You'll be fine. We are rope droppers and never have a problem making rope drop at any parks.

MK will be easiest for you. You can take a direct bus to MK which takes all of 10 minutes. The boat takes 10 minutes as well but you may have to wait a little longer. As long as you leave 40-45 minutes beforehand you should be ok but we've made it to rope drop when we left 20 minutes beforehand.

Good luck! Hope you love it! :)

Have to agree; we've been staying on site for the last 9 years and never really had a problem with any of the DW transportation modes; of course we don't expect it to show up as soon as we get to the loading area either!

Just returned late last night from a wonderful stay at WL - Club level! We were there 7/4 through 7/10. We stayed in room #7111 - the room was awesome...
Any questions, ask away...
I took a bunch of pictures and in the process of uploading everything. I will post some pics soon plus a review!

Can't wait to hear/see!! popcorn:: We're staying at the WL CL in Oct/Nov. for our first stay and I'm sooo excited, so I can't to hear what you thought about everything.

We will be checking in on Friday at the WL, our first time staying there. We are so excited. Keep all the great info. and pictures coming, love it!!!

and will write a full report shortly ... but just got back from the docs and she believes my baby has bed bug bites. we noticed a rash/bites on our 2nd night there. didnt seem to bother him too much, thought it was the heat.

brought him to the docs today and she thinks they could be bed bug bites ...

im so disappointed right now ... ya figure they would sterlize the pack and plays before someone else uses them ...

Thiking of switching from CBR to WL for 2 reasons:

1) our room in CBR is a pirate room far from the main pool and food court and there is no other availability

2) DH (disney resister) prefers the theming at WL.

Our boys our 9 and 6 and as long as the pool has a slide they are happy.

As with most resorts, the bus transporationat WL seems to be an issue. Since my kids are early risers we're planning on doing rope drop for morining EMH. Will it be a problem to make rd with transportaiton at WL? How much time do you need to leave?

Many thanks.

We have had no transportation problems from WL at all. In fact, I think it has some of the best transportation on property. The bus to MK is literally 5 minutes, and you're the only stop. Our stop AT MK was always deserted. Literally. Like ONE other family waiting to get on the bus, and this is at MK closing time.

As for the theming, your DH will love WL. It is beyond impressive, and just so relaxing and a great place to stay. I think your kids will love it too. It's a great resort, and a good value IMO!

Good luck! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Any suggestions for room requests for a honeymoon couple? We've already requested a room with a king bed, but we're not sure if we should also request a certain floor or area.

We requested King size, inner court yard view bear face for our honeymoon and thats exactly what we got. so you can try asking for that. The room and view were beautiful i posted photos on here a few weeks back if your interested.

Make sure to note that is your honeymoon on your reservations (resort and restaurants) maybe you'll get a little pixie dust passed your way.:goodvibes

...just poppin' in to say hello to all my old Lodge friends...

Question....

In the beginning of this thread it says that WL shares buses with Fort Wilderness. Is this still true??

Allears states that it doesn't share buses with Fort Wilderness.

It varies. When I visited WL in Dec 2009, the bus to Epcot was shared with FW. Then the bus to DTD was shared with GF. I've never taken the bus to MK, but from what I've read WL doesn't share.

The Boat we share with Wilderness Lodge. Going to MK it stops off at WL and then to FW. Coming back it stops off at FW then goes to WL. (I might have this switched).

We were there in May and did share a bus with FTW to Epcot. To DTD and AK, we shares with the Grand Floridian. The bust to MK is not shared.

Actually there are 2 boats. The boat to MK is not shared (not that I remember). There is a resort loop that goes counter clockwise around the lake and stops at the Contemporary, WL, and FTW

Ahh..yeah that was what it was, we were going to Contemporary to go ski doo back in 2006 and it looped over to FTW on the way back! Thanks! Forgot about that part! I do recall going from WL last year to Poly but can't remember why.

I'm just trying to figure out the best way of going from AK to the TTC so I can take the city bus to Celebration for dinner on Monday Night! ;)

Hmmn. So does that mean for dining at the GF you'd be better off catching an AK or DTD bus and getting off at the GF versus boat to Contemporary (and then monorail) or boat to MK and then monorail or boat?

I was advised last year at FW that boat to MK/Boat to GF was the fastest route to the GF so had planned that for our 1900 bfast but am curious if there is a more direct option.

Just booked a last-minute trip at Wilderness Lodge, Courtyard View. We've never stayed here before, so I'm off to read everything I can! Thanks for this thread! :woohoo:

We also just booked a last minute trip to WL. We originally booked Coronado Springs, then changed it to WL courtyard view and today we received a new Pin for 40% off and now have concierge for $200 more than what we were at before.
