They are the smaller 4 cup flat bottom round filters. I don't remember if they refilled that everyday. I brought my own.

PS- I can bring extra, do you want to meet up so I can give them to you, or leave them for you at the desk?

I thought I replied but don't see it here! That is such a sweet offer! I have the standard size ones I think from our trip last year, not sure if they work in the smaller ones or not.

I don't know if they will or not. I will have a big package, so if you want some, just let me know. :thumbsup2

i've read that the lobby and WC can get pretty noisy, any opinions?
and any idea where we might get the best view?

thanks for your help!

I don't find the lobby at the WL to be overly noisy from the WCC. Sure, you will hear it when down there, but it is really not a distraction. To be honest with you, when we visited the AKL we found that place to be extremly noisy with all the traffic of those who want to look as well as the popularity of Boma, and Jiko.

Oh yes, 5 more days until we are back home in the lodge.

The staff at the Lodge would be more than happy to replenish the in-room coffee filters and coffee as you need them!!!

I never found the WL lobby to be noisy. Occasionally you hear applause or laughter coming from WC but not distracting or annoying.

My DH just said that I need to pick a Disney resort - so we can stay there while our home is fixed! WL looks like something I will love - It will be really soon - in a few weeks. Making plans is so much fun.

i have a room view/location question:

we booked a woods view room and were hoping to see anything we could of the MK, castle, fireworks or monorail from our balcony.
so far i've requested north side of the lodge, high floor. but i'm wondering which would be better: staying over the lobby, or in the north tower above the otter pond?

We got home last night. We booked a woods view bunk bed room. I requested 4th or 5th floor, quiet area, Otter pond. We got 3rd floor, quiet area, Otter pond. Room 3020. SO glad we got 3rd floor at this location. Had a good view of the fireworks each night and could see the Contemporary and a glimpse of the monorail! LOVED the location and view. I think one floor higher at this location would have had tree tops distorting our view.

Our Mousekeeper, Antonio, was excellent. Probably the best we have ever had in our 20+ resort stays.

Here is what we saw from our balcony:

Thanks for posting your photos and review.

I requested "High floor, overlooking Otter Pond" for our Woods View Christmas stay. I can see what appears to be the service area over to the far left in your Otter Pond photo. Were you ever awakened by the early morning delivery trucks' back-up beeping? I know this can be an issue for Standard Views. I get up early anyway to work-out at the Sturdy Branches, but I don't want my DD to be awakened that early;).

TIA:)

Nope! It was far from us! I had my zoom on in that and the contemporary photo. It was a VERY quiet location. In fact I did not notice that area until I bent over to take a picture a couple days after being there! I was surprised to see it!
We were on the far opposite end of Otter pond!

Great! Thank you.

Great! Thank you.

We did not hear people walking up from the boats either. I would think you could hear that a few more doors down from us. We sat on the balcony 3 mornings for breakfast and each evening and heard nothing (well, the last night we heard a boy and his family on the balcony watching the fireworks too! ;)). I would think courtyard could be LOUD at times. We talked about that when walking through that area. Last time we were on the opposite side for woodsview and all we heard was people ringing that bell near the arcade now and again.

We were there last week in room 4024. We were able to see the castle through the woods and the fireworks above the trees. We could also see the monorail, and parts of the contemporary hotel. Higher would be better, but the view was great and it is very quiet. The other benefit was a short trip to Roaring Forks and the pool. If you request any part of the wing(otter pond view) on an upper floor you will likely be pleased.

We were one floor up from you...Did you see the Aligator in the pond?

Thanks for the pics! I've requested otter pond view as well, any floor but 6. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the 3rd floor, how fabulous! I didn't go more specific than that as we need connecting rooms and was worried I was pushing it as it is.

Nope! What day? Did you get a photo? We had one in the neighborhood over from us a couple weeks ago, walking through a yard. Just a FL thing that can occur! Glad I did NOT see it. I do not like them!

It was there Monday and Tuesday of last week(19th and 20th), It was about three feet long. I will post a pic when I unpack that camera, we got home yesterday.

Just spoke with a nice young man named Chip. he added our request for north side, upper floor for the rest of our trip 8/15-8/23. he also noted we were staying CL on the 14. He said they try to honor room requests and also added we would like to change to a BB room if one comes available( I mentioned that I had been checking without any luck and would keep doing so). It was so nice to have someone nice on the phone after having a few "not so magical" CM'S lately.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
