The Wilderness Lodge and Villas FAQ (Part 7) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY!

Had to post as I just booked our 1st stay at WL for 6nts next June! We could only afford std view but we are just happy to be there. When we were at WDW in '04 we took a side trip to WL and it was sooo pretty! We have wanted to stay here ever since that trip. We are doing a split stay with 5nts. at AKL (our favorite!).

Does anyone know the website that shows the Wilderness Lodge room locations? There was one that showed where each individual room is located but I lost the site when my computer crashed. If not, does anyone know the number of a deluxe suite that has an inner courtyard view? Thank-you!

ETA- I would imagine it's pretty easy to get a taxi. We don't use the buses and I don't want to rent a car.

The link to the map of the room numbers in on the first page of this thread, just a little ways down on the first post.

Has anyone stayed CL recently? Some lounges are getting poor reviews on the Concierge thread! When the food is gone, too bad! Dishes laying around. Stressed CM's! Yikes!

Hi! Are any of you going to the meet and greet at the WL on August 8th, 3 p.m. Territory Lounge? We have a bunch of us meeting there. If interested PM me and I will give you my cell just in case...

Thanks!
Brunette
Have a magical time! Hope to see you both there.

Hello everyone

I've been reading through this thread to research for my 2011 trip and had a couple of questions regarding the layout of the Lodge

We have booked a Woods View room and wanted to try and get an open balcony, not one of the closed in type. Does anyone know where the closed balconies are located?

Also I have seen mention of the 'Otter Pond' and I'm not sure what or where this is?

Is it on the North Side of the lodge? Is it a nice view?

My ideal room would be a high floor with an open balcony with the possibilty of a glimpse of the fireworks so any tips on room requests you could share with me would be great

Thanks all :goodvibes

Yeah, I'm trying to make it. Life is such a mess right now! Trying to get ready for this vacation. We leave Saturday for WDW, then the 14th we're going on a cruise. Packing for 2 weeks is not fun.

Now DD is SICK!!! Just what I DON'T need.

Ugh!!!!!!!

We're looking forward to our Meet and Greet. Hopefully our flight is on time so we can make it.

Thanks all for the well wishes for DD. She'll be fine, just a nervous mother.

4everluvsdisney... are we there yet??? Mikayla is so excited to see Spencer!!!!!! We'll keep an eye on that boating forecast!

We're taking the day off today to rest and relax at the pool. 95% of the packing is done. Not much left I can do righ now. We all need a break.

We are just back a week ago from WL, woods view. We requested and got North wing, Otter pond. We were 3rd floor and had a view of the fireworks. The closed balconies are on the 6th floor in that area. You could request Otter pond, 3-5th floor.

Great info, many thanks this is very helpful

So what exactly is the Otter Pond?

This is it. I requested it as it is a good quiet location, and I could see the fireworks and bits of the monorail. We only saw some big white bird in it, someone earlier saw an alligator. Not sure what else you might spy in there. Have a great trip! :)
