I'm not trying to be a negative nelly or anything, I do believe Osama is dead, I honestly do. HOWEVER, the way they went about burrying him at sea is just, I don't know something just isn't right about that. He was one of the most hated men in the world, why would anyone want to give him a proper burial? I seriously just want to see a picture of this taking place on the front page of a newspaper or something. It would give me closure at least. I'm definetley not trying to start a political debate by the way, just my opinion on the matter. :goodvibes

...I think everyone deserves a proper funeral. You must remember that he thought what he was doing was RIGHT. That's his religion. He was still a bad person though (:

My friend went there on her trip and really liked it. I have never watched a Harry Potter movie or read the books, so I wouldn't have a clue about any of it. (:

You're not a Harry Potter fan? Just kidding, it's cool. A lot of my friends aren't either so you're not alone. A lot of them just think it's about a boy wizard with magical powers who goes to a school to defeat the guy with no nose for 7 books. I'm sure if you went to Harry Potter world and didn't say that you would be fine. :thumbsup2 I have yet to go sadly. Im hoping to go to Disney and there in October but me and my mom are still kicking things around.

I seriously think Osama's death has been long awaited and deserved to him. I don't give a crap that he died, I am thrilled even. He DEFINITELY deserved it.

So, we had a test on the Odyssey today. I did really well on the questions about the BOOK, but my teacher decided to throw in 20 vocabulary words from the epic that I had no idea would be in the test. Long story, short, I shall be doing extra credit work this afternoon.

i don't know when mine was haha
This^

They buried him at sea mostly so his grave wouldn't become a shrine to his followers. Besides, from what I understand it is not a proper burial in the Muslim faith, as a body is supposed to be buried facing Mecca. I think the only part complying with Muslim law is the "buried within 24 hours" bit.

Ugh,I hate when teachers throw in random questions that you didn't study about.

*cough* my history teacher *cough*

I don't know if it's for me. Yet, I haven't exactly given it a chance.

Oh my gosh. Sara(h),I saw a kid in my math class with a Yankees jersey and it had "Jeter" on the back and it made me think of your dog.

Osama bin Laden deserved what he got. I'm thrilled we took out one of the largest terrorists, but this is no way the end of terrorism. I'm afraid we may get some retaliation from this.

I think it was best they gave him a proper burial. It would ease the tension between us and Al Qaeda. They are probably already angry he's dead. Like I'm glad he's finally gone since we've now hit the central system of Al Qaeda and are even more safe. Because of him, 3,000 people aren't alive right now.:sad2:

Me either. I don't like Harry Potter at all and I've read the books already.

I pretty much expect it, unless Al-Qaeda implodes upon its-self like some organized crime families do.

Luckily, America's security has been heightened and will probably be that way for a very long time.

You have a very good point. It was his religion even if many people think he was nuts. And maybe the military found it fair to do that, I really don't know. What gets me is that there isn't really any evidence to prove his death and because of that a lot of conspiracies are going to go down.

Ok people are probably getting annoyed with this topic by now so I'll stop! :)

I love Harry Potter. It's the most entertaining book series I have ever read. I understand a lot of people don't like it, though...
