Early to Rise for Everybody!

The one downfall with a cruise is that Canadians must get up early on Saturday for Immigration! On the Seven Day everybody has to get up for Immigration on Wednesday! If there is one thing that I learned on the Wonder last year, it was get to Immigration before the time! It’s better to wait for them to set up instead of waiting in a very long line up after they have set up! Everything went smoothly and even had time to grab a quick bite before heading for our next adventure!

I had booked us on the Buck Island Sail and Snorkel! Boy I am so glad I did! It’s with only six people and you get personalized attention! The trip over was a little too much for DD but once we got to Buck Island, things changed! We thoroughly enjoyed swimming around the reefs and seeing all the fish and fauna! DD really got excited when she spotted the sea turtle and watched it as it surfaced near her to get some air! I just wished we did not have to leave! On the way back, Captain Karl let DD drive the boat back to shore! This was another highlight! Boy was this trip sure making up for last year’s disaster! Note to self: Don’t let DD drive your car! I was sitting on the back of the boat enjoying my libation and the great sunshine when all of a sudden DD did something and I almost fell off the back! It’s a good thing I only just started my libation!LOL

When we returned to the ship, dropped off our stuff and did a little sightseeing! The island was very busy due to the fact that there were 8 ships in port that day! Did not want to chance going into town and being late for the ship. As it turns out we were late leaving anyway. Rumour had it that some parents missed the ship in St. Maarten and we had to wait until they arrived in St. Thomas! I guess they forgot to change their watches!

Tonight was Dinner at Palo! My long two-year wait was finally coming to an end! That famous Chocolate Soufflé was gonna be mine! As Ken kept saying, Palo is Culinary Heaven! And boy was he right! I started with an eggplant appetizer. Ordered the Rack of Lamb! This was going to be the true test! It is very rare that I experience a Rack of Lamb done to perfection! And this was one of those rare occasions! The lamb was done rare and melts in your mouth! How could the chef outdo himself! Well it happened, the Chocolate Soufflé! Yes folks, it’s better than what they say here on the boards! BTW, Thanks again Cindy and Ken! We rolled out there! They were kind enough to prepare an extra Soufflé for DD, since that’s all she’s heard about and me feeling guilty, well you all know the drill!

Tonight was the night for Pin Trading with the Officers! DD had her trades done within minutes! Oh Well! So much for mingling! She took off for the club again!

I tried to stay up late but boy after two early mornings! A great dinner at Palo, I called it another night! I ended up sleeping on the couch ‘cause I did not know when DD would be calling it a night! Did not want her to really wake me up! (of course you all know that I did not fall asleep until she came back!) I was glad that she was having fun and that hopeful not creating too much noise!

Another sea day to enjoy!
