Can anyone tell me if there are child life vests available at the pool? They had them at AKL and we loved them. In fact, we went home and bought some for ourselves. I need to know if we should pack them or if we'll be able to use the ones at the pool.

They have them, but not at the pool. You have to walk the path over to the bike rental place, and get them there. Just like other resorts, you can keep it for your entire stay.

Is there a map that says which rooms are bunk bed rooms? We are staying at WL in Nov/Dec and we have a courtyard view with bunk beds booked. Thanks

does anyone have any recent pics from a recent stay? I will be going in just about 4 weeks!!! CAN NOT WAIT!!!:yay:

We'll be at WL for two nights 8/19 and 8/20. It's our first time at a deluxe, and we're very very excited!

Hi everyone. We are SO excited about staying here on our Christmas trip! I was just looking at the map of the rooms at VWL. We have a 1BR booked and I'm trying to decide on a request. I noticed 5519 and 5528 were L shaped. Do they give you "extra" room, or is it just configured differently from the regular 1BR?

Also, what does the "closed" atrium mean? Does that mean that you don't see to the lobby below?

Also, can you tell me where the Community Hall is? My DD loves using that to make some one-of-a-kind souvenirs on our trips.

Thanks all,

Thanks all,

I don't remember there being a Community Hall. The crafts are done in the kids club area in the main building. There is a lounge area off the VWL lobby that has lots of chairs and board games. I have seen a Community Hall at BW, but this is MUCH smaller. Everything is convenient to the main building at WL.
The closed atrium has very small (if any) windows. It is 2 or so stories tall, somewhat circular, and built around the focal point fireplace. You can stand on the upper level and see down into the main lobby. There are beautiful decorations at Christmas.

Thanks for the info. Anyone know anything about the rooms on the 5th floor question above??

Thanks in advance,

We'll be there around the same time (4/21-5/1), and this is our 4th time staying at the WL. It is an AWESOME resort----I actually had a pin code that allowed me to stay at the Poly for only like $500 more, but I still chose the WL--that is how much I love this resort.

Okay I call myself going thru this thread hoping I might find my answer.
We booked WL 12-5 thru 12-12-10 we got the 40% PIN and got the Woods View with BB.
My question is what is the best room, Woods/BB, with a somewhat good view of the MK?
Thanks

WL newbies here!! We are staying there for the first time this September. I didn't make it through all the posts, so I apologize if these questions have already been asked.

1. Where is Humpry? Is the at the bottom of the totem pole?
2. How long is the boat ride to the MK? Is it faster or slower than taking the bus?

I'm sure I will think of others. I was really happy to see that you can see the Water Parade from the resort. I had no idea.

TIA

Humphrey is at the bottom of the totem pole at the Mercantile

The bus is faster but the boat ride is much more relaxing and magical; we usually do the bus if we are in a hurry to get to MK but if we have time we take the boat; we always take the boat when returning to the WL; it's a great way to unwind!

66 days till we're back home! :yay:

Has anyone been to WL recently? I heard that some resorts are phasing out resort specific merchandise. I really want to get a Humphrey if they still have them. Was there still WL specific merchandise at the Mercantile?

there in feb. Yep they had WL merchandise. We got a totem pole. They had mugs, clothes also.

as far as the boat/bus. I think it just depends. Sometime we waiting longer for the bus and then it would stop at the campgrounds. We found the boat to be great. and most of the time chose the boat. I think a nice boat ride is far better than a hold on to your persons crazy bus ride. BUT that's just me :rotfl:
