Making plans to get a 2BR at VWL for May, 2012. Will call for reservations in a few weeks. There will be 6 of us - DH, DW, DS, DSgf, DD & DDbf. Of course DW and I will get the master BR but any suggestions for rooms with our group size will be appreciated. We can't wait for our first stay at VWL!

We are very excited for our very first trip to Disney! :cool1: We booked the WL bunk bed rooms for the end of October. And of course my kids want to know about the pool. Does anyone know if it is zero entry on one side, or if there are other kiddie pools or splash pads? Thanks!

Gina

Gina,

Neither of the pools is zero entry. But there is a nice kiddie pool near the hot tubs.

What is the closest bathroom from the pool? Is there one behind the trout bar? Just asking because I have one of those kids who waits until the last moment possible to announce she has to go....

There is a bathroom outside on the midpoint of the south wing. It is a quick walk from the slide area. So I would definitely use it.

elleinad16 Sounds great! Thanks for the pics:thumbsup2 That mousekeeping surprise would have freaked me out I think:lmao:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I am back from a wonderful stay at the lodge and the villas. I all ready reported on the honeymoon suite and will try and have pictures up by the end of today, but I'm at work and don't have the pictures on my work computer. I told my DH that it's a good thing I'm going to school to become a CPA to support my club level addiction now.

The second part to our stay was in the villas in a studio. We were in room 3531, third floor, first studio you come to after the circle rotunda. I would definitely request this room again as it was really close to the elevators. It was a corner room so we had two windows and could see the villas pool from our balcony and second window. Only had one minor problem while we were staying there, in the room next to ours was a smoker and he thought he could smoke on his balcony. No I didn't report him but really wanted to. Otherwise it was a magical stay and didn't want to leave, I cried all the way to the airport. Too bad we can't go back next year as we are going to have too many taxes to pay.

Let me know if y'all have any questions.

So glad you had a great stay! You were in the same studio Villa, one floor above, we had last November! We LOVED the location, "view" and it being a corner room with the extra window. Welcome back - looking forward to the pics! :goodvibes

Is there a noise problem when you stay in a room on the 'circle'? I am such a light sleeper... I am worried that voices and elevator noise would wake me.

I am a very light sleep. Yes you can hear people but I never heard any late at night. Fireworks woke us up more than the people did. HTH!

Maybe we should team up at check in time :-) Both get something good! I hear what you are saying about being near the elevators - but I usally like to be as far away from the elevators as possible because of the NOISE!!! But looking at the building layout it looks like the 1br near the elevators are a bit bigger...... who knows... at this point I am so overloaded with plans I am driving myself crazy!

Ditto! I am so over-thinking and planning that I am done. I just want to get there and enjoy it now. I believe I've planned enough to enjoy it :)

I can't wait to see your pictures!

Can anyone tell me where the refill mug stations are? Is there one in the villas? At AKL and AKV they have one in both places. Thanks

You're welcome! The surprise scared us as well...my father gasped when he walked in and my mother thought mousekeeping had laid down for a nap! :lmao:

Roaring Forks is the only place at WL to get mugs refilled

I haven't had any luck getting this info..does anyone know exactly what is available for the refillable mugs at Roaring Fork? Thanks

As in the information on what drinks they have specifically? The have coke products, lemonade, powerade, iced tea, hot chocolate. I'm sure there are a couple other kinds of pop but I didn't get a drink there all but once this trip.

We were in room 7085 on the Magic Kingdom side:

I should also add because I don't have pictures, the ceilings were vaulted and very tall. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever get the chance to again.

Maybe it was not the same room, but it sure sounds exactly the same...ours was not on the circle. You came out of the elevator, walked to the left half way around the circle, then down a short hall to the room. I thought we might hear noise b/c a housekeeping closet was opposite (across the hall) from our door, but we never heard a peep.

Not pool noise either. The only thing we heard was the Electrical Water Pageant at night - which could be partially seen through the pine trees and the MK fireworks, which could be seen above the Lodge to our left, either from the side window or from our balcony. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

(I checked and our room was 4531,one floor above, but exact location, corner room. It was blocked for us by Special Needs, although it is not an HC room.)
