MK view is the room I had. That's the one with Wishes at night and working dock and trees during the day. I think the other category is a view of the water, which is a better "view" during the day but no Wishes at night. When you "speak" to IPO tell them which you want: a nice water view or a MK wishes view. By the way, you can't so MK from the room we had, there were too many trees in the way, so I don't even know why they call it a MK view:confused3. You can get a glimpse of the ferry boats going there and back, but that's about it. Either room view, I'm sure you'll love it and have a great time! By the way, if you happen to be on the shorter side ,be careful climbing in and out of the jacuzzi! Even to use it as a shower, you still have to climb over this big ledge. It was interesting every time I had to get in it...almost comical.

Thanks for the warning about the tub. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself! I am 5'8" with long legs so I should be ok. :thumbsup2 I am torn with what room to request. Actually, I'm not really sure I even want to stay at WL. :guilty: I live in Canada. We have LOTS of pine trees. :lmao: To heck with the pine trees... I want to see lots of palm trees!!!!

It is funny you said that - I am in MN and felt the exact same way for our first stay! I told my DH that when I go to Florida I want tropical with palm trees not pine and woodsy. :rotfl: We fell in LOVE with the Lodge :lovestruc It is truly a wonderful resort hotel, very homey with nice amenities, great CM's and so close to MK! I think you'll love it too :goodvibes No palm trees but it does have a white sand beach...

We always ask for north wing upper floor (woods view category) and can see the MK fireworks at night. Not much of a view during the day (although not bad) but we typically aren't in our room during the day anyway. The lake would be beautiful too though... Hmmmm, good luck with your decision - you really can't go wrong there. Have a wonderful trip!

...then the WL is NOT the place for YOU....not one single palm tree on site...:)

....actually, we had a Court View, and woke up to the pool's waterfalls every morning - it was lovely, and to our left, when standing on the balcony, we could watch the ELP avery night...

:cheer2:

Woo Hoo - I just reserved a WL CL room for next March. I am so excited!!

I'm from Canada and I don't care that there are more pine trees than palm trees - it is still fantastic to stay at the Lodge. I love the way the moss hangs off the trees, we do not see that in Canada!

Oh my gosh it is going to take forever for the next 10 months to pass.

I live in the midwest and also see plenty of pine trees.... however I LOVE the WL - favorite resort on property for many reasons :lovestruc

However, if you want the Florida feeling I'd pick a different resort ;)

Going to WL in late June.:cool1: Very interested in asking for a room with a patio on first floor instead of a balcony. Please add your thoughts good or bad?

I do not feel there is a bad room in the Lodge. Who spends much time in their room anyway? We spent a few hours last week in the neat lounge on the fourth floor by the fireplace and watched the rain pour down. There are so many places to wander around I would not be in my room except to bathe and sleep...

Patio rooms are great--especially if you're near the pools. I prefer the balcony, though--the views are just gorgeous.

Hey! You know what? I think you just made up my mind for me! lol :rotfl2: You're right. I'm hardly going to be in my room. Why am I spending so much for a honeymoon suite?! :confused3 I think I am going to change resorts. Now the question is...dun dun dun dunnnnnnnn...which one? :lmao:

We had booked a courtyard view with a 40% room rate, but changed to CSR when free dining came out because the room rate went back up. I tried for a LONG time for DH to see it my way... This weekend he did and we re-upgraded!:lovestruc WAHOOO!:yay::woohoo::wizard::banana::banana: I am just a little excited by this. I don't think I have stopped smiling since Saturday!! Now... if those darn Sept hours would just come out.....:rolleyes1

If anyone does sdo the dining, I highly suggest they plan to use their big meal before 4pm. Every single night we were there last week it stormed all evening and bus transportation in a lightening storm does not thrioll me. We ended up having to cancel 1/2 of our reservations. I was so thrilled I was not hooked up to the dining program so we did not loose out like we might have.:) Give me the money off the room any day ......

Why oh why can't they fit 5 in a room at WL? Our problems in choosing a resort would be solved! Just blowing hot air - I know its a fire code thing but its so frustrating. We could fit in a deluxe room for over $600 per night but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Augghh! Thanks for listening.

Hi: Thanks to all of the WL vets for this wonderful thread! I am booking a bunk bed room for my husband, 2 kids and I for April 2010. The room descriptions are so helpful! What I want to request is a woods view/view of Otter Pond/MK, which from the descriptions appears to be - North Wing Building B. Just wondering if there are any bunk bed rooms in that section?

Thanks!:)

Here's a concierge club question for your experts...

I thought I read CL has a dress code and no bathing suits are allowed.

Question: can you wear your suit with a cover-up? For example a beach tunic?

Yes there are bunk bed rooms in that area, friends of ours requested that exact location in April, and were given that room w/bunk beds and saw the fireworks each night...good luck

Ok! I orginally booked for a stay at CSR, hubby didn't want that, changed to CBR and the more I keep looking, the more I wanted to come back to the WL. So today (without hubby knowing---shhhhhh, it's a surprise) I changed to our favorite place--WL. Have to wait till the end of September to get there, but here we come!:yay:

Really? I've stayed CL a couple of times and that just sounds crazy to me. It's just another floor for crying out loud. It's not like there's a fancy lobby or something up there. I've heard of folks going to the lounge in their pajamas. I've never seen it or done it myself but I'm sure it's ok to wear a bathing suit in the hallways. Personally, I wear a cover-up. Don't wanna be scarin' folks as I walk by!
