Thanks for the photos. Would love a trip report.

Question: All my 7 DD wants is a bunk bed room. Did you pay for one? Requests one?

Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like it was very hot and humid. When we at the lodge last in September all of our pictures came out the same.

Yes we paid for a CY Bunkbed room, however the rest of my family did not and they were all moved without a charge :) to the rooms next to us. One had a woodsview bunkroom, one had a woodsview room and one had a standard reserved. The folks at the hotel were very gracious in moving everyone to the CY rooms. We had rooms 1149,1151,1153 and 1155.1153 was my bunkbed room and it connected to my dad in 1155.This is an accessible room with a king bed. Rooms 1149 and 1151 also connect. 1149 was a bunkbed and 1151 was an accessible room with a king.

I am confused with the numbers you just posted. I want a n accessable king and would love to have a bunk next door. Is that what you had? Please check your numbers and post once again. i do not know if I am reading it wrong. Apparently your Dad was not in the handicapped room and someone else was? thanks so much for your time.

I would be interested in knowing if there is the possibility of getting a BB room with a King bed

Cburek, thanks for the pics! I can't wait to hear more about your trip! I'm glad you had a great time.

Not in the same room. You could possibly get a bunkbed room connecting to to King Room. Rooms at the Lodge either have 1 king, 2 queens, or 1 queen and bunks.

I was wondering if anyone had a weekely calendar of events they can post. Something that lists daily kids activities and the like.

I am so glad I found this thread before our 1st trip to the lodge!

My DH, DS (2) and I will be headed to a studio at the villas WL in Sept. We originally booked the studio for ease -- esp. with the kitchen. But, recently we have been thinking of going club level. DH has been stressed at work, and I wonder if the club level will give that extra feel of relaxation?

Because our trip is in Sept, we have dining booked already. Can you give me your experiences at CL and maybe offer a comparison of the CL rooms versus the studio?

Also, it looks like the studios may be closer to the bus stop. Are lodge rooms a long walk? Thanks!

I have never stayed in the time share building ( the Villas), but you are correct that it is closer to the busses but the Lodge itself is not far away at all. I am disabled and have had no problem getting to the busses from the Main building... Perhaps someone can discuss the conscierge with you.

Part of the Villas is closer to the bus stop, but depending on where your room is, you could be closer at the Lodge. It is a fairly small resort, so even if you are in the farthest room from the bus stop, you'd still be less than 5 min away. The Lodge is closer to the boat docks, so it's really 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. I'd go by the room type you want and not worry so much on getting to the bus stop/boat dock. I can't help you with CL, as I've never stayed there, but would love to...sure seems more relaxing to me! Whatever you do, you are sure to have a wonderful time...WL is a beautiful resort!:thumbsup2

Hey Lou-Ann. I am still on vacation in my brain. Disney has that effect :)
There were a total of 4 rooms that my family had reserved. I had room 1153 which was a bunkbed room and it connected to my dads room which was 1155.This was an accessible room with a king bed.
Same setup for the other rooms that my sis and brother had. 1149 was the bunkbed room and 1151 was the king accessible room. Hope that helps :)
Still working on the trip info. Will post soon

Rebooked our annual Mother/Daughter trip at the WL this afternoon. I just couldnt spend a WDW vacation and not stay there. They only thing they had available was a woods view. What is a woods view? I have stayed in a Courtyard, Courtyard CL and in the Honeymoon Suite overlooking the Villas. Guess it doesn't matter...cause we will be at our favorite resort!! Yeah!!!:banana:

Going for a family trip in September! Staying at the Wilderness Lodge! I'm so excited it'll be my first time staying Delux! We stayed one night at AKL so that doesn't count! ;)

We are all so excited and can't wait!!!!

We're booked for woodsview too...they are on the MK side of the building...some are apparently not so great, but there are other woodsview rooms that you can see the fireworks from. That's what I'm hoping for!:thumbsup2

Awesome! Have fun!:cool1:

Well, we bit the bullet and upgraded to club level for Sept! :woohoo: Can someone help me with a few questions:

1. Did the closed off balcony on the 7th floor bug you? We're considering requesting a room with a "regular" balcony.
2. Are the woods view rooms that are closer to the lodge also those that have potential of being parking lot views?
3. How much noise comes in from the courtyard/pool?
4. Will we love CL and the WL?

Thanks!

We have ghad a closed balcony for all but one trip. It never bothered us at all...

On the 7th floor, you would be so high that the parking lot would not be your immediate view but rather the trees and the fireworks, I woudl think.

I would be thrilled with any room there as it is such a gorgeous place. if you will be CL how can it be bad....?

Relax and go have fun....

How long is the boat ride to MK?
Can you boat directly to CR or just to MK?
We have a Chef Mickey ressie on the first night and trying to figure out the best way to get there or should we just drive our own vehicle?

I'm sure we will! :rotfl: We have stayed at the VWL before but never the lodge itself, so we're excited to see if it really feels any different. And the upgrade to CL is a surprise for DH; he won't find out until we go to check in!

The boat ride to the MK is about 10 minutes.

There is a boat directly to the Contemporary so that would be your best bet to get to Chef Mickey's. (Actually it loops between Ft Wilderness, The Contemporary, and WL)

Page one of this thread has all the info you need regarding which boat goes where.

Goid luck! :)
