Evening friends, having trouble falling asleep this evening.
Lauren, I'm sorry you couldn't see Charles today. I pray the acupuncture helps his pain & you can see him soon. I am so sad that you are dealing with this at such a young age my dear friend!

That pic! No that can't possibly you??!!! You now look at least 20 years younger & a lot prettier!!

Although I totally can't blame you for not lookint your best. I woudl be star-struck meeting Fergie!
Hate to go O/T here but I'm afraid I'll forget if I don't ask now. We're having a get together with some DISers in October, a BYOB kinda thing around 9/9:30 in the evening. We're having dinner at Flying Fish at the Boardwalk before. We'd like to have a bottle of Rosa for the meet but can we get on Disney buses with alcohol and bring it in the restaurant? If not where can we buy a bottle, chilled, in the EPCOT resort area?
Kat, I don't know where you could buy chilled Rosa. But I don't think you would get checked on the bus or in the rest, if you have it in a bag. You could also drop it off at our room before hand & we could put it in the fridge. Can we book adr's now? I haven't done a thing yet! You know we love FF, maybe we could join you? We should probably have something for Brenda. Any ideas on that? Just a card, a gift or maybe just more liquor & maybe we could order hor d'oeurves from somewhere in the BC?
Prayers for Angelina's job as well as for you and Bob with the aide. As you come to know the aide, it will get easier and easier, so I hope this one works out.I'm glad that worked out. I hope the home for Ace works out that well.
Ladies, I need to ask you to add me, well my father really, to the prayer list. He was just diagnosed with lung cancer and we are all devastated. He is undergoing some more tests, particularly to see if it has spread before the doctors prescribe any course of treatment. But today the doctor told us that if it has not spread and is just in his lungs we are looking at a time frame of 6 months to 2 years depending on how well he responds to treatment.
I'm really lost right now and would appreciate any prayers you could spare for me.
Thanks for the prayers my friend, prayers are being sent right back to you. Job & back problems seem so insignificant to cancer.

This is so hard, my prayers & thoughts will be with you.

Oh, that sounds so familiar! I get the same reaction from Katie. Now, I wait for her to let me know she's forgotten something, then I charge her for the gas and the time it takes me to get to the school. It's forcing her to take responsibility. As for my April Fool idea, I can't take the credit. I subscribe to Family Fun magazine, and that's where I get my ideas. The kids are getting faux fish sticks for an after school snack: wafer cookies smeared with peanut butter and rolled in crushed Corn Flakes.
Whoa lady! You are too smart & DD thought we were tough!

You ideas amaze me. I'm impressed with the cute ideas for family fun, but I really think you could teach a class on child behavior & parenting!

How old is Katie & when should I start to expect this with Alexis? DD sorted started off with kind of attitude, but Alexis is so different.
Sheryl - I'm sending major prayers and pixie dust for Angelina! I really hope this comes through (and the insurance stuff, too!). It's her turn for some good news!
Gretchen - I'm so sorry to hear your bad news! Prayers coming your way, too!
I guess this is a day for bad news. I just got a phone call from my dad. He's in Paris right now, with a tour group he put together. They are people who visit his Festival every year and donate money to it. Anyway, one of the ladies on the tour had a heart attack and died in Paris.
Thanks, You are a sweet friend! My poor girl hasn't had a break lately! I so wish y'all could meet her. She is so good at what she does, strong & confident. It makes me so sad to see her go through all of this. It's particularly hard when she has followed all of our advice about education and choice of jobs ( when she graduated, she had options).
I'm sending prayers for your Dad! That must be a really difficult situation for him to handle.
Dinner tonight ending up being burgers on the grill. I had frozen Omaha burgers, which were easy & Bob's request. He had a very, very, bad day at work, so I shut down my idea of "fancy" salad & gave him a good m-rare burger with potato chips & wine.

His day was so rough, the burgers, LOTS of potato chips!, and wine didn't even seem to help! I feel bad when he starts talking engineering stuff that I am clueless about. All I can say is I'm sorry & fix the food that he feels will help.
