I'm thinking about renting a 2br villa for my family in January. Is there a way to request a dedicated unit so you get the 2 queen beds in the second bedroom instead of a queen and a sofa bed? Thanks!

We just called last week for a 2br ressie next May, 2012. I specifically requested the dedicated 2br and explained that I needed it for the 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom. It was not a problem. We shall see if we actually get it when we arrive.

I finally loaded pictures from our trip but I'm disappointed because I did not take a lot of the lodge itself!!! You tend to forget to take photos of the pool or lobby because you are doing things there and then when you walk to the transportation (like the boat) you are in a hurry. So note to everyone - stop and take photos! So here are some pics:

A few days ago my family and I decided that during our August/September 2011 trip to WDW that it's time we visit the Wilderness Lodge because it's been a long time since we went there. So I was wondering in the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile store have they sold any resort merchandice and what has changed inside the lobby over the past few years so we can take new pictures.

A few days ago my family and I decided that during our August/September 2011 trip to WDW that it's time we visit the Wilderness Lodge because it's been a long time since we went there. So I was wondering in the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile store have they sold any resort merchandice and what has changed inside the lobby over the past few years so we can take new pictures.

I can't think of anything "new" in the lobby.

But the Mercantile does have resort branded merchandise such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, mugs, resort prints, magnets, throw blankets, picture frames... Most of the resort merchandise is right at the entrance closest to the concierge desk.

Anyone want to help push me over the edge and convince me to switch our Poly/CL reservation back to The Old Faithful Club which I originally booked? I just need a little push since I've switch the second half of our split-stay so many times since January.

I don't really need to be convinced to book WL/CL, I just need some convincing as to why I should cancel Poly/CL

When I was there a few weeks ago, they did have Wilderness Lodge merchandise (and looks like they just released specific 'camera pins' for each of the resorts - I saw them on line). Much of it had the totem pole with the characters on it. Mugs, thirst, pins, etc. They also had a lot of moose/elk/bear merchandise. I got a red apron with black moose on it and there were other articles of clothing like that and also toiletries (like Moose spit lip balm and soap!).

Your itinerary sounds exciting. We live very close to the Auto Train's terminus in VA. You'll have to post a review of it and the WL when you can.
