I was wondering if anyone that has teenages has done the Wild Side Excursion at Castaway Cay?

I have 15 yr old triplets and they are interested in doing this?

Would anyone be so kind as to fill us in on the details and if it is worth it?

Thanks,

If this helps go to disneycruise.com. At top of page click ports of call. Click Castaway cay. Then middle of page click exscursion(?). There is a brief description of what is involved.

Hopes this helps.

My 15 y/o son did this excursion on the 04/04/04 Wonder and he loved it...sorry as with most 15 y/o's not many details..but he said it was a great time....

Thanks for the replies.

If anyone can think of anything else I would appreciate it...

Would your teenagers do it again?

My first DD did it the first cruise. On our second cruise my two DD done it.

They loved it.

You have to sign a waiver because they leave the ship without you. I left them at their club around 9 o'clock. They did snorkel, bicycle and kayak. They gave them lunch and they spent time on the teen's beach. I didn't seem them on CC. I saw them in our cabin around 4 o'clock.

They loved it.

My son would do it again in a heartbeat...

Another question that came up, do you think if they wanted to leave early and come join us (the rest of the family) on CC, would that be possible?

My DD 13 did Wild Side this summer. Before the cruise she was apprehensive about doing it. I heard it almost always sell out, so if she didn't want to go she could have sold her ticket or told the excursion person to sell it so I booked it anyway. She was SO happy she had it booked. A few of the friends she met on board decided they wanted to go but couldn't find any available tickets. So if they think they will be interested, go ahead and book it. If you are on a busy cruise, it will sell out!

We were near the water playground on the family beach. So the first time my DD came and found us. The second time my two DD didn't care to find their mother and father :o))))

It is possible just tell him around where you will be and it should be OK.

In Nov 2003 our DD (then 13) did the Wild Side and HATED it ... I think it was because the friends she'd made weren't doing the excursion too so she was doing it with a bunch of teens she didn't know ... she bailed on the excursion early and went back to the ship.

This year (Nov 2004) I couldn't convince her to sign up for it in advance, and once on the ship she made friends, and again those friends were not doing the excursion so she had no desire to try to sign up at the last minute.

Next year (Aug 2005 repo) might be different ... 6 of the 7 kids in our group will be in the teen club, and if all 6 of them want to do the Wild Side she'll go since she'll know other teens on the excursion.
