Booked yesterday with the 40% off pin discount (yesterday was the last day to get the discount). So excited! We've never stayed deluxe. We arrive Dec 17 and will stay until the 23rd. Hoping it's not too crowded. We'll be celebrating my b-day while there, as well. Can't wait! Now I have to start thinking about dining!

Yeah!!! While I have not stayed at WL...yet!...you will not regret booking deluxe!!! Enjoy!

Hi,

We have our first visit from Australia to WDW coming up in August, and are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for Eight nights...

I have finished booking all our lunches and dinners at the Parks and Downtown Disney, we planned to just have breakfast at Whispering Canyon every morning before we head out for the day, is it really necessary to reserve a table for breakfast as well, or is it easy enough to just turn up... All the available times for Whispering Canyon if we reserve are after 9:00AM, and we want to be on the way to a park by then...

Any inside help would be greatly appreciated..

I would recommend grabbing some 'quick' breakfast at Roaring Fork rather than a sit down breakfast every morning. That will really 'eat' up your time and trust me when I say you'll want to sleep as late as possible and still make it to the parks early to enjoy the small lines!

I'm so excited!!!! Dh surprised me yesterday when he said he'd like us to stay at WL for 2 nights before we head home from WDW this fall! I can't believe it! We're staying at CBR for most of the trip, but dh knows I've always wanted to stay at WL too. Sooo excited!! I haven't read this thread yet, but I can't wait to get started. I think we're just in a standard room. Any tips/suggestions would be great! :goodvibes

Congrats! I haven't stayed WL yet but I'll be paying attention to all the tips you get :goodvibes

I guess we're having a month of celebrating... at the hospital right now waiting for my daughter to be delivered.

Just checking in to say hi!

Anyone heard if the hot tubs are back up?

Brian

OMG!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!! Let us know when she arrived! My nephew (9th time being an Auntie!!!) arrived yesterday on March 3rd and I'm so stinkin proud - and he's not even my kid (but blood related so of course he is picture perfect and I'm proud as a peacock!)

Is there still a bus that runs to the TTC? It used to be quicker to take the bus to the TTC and hop on the monorail to Epcot than to take the Epcot bus. I'm just wondering if that is still an option.

...WDW HAD stopped that bus route for a while; not sure if its running again (we were 'stuck' extra late at MK one night, and had to take the monorail to the TTC to get a bus back to WL, since the friendships were already done for the night)...

No, it's not an option any longer. Bus is really the only way to go that makes any sense.

...an excellent suggestion. Another spin to this would be to do what I used to do every morning - I'd be the first one up, so I'd get ready first. While the rest of my family was getting ready, I'd go to RF and bring breakfast back up to the room, so, as each person finished dressing, they could sit at the small table and eat. (kinda a 'killed two birds with one stone' deal...)

...off-topic, but I have a message to all the 'oldtimer' lodgers here:

THANKS! :thumbsup2

I may not be an 'old-timer' lodger but I signed it :)

That's what I do too! I like to get up earlier than the rest of the family so I can get ready then go grab some food (or supplement what we have in the room since I usually bring cereal and just need some milk and fruit). Then we all take turns using the facilities and getting ready while the rest eat. Of course, usually one of the kids waits till the last minute to get up and they have to drink juice and eat a granola bar as we walk out the door.

This is exactly what I do!! Get up early, go down to RF bring back breakfast while DH gets everyone up and ready for the day! A quick breakfast in the room and off to the parks we go!!

:yay: CONGRATULATIONS, Brian!!!!! She's a tiny little one! Does this new Princess have a name? :cloud9: So happy for you all!!!:goodvibes:cheer2:

We decided on names one night drinking at the pool bar at the Poly before dinner. Her name is Caitlynne.

Aww, what a lovely name for a perfect little Princess!!! Very pretty - and any name that births around the Polly Pool Bar could never be anything less than beautiful!!!

Just back yesterday from WL, the hot tubs were back up and running but the geyser is still not operating. No word from any of the CM's regarding when it might be up again. Sad not to see it.

Congrats and welcome to the world Princess Caitlynne!

We are going back in October and I have seen some posts that say the rooms are starting to show some wear. Just wondering if anyone has heard when the next room refurb will be?

Congratulations on the little girl.

I love the the spelling of her name. Our daughters middle name is the same but spelled differently. :thumbsup2

Brian, that's a beautiful name for your princess! Congratulations!

We've got a bunch of March birthdays coming up. Both of my boys, 2 of my friend's boys, my godchild, and my cousin. Then, there's my anniversary, as well.

I'm so excited that my WL WDW vacation is booked. Can't wait to get down there and enjoy. April can't get here fast enough!

Congrats Brian. My youngest was 22 months on his first visit. Tigger woke him up during his nap and 8 1/2 years later he still is mad at Tigger. :rotfl2:
