Sorry to butt in, but I have a newbie question; we're planning a split stay for the "girls" (DD, DM and myself) 12/11. We have to do part of it at AKL because DM is dying to take DD on the sunrise safari; but we want to split the stay w/ something more convenient to MK and Epcot for MVMCP, etc. We had planned on the Poly, but between the price difference (I'm somewhat careful money wise by nature) and how gorgeous WL looks (I've seen it during the regular year, and love it- but the pics of Christmas look amazing) and being inside if there's inclement weather (easier for DM with some mobility issues and DD who has high functioning autism) I'm wondering if we'd be just as happy at WL- or who knows, maybe even more so? We love the decor, but heard some mixed reviews about roaring forks- is it a pain to get mugs filled? We wouldn't be eating there much, maybe a quick snack and my Diet Coke- cuz, I wouldn't put my family through a day with mama not having that. Is the boat reasonable time wise? As far as I can see, the Poly would be better transport wise and I love the dole whip availability (and Kona cafe, to be honest) but we had a terrible stay there in the 80's wth black mold on the walls and them refusing to move us, so I'm still a little worried that if there was any kind of problem, I'd be really bummed out- and out a fair bit of cash. Plus, you have to go outside for everything, and if it's cold, it would be nice to keep DD cozy after a park day. I asked this on the main resort board at one point, but of course there's a lot of Poly lovers- so I figured it would be worth asking here- will I be happy at WL or will I desperately wish I had monorail access?
