The rumor is out there. FYI. According to the band official website, "Rumours circulating that The Who are going to play at the Superbowl in Miami in February are pure speculation. "

That would be so cool! We have been to a couple super bowls and the last Super Bowl we went to in Miami had Kathie Lee Gifford sing in 1995, it also had Tony Bennett/Patti LaBelle/Arturo Sandoval/Miami Sound Machine
...boring...oh so boring....
Best super bowl 1/2 time was Michael Jackson in 1993 in Pasadena...Now that was a great show!!!! (we were there too!!!)
Hope the rumor is true!

they are not very relevant. but i will say "Who's Next" is on my short list of best albums of all time along with "Dreamboat Annie"..........."Hotel California"................."A new world record"................"Aja".............and "Point of know return" can you name the bands?????????

Just something I just noticed. The comment on the official Who board that said it was pure speculation has dissappeared.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.............

I'm obviously a big fan so I'm biased about Roger and Pete appearing. I hope the media is kind with the "old geezer" jokes.

On a somewhat related note. I went to see Roger Daltrey (he is performing solo right now) Wednesday night at a very small venue in NJ. I have been a fan of the Who since 1980 (high school years) and have seen them almost 20 times. Anyway, my wife and I were sitting in the 5th row on the side. It was a great show. When the show ended, the people in front of me left and Roger and his band were waving good bye. I don't know what made me walk closer and closer to the stage, but I did. Roger at that point started shaking hands with people who were standing in front. I walked right up to the stage and being the last one on the right, I extended my hand and he came over and shook it and said hello. I have no idea what I said but it was 5 seconds that played in very slow motion. It was a cool moment.

Yes, the Who are My Generation. That makes them (and me) old.

I'll bet they still can entertain. Me? Only after a long nap. :3dglasses

They couldn't find anyone older? Duke Ellington wasn't available? :sad2:
