditched me but once again! What to do, what to do! I did not want to go see “Brother Bear” so it was off for a seafood lunch! Did I mention that DD developed a seafood allergy just prior to last year’s cruise! So I try not to eat it in front of her knowing just how much she used to enjoy it! Did not want to over indulge. For Tonight it was Palo!

After a quick lunch, went to catch “Dreams”. I knew I would not have time to watch it tonight! Had a date with a delicious Chocolate Soufflé!

I knew DD would not be joining us for dinner yet once again! Semi-Formal Night! Hey, I got her dressed up for one dinner! She’s a jeans and sweatshirt kind of gal! Tomboy at heart! Did I mention that I got some great pics of us! I spent quite a bit of money but what memories, or as she says, nightmares!

I slowly got myself dressed and decided to wear one of the outfits that I could have worn for formal night! Hey I brought it, I was gonna wear it! Obviously, one woman felt it was too much! When I walked past her she commented, out loud, which I’m not sure she did not mean to, “Hey I thought it was Semi-Formal Night!?!” That comment made me feel good! Plus this dress had a lot of give and I was gonna need it for tonight!

Dinner was Lobster Tails. Well, you place a lobster anything in front of me I’ll eat it! So I figured, if I just eat the Lobster Tail, then I could eat DD’s Lobster Tail, and if I walked around after dinner, I could probably fit a full meal in at Palo too! It sounded good at the time!

And it almost worked! My reservation was for nine. Still too much lobster in me and maybe should not have had the Chocolate Lava Cake but hey, you only live once! I ordered a light appetizer, a seafood pasta dish and of course, the Chocolate Soufflé! As it turned out, I did not end up dining alone tonight. Tinkerbellmom and Joy ended up at the next table! We had a “Hen” Party in the making! At one point we were doing so much talking that I did not finish my Chocolate Soufflé. Well they were not going to have any part of it! My server, remember I’m lousy with names, never forget a face but names, started to spoon feed me! Arlene took a picture of this! Hopeful nobody will be able to help her post it! It will be a night that I will not forget for a very long time! We closed down the place and they practically had to kick us outta there!

After all this great food had to get changed! Back to the cabin to put on my jeans and do a couple of walking laps around the deck! But before this, I had to check out the Gala Dessert Buffet! WOW! A Sweet tooth’s dream! I just could not resist the chocolate cake! I had mine to go so that I could enjoy in the morning! There was no way I was gonna fit any more food in my stomach! Plus I had promised friends, Hi Disneykins, that I would check it out! Boy you guys better go next time! It’s a “Do Not Miss” kind of thing!

As it turned out, the night was beautiful, a little rocky but manageable! Plus I made DD take a Bonine in the afternoon just in case and as a matter of fact so did I! Did not want to end up losing it at Palo!

So off to bed after a nice walk! Once again, reminding DD that it’s early for our Fishing on Castaway Cay!

Just read them all and it sounds like you both had a great time. I always wondered how much there was for the kids to do and by the sound of it your DD was very busy. The food sounds fabulous. Might have to give this cruise thing a try.

Hi Scratch!
Enjoyed reading your trip reports - even though I was right there! It's always interesting to hear how other people do a cruise. I know you had a great time - it was written all over your face whenever I saw you. Those braids were kickin', girl!

Great trip reports! Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Thanks for sharing ... especially all of the food descriptions! My mouth is watering :)

Scratch,

I really enjoyed reading all of your trip reports!! Sure sounds like you and DD had a fabulous time!! I've been looking into booking a cruise next year and the more I read the more it sounds perfect!! I will have to do some serious dieting before though....and after too I guess!!;)

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Scratch,

I have TinkerBellMom's pictures. I can email them to you if you'd like or I could always figure out how to upload them to the Disboard:p Any votes for uploading them? The one of you being spoonfed is great! Thanks for the company and the listening ear.

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this report. Each day as I log on, I check to see if the report from CC day has been posted.
