Bus - 5 min

Boat 10 -15 min

I actually found the boat timing (every 20 min) is more consistent than the bus.

Hope that helps! ;)

Brian

Just like to add that if you do just miss a boat, you will probably have to wait a good 10 to 20 minutes for the next one. So if you're unlucky it can take a half hour total to get to MK.

If you just miss the bus the longest you are going to wait for it to come again is about 10 minutes. The bus is direct from WL to MK and back again so it is a very quick ride.

IMHO if you're in a rush...take the bus. If you have time to spare take the boat.

Excellent advice!

Hi all!
I'm e-mailing Dan at DU as we speak to change our dates and use that awesome gift-card offer. Looks like we'll get to stay at WL! Had to stop in here and subscribe and checkout my new countdown banner.

One day back and I already miss WDW. It is 15 degrees out and we had 6 inches of snow yesterday in north east Ohio. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours because of weather on the way home. Welcome back home.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Orlando. The first 3 were at Universal Studios and Sea World. From there it was 11 awesome days at the WL CL. The resort was as wonderful as I hoped it would be for Christmas.

My DW, DD(12), and I had a great time with my parents staying with us for 7 days. As I mentioned before I hadn't seen them in two years and we surprised my DD with them at dinner our first night there.

I also made a personal goal of sampling(ok, more like indulging) in a beer at each nation at Epcot. I am proud to say I did it. Ok, not all in one day, but I did it. :)

I wish the weather was a little warmer but for us northerners it was still much nicer than up here. And at least we had a day that was warm enough for my DD to enjoy a day at the pool.

We also ate like no tomorrow during our stay. Since we didn't feel like we had to be park commando's and run from ride to ride ( we still rode plenty) we ended up getting the deluxe dining plan. That was a lot of food. We tried a few new places for us such as les Chefs de France, Artist Point, California Grill, Citrico's,Jiko, and The Wave. We also made sure we visited some of our other favorites like Narcoossee's, Le' Cellier, Ohana, and Boma's.

We were planning on going somewhere else for vacation later this year, but I think we all want to come back again. I'm thinking perhaps a week in June or July. I'm going to see what kind of offers if any Disney sends me and go from there. I guess the tough decision is do we go back to WL( Love it there) or perhaps try something like the Poly or even the GF.

Anyway, I've bored you all enough without any pictures. I will have to take the time in the next several days to post them up. I will leave you with a wish for a happy, healty, and prosperous new year. :goodvibes

Oh and Nathanyell, I'm sure your getting real anxious for these next two weeks. Enjoy your time with your "hunny".

I'm glad that you made it back safely and am looking forward to your pictures.

I have barely gotten any work done the last week. haha!

We changed our reservation to get the $750 gift card, but that left me with 2 nights that I needed to rebook, so I decided to do a split stay and try out the Poly. We are just going a garden view there, so I know it will not compare WL CL, but we'll see how we like it.

I totally was checking every day to see how things went for your trip. So glad the surprise went off so well!

17 DAYS!!!

We've decided to stay WL next Aug. Everyone knows I change resorts like the weather changes but for now its WL. I'm very excited to be staying here again. Glad to read about the new spa as well as some of the new activities!

Did someone say "new spa"???? What did I miss - it's been 2 years since I frequented this thread.

I guess you aren't the only one that missed it! We were there mid-Dec. and I didn't hear a word about a new spa...:confused3

Same here, we stayed CL right before Thanksgiving and heard nothing about a spa. :confused3

Thanks for all of the reports, everyone!!! I love hearing about everyone's trips.

Over at VWL, there are massage and facial services at Sturdy Branches. It's not new, but there are some spa services there. I'm assuming that is what the pp was thinking of.

Welcome back, Brunswick. While you were away, I made sure the Brownies took care of business. 3 in a row?! To quote that local car commercial, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Glad you and your family had a good time. Welcome back to paradise!

Thanks, even as cold as it's been it's nice to be back home. As for the Browns, I can't belive they have three wins in a row, have hired Holmgren, and perhaps this thing can get turned around.

I should also add that in January we were in WDW during Superbowl week, and as a Browns fan it was very difficult watching the swarm of black and gold #7 jerseys in WDW. UGGGGH :rotfl2:

Happy New Year, Everyone!

When I was planning my trip 2010 seemed so far away and now we are here!

15 days til I am back at WL!!! :yay::woohoo::cheer2:

Hi, I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures and hearing about your wonderful experiences @ WL! We are trying it for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I'm starting to pull together our itinerary. I was reading in the first post about bus schedules and transportation times . . . how much time should we give ourselves in the plan to get to the parks? (We like to start at rope drop.) Right now I have tentatively scheduled an hour (i.e. depart around 8 for a 9 am rope drop). Is that enough?
Thanks so much!
