I wanted to let you guys know that I was able to use the wheelchair roll-in car on Journey Into Imagination today. I didn't notice any changes that might have been made during the refurbishment.

It's great to have back another ride you can roll into. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks, Bill.
Nice to hear it is back.

When I was there on Saturday there was a man getting very nasty with the CMs there. I'm not sure if the car was back on line at that point but I think it was because the man was angry he had to wait with his ECV when it was walk on at that point. What I overheard was him yelling about how someone should have told him before he got in line that he had to wait, that he didn't want to transfer (which I'm not familiar with the accessible car and what can go on it so I don't know if he didn't want to get out of his scooter or didn't want to transfer to a wheelchair). He also complained that we were all "cutting" him in line because he had to wait. He managed to get a lot out of his mouth in the minute in a half I was near by.

Bill wrote he did not notice any changes in the accessible ride car - it was only wheelchair accessible before, not ECV accessible. So he would either have to transfer to a regular ride car seat or to a wheelchair to ride in the accessible ride car.

Someone who gets that angry about little things like that would not be pleasant to travel with. I really feel for the CMs because I know they get that kind of yelling pretty frequently.

Wow, I guess this guy is going to be really disappointed during his trip to WDW. A large amount of the rides require an extra wait for wheelchair/ECV users after going through the regular line. Especially if you need the special ride vehicle.

Yes...
And it's not like they are requiring an extra wait just because they want to make guests with disabilities wait longer.
Since the ride cars are on tracks, you need to wait for it to come around again. If it just left the boarding area right before you got there, you will have to wait a s much as one whole ride cycle for it to get back there (less if they have more than one accessible car).

Honestly this man was so nasty I'm surprised he hadn't been kicked out of the park yet.

I didn't hear what the original issue was, like if it was a miscommunication on a CMs part or whatever but I have to imagine (hahaha..imagination) it was the first ride he tried to get on or he reaaaaaaaaaally lucked out on something else that had no wait or transfer.

This is great news!! We will be at Epcot next week and I was wondering if my husband would be able to ride with me and the kids. Thanks for the update!
