Hi! I hope this is the correct place to ask! :goodvibes :goodvibes I was wondering about the campfire sing-a-long at FW. Can anyone tell me more about this? I understand it's open to all Disney Resort guests but I'd like to know what time it starts, (we'll be there March 1 - 6, about a week from now :woohoo: ) and if you think a 1 & 3 year old would enjoy it? Also, how do we get there? We'll have a car, can we just park at FW or WL??

Thanks soooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have an idea of the depth of the shallower end of the pool at WL? My kids are used to swimming with vests on, but I don't think I'm going to be able to fit those in the suitcase. My son is about 44.5" tall and my daughter is closer to 46". So, I'm hoping it starts somewhere around 36".

Also, is the kiddie pool for toddlers, or could older kids find it fun too?

You're in luck, since you can rent life vests near the boat dock, for no cost at all. You can keep these throughout your stay. I'm not sure of the depth of the main pool, but your kids should be fine with the life vests. Couple of years ago, my daughter, who was 5 at the time, used the life vest at the pool, because she wanted to do the slide (over and over and over:goodvibes ). The kiddie pool is fun for toddlers, and older kids may enjoy lounging in it, but the main pool is what will grab their attention.

Enjoy the WL--it's a great resort. We've been there 3 times, and will be heading there again this summer.

You don't have to take your car over to FW from WL. Just take the resort ferry that goes to both the Contemporary and FW. We haven't been to the camp-fire-sing-a-long yet but we are planning on doing this the first night we are there. Your 1 year old, I would suppose, probably won't get as much kick out of it as your 3 year old. They sing songs, roast marshmallows, and Chip and Dale come out for a meet and greet. Then afterwards there will be a movie to watch. We are going on 3/16 and from what I read it starts at 7:30pm and lasts about a half hour.

We just discussed our May 2010 trip and since we are not going to the world this year, we decided to go deluxe. My husband loves the lobby at WL, so this is where we will be headed. Can't wait!

Hey DisneyNutz! How are you doing? Haven't seen you frequent the WL photo thread for a while. What's going on??

I have had grandson's birthdays (both fall in the same month a year apart) and a lot of stuff going on at work and basically just been coming home and eating supper and vegging out except when my grandson comes over. I did check in on your photos and they are awesome (as expected) sorry I haven't taken time to post. How was your trip (Hope all went well for you and yours)? We have already booked a two bedroom villa for our next trip right after Thanksgiving (taking oldest daughter and almost three year old grandson for their first trips). Really looking forward to them seeing everything (WL and WDW). Thanks again for posting your pictures!:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are doing okay. I am sure it will be fun and exciting having a family vacation at Disney especially at VWL. My DW is trying to convince me going back on Dec since we just received the 40% code.

We did have fun at our trip but not without a major incident. Please stop by and catch my trip report and you'll know why. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2092475 We might fly or we might drive. It depends. If we drive, we'll have to stop at NC and stay with with my SIL for a night. She lives outside of Goldsboro.

I have plenty more pictures between WL & WDW. It will take time to process them though.

On the first page I just read about the Character Breakfast Buses. Has anyone ever taken advantage of these buses? I am wanting to make reservations at Tusker House at 8:00am. Would I be able to take one of these buses over to AK? I think they said they started 30 minutes before the first reservation for the character breakfast. I really would prefer the bus to driving. Thanks

I am wondering the same thing. We have a res at Tusker House at 8am and am wondering what is the best way to get there? A cab or Character Bfast bus? Anybody?

Ok, I booked a woods view for August and I really want to have a Magic Kingdom view that I have noticed on the picture thread. Do I have a lucky shot of getting that or is that something I should request? Thank you! :)

Good to "see" you. Real life does get in the way of the DIS unfortunately doesn't it? Not to rub it in, but I'm leaving Friday for WDW and will be at WL on Sunday.

I am planning a trip to arrive at the WL the day after Thanksgiving for 6-7 nights. What type of Christmas decorations should I expect to see?
