The boats DO start very early, too, but the buses are faster.
We had the 8:05 am CP and took the bus. :thumbsup2
Just wouldn't want to chance it with the boat.
But YMMV. :)

Hi! I booked this week our first stay at WL for late October! Got the 40% off PIN so upgraded from CBR. :cool1: Can't wait and this thread is very helpful and is adding to my excitement. Couple of questions from a WL newbie (1) someone mentioned fireworks from the beach -- can you see Wishes from the beach, so even if our room doesn't let us see it we could see it from the beach? (2) any special activities at the resort for Halloween time? I saw a reference to Haunted Carriage rides from 2008 I think. Thanks!!

You can possibly see Wishes from the beach..at least the higher fireworks, but the views aren't great from what I remember.

Haven't read the whole thread yet (but I will). We'll be at WL in a deluxe room for two days before a cruise in December. First time at club level, so any pointers or info on the current services will be appreciated. Not our first time WL, it was our first deluxe stay in 2001 and one of my favorites.

Really looking forward to staying at Christmas. The pictures I've seen are amazing.

Thanks for the great thread and information.

I have a friend leaving in a few days for their first Disney trip, staying at the WL. They also have reservations at CP at 7:55am.
When do the boats start running?
I think I told her to take the boat that morning.

Thanks in advance.

Tell her to get on the boat to the Contemporary. Then exit the CR marina and walk right, going under the monorail and walking to MK. It is a 5 minute walk after you get off the boat. The boat to CR runs EARLY. Probably best get going by 7 for a 7:55 ADR.
The boat to MK starts at 8:30 when MK opens at 8.

Parts of Wishes can easily be seen from the end of the boat dock, but that would block a lot of the view from the beach. The best view would probably be from the 6th Floor. Take the elevators by Roaring Fork and at the 6th floor go left to a huge bank of windows. You can see more of the low fireworks from that height.

Look back a few pages. Little Lulu just returned with a great review of Club level.

My boys and I are headed to WL in June :yay: and I booked a courtyard bunkbed room. Does anyone know what size the bunkbeds are (twin?) and if the top bunk has a railing all the way around it? I looked at a picture but still couldn't tell for sure.

I believe they are twin size beds. I'm not sure about railing, all I've heard is that there is a warning posted somewhere on the beds that children under a certain age shouldn't be placed on the top bunks.

We are at WL 8/14-815, 8/15-8/23, The first night is a room only CL with pin, I had to book separate because the 2nd part of trip is BB. I upgraded our first night when I received the pin. our 2nd part is a woods view room..... what I'm wondering is will they just leave in CL or move us?..... I don't really care I'm just curious......

They will more than likely move you. I believe those rooms are on their own floor with access only with a room key in the elevator. They only have a handful of rooms at CL.

Of course, I could be wrong, never stayed CL, just dream about it every night!:cloud9:

I figured as much...... however when I called alot of the non cl rooms have booked up due to pins and free dining.....Heres hoping for pixie dust....

All I could get for Dec. with pin was woods view with bunk beds, I guess every one else had the same idea. This will be my first time at WL so as long as they give me a cot out back, I'll be happy.:lmao:

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but Im a *newbie* to this board!!!

We stayed at WL in 09 and had a Courtyard View (of the villas - room 1164) and were pleased with the quiet location - but next time (June 11) I want a room with a "real view"..;)

What types of "bedding" are in the inner courtyard view rooms? Like #'s 067-079 and 035-041 and 123-129? We like the Queen bed/bunks room.

:welcome::jumping1:

The bed configurations are kind of scattered all over the place, especially the bunk beds.

Hi guys! We'll be staying at WL for our upcoming Christmas trip Dec. 3-6 :)
We've stayed at WL in Dec. 07 and loved it! I reserved a courtyard bunkbed room, I'm sure my DD8 will love it :cutie:

When you book, call and have a note added to your reservations. Instead of giving them room numbers, tell them more specifically what you're looking for ie-pool view, lake view. They might be able to accommodate you better if they know exactly what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.:goodvibes
