The Wilderness Lodge and Villas FAQ (Part 7) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY!

I know that this isn't a monorail resort, but I was wondering if there are any rooms views where you might catch a glimpse of the monorail as it's running around picking people up. My boys would absolutely loooove that. If not, where are most of the woods view rooms? Are they on the north end or the south end?

TIA!

Edit...I see that you have a page where it lists where the woods views are. I still would like to know what would be the best request if there is a room where you might see the monorail though. :)

Some help please

Family and I are Going to WL day after Thanksgiving for a week wanted to know if any body knows if the Christmas decorations will be up already

We are going on the 29th for a week, I asked the rep and she told me they would surely be up then.

Looking to get a studio is there any great areas to request when I ask for the studio?

Here is a link to the room with the view of a monorail:

Don't forget to look at the map:

So, when I requested that we have a room with a view of a monorail, the cm acted like I was crazy. She said I wouldn't be able to see it from WL. Obviously, I can, if I get the right room!

What would be the best way to request this? Will the person assigning the rooms know which rooms look at the monorail, or should I put it a different way? I know that asking for room 5010 isn't the best idea from what I've read here.

Would asking for room 5010 or another room that has a view of the monorail be a good way to put it?

For your request you should say: North Wing, 5th floor, overlooking the otter pond. This will be a Woods View.

We have booked a standard room in August. The view is not important to me as much as having a quiet room. I was thinking of requesting that on our reservations. Where are the quietest standard view rooms located?

Subscribing....

Hoping to book a trip to WL for early November...and fingers are crossed that Christmas decorations go up early this year!

This will be my 4th time at WL...our last visit was Sept 2009!

If I have a woods view room booked, what should my request be if I hope to see MK from my room?

TIA!

Second question -- RF is that on the MK side?

Hi there!! We just booked a short trip for Nov 28th-Dec 1st at WL!! This is our FIRST trip to WL and our first xmas trip!! :cool1: We are soo exited eventhough its a short visit. I booked a courtyard view simply bc the only standard rooms came with bunkbeds only. We don't want our dd in a bunkbed just yet. She's too young. Anyways...looking for any tips on courtyard room requests. I am thinking they all have to have good views right?? Mainly worried about location. Don't really want to be far away from transportation but also not too close to noisy areas like WCC. Looking forward to your tips for WL at Xmas!!!

I didn't know the standard rooms had bunk beds, I thought that was just the courtyard rooms. If they standards can be bunk bed I may have to check in to that.

Update! I just booked my 4th WL stay!

I got a 40% off pin that included Dec dates today....so I went ahead and booked WL for 12/8-12/13. It's just me and DH, but we could only get a courtyard view with BB....I'll just keep checking in to see if we can get a standard room (no BB) for a discounted rate between now and when we arrive.

Can't wait!!! I'm excited for WL Christmas decorations..

YAAAAAYYYY! So excited to finally be able to post here on this thread KNOWING that I'm staying at the Wilderness Lodge. :goodvibes

We'll be staying at the Villas in a studio... December 11-18, 2010! :thumbsup2 I am SO excited and definitely can't wait.

Christmas time at Disney is our absolute favorite time to go!:santa:

Excited to see some other December WL visitors - I won't be the only one counting down more than 8 months until our next Disney trip! :goodvibes

In my humble opinion, the only thing that matters is that you have a ticker! A ticker no matter the length is a ticker! After my trip in May my ticker will be about 480 days but it is still a plan!
