I am here...I just could not sleep. I guess I am really excited so I was tossing and turning all night so I got up and did the stuff that I needed to do today to get ready to go to the hospital.

Andrew is going to his dad's today so Tom and I are going for a last dinner at a local Italian place. They have really good seafood so that is what I am looking forward to.

We have to be at the hospital at 7am tomorrow so it will be an early night. Andrew will come back on Sunday to meet his brother...

I am not sure I will be on much today but want to thank you guys for being such great friends. I will be sure to post some pics as soon as I can. I would like our parents to see the baby before I post on the net so I am thinking Monday...

87 degrees I thought our 60 yesterday was good. I think I'll stick with the 60, 87 sounds like I would have to break out shorts and a sleeveless top and I am so not ready for that.

Tonight I have some running around to do. I am trying to get my errands caught up from not having my car up to snuff. I think we finally found all its ill's and fixed them. Famous last words.

I just gotta say the traffic is horrific tha morning! 30 min after leaving my apt, I'm 2 bus stops from home! I think there is a U2 concert at Fordham University this morning for Good Morning America. At least that's what I heard. My bus goes right past the school and there were cops everywhere.

Now the trains are delayed! An empty one just rolled past and didn't stop! At least with a commute like this, I figure the day can only get better from here on out!

What a way to start the day!

I have to run errands today and start getting things ready for my taxes. I always promise myself to start early but never get there....this is actually early for me. I want to hit the fish market and pick up something good.

The wedding plans are going well...I found my dress last month..YAY! i love it! I am on ww and working out a lot more and have lost 9 lbs so far

heehee..i love that thing..i highly reccomend it!!!! Actually we did buy the green leaf kit ( actually got it at CHristmas from my mom) BUT you can buy your own seeds and use their little nutrient pods to grow just about anything as well. We have yet to try that..but i am thinking of doing peppers that way after the lettuce is done!

You can't tell us you found your dress & not show us a pic!!! Puuleeeeze!!! Congratulations on the weight loss too!!! Keep up the good work!

I wish I would have found it half price at Target, I would have snapped it up. I'd love to have to have herbs all winter & like to try growing lettuce in it, with the hot/cold weather here I've been unsuccessful with lettuce.

Sheryl Can you ask for a review so your daughter can get the procedure approved? Depending on the company you can appeal before the procedure instead of after it is done. Let me know if I can help you out.

Janice, I dont know if she could ask for a review before the procedure, it's an HMO? She has to have an MRI of her neck now, so that's going to hold up the low back procedure anyway. She did find out she could do Cobra at a decent rate, so if she does get laid off, she will do that. Thanks for your expertise!

Hi all, I have been a bit of a lurkyloo today. Just wanted to check in and
sends hugs out to Sheryl's family, Lauren, and Scotlass's boy. If I missed anyone else please forgive me. I am a bit rejuvenated now after we got a 3 hour nap. DS had been up since 3:30am and would not go back to bed. Other than a little lack of sleep we (the baby & I ) are feeling great.

The home health aide visit didn't go!!! Was supposed to be here for 6, didn't call, nothing, nada. And this is the kind of people we are supposed to rely on to get DH off to work! Arghh!

Kathy gave us some names of health aides, that we are going to check into now. We were trying to go through an agency to avoid being "an employer" and having to deal with all of that tax/S.S. stuff. But we are clearly not having any success. DH spoke to a friend yesterday who owns a temp agency & he could set up employment through his company. So we'll see.

Standoff...showdown....whatever.... All that, er, dat for a po'boy. I want one now though.

Yeah I was not in the room at the time; it was my prep and when I came back, a bunch of kids ran up to me and were all upset because of what he had said.

Oh dinner tonight is going to be Tuna Steaks with bok choy. Not quite sure how I'm cooking it. Wasabi pea coated or sesame seed, or maybe with some kind of noodle soup thing??? Depends on what time I get back home.

Has he figured it out yet? If not, you can really blow his mind tonight after the singers perform and say that there were so many good performances, you don't think the judges will be able to pick just three. Then wonder if the show will have a Top 13 this year, rather than a Top 12. (The judges picked four last night...Megan, Jasmine, Matt and Anoop...to join the 9 already selected by viewers.)

Just an FYI, I am now giving up breaded chicken for the rest of Lent!

Bethany -- It sounds like your apartment situation is going to resolve itself, so that is good. I missed the U2 performance because it coincided with the arrival of the school bus. I can't imagine a first grader saying he is going to kill himself. I wonder where the children hear that? Of course, one of Caili's friends keeps calling herself a "dumb girl" or a "dummy" and I don't know where she gets that. I know it is not from her parents.

Sheryl -- I'm sorry things did not work out with the health aide. I hope you find a new person soon.

Nancy -- I forgot to mention on FB...Nola is such a cutie. She must make you smile every day.

Well, after all that, I am here to report that I don't know what I am making for dinner yet. My day is thrown off a bit because I was supposed to help out in Caili's class this afternoon, but her teacher called and said they were not going to be doing the activity. Hopefully, Caili is okay...she was really looking forward to having me there.

Why breaded chicken?

I have two kinds of already breaded chicken in my freezer, Tyson breaded chicken breast cutlets and Hungry Man Beer Battered Chicken and potato wedges in cheese sauce meals. For the last two weeks I have had those two things WAY to much. It's too easy to come home and throw one or the other in the oven. And it's all because I forget to take something out of the freezer.

Hi All!

I am tired!!! I was at the hospital this AM for 2 freakin hours for my tests that normally take 45 min (computer issues)...thank God that is done !!! Thank you for all the well wishes!

I cannot wait to see my boy and show him off. I am going to be out of it tomorrow so hopefully Tom will show some pics...Facebook is probably more likely than the DIS...he can never remember his DIS password!

Well, my day was all right (they removed one of my kids that was causing problems for today) but the school basically got locked down in the afternoon because of the chaos. No hallway movement allowed for the last hour of the day!

It is shorts, tank, and flip flop weather. It's 79 right now, which I like, but the upper 80s is a little warm for me. It's supposed to be 86 as a high today.


Tonight I am grilling some salmon plus making a quinoa dish that I found in Cooking Light (or was it Rachael Ray?). It took me FOREVER to find quinoa at Kroger. I searched high and low and finally found one bag of it in the organic food area.

It is warm here but no where near 80. It is supposed to reach 60 tomorrow but will not be sunny. I don't care....the snow is melting. Last year I put my inflatables in the front yard (Okay, Buddy did) for Christmas. We got an ice storm after the first night they were inflated. Then we got another one. I never saw them again until the end of April so this is all good!

Dinner is TBD. I bought tilapia at Costco today and now I don;t feel like cooking. We'll see what Buddy wants, it si just the two of us. He may wnat that tuna in the fridge

Good news! I called the management again. She had heard back from the landlord, and I can stay until the end of June! I will have to sign the year lease, but there will be a 60 day rider on it with an amended end date. This means that I will not be responsible for the other 10 months and. Will get my deposit back! Yay!
