That's an interesting question. I would suppose he could do either one.

Boiling chicken for my chicken bake, didn't have enough leftover from the other night. Bad thing going to the store when starved, it took all my willpower not to buy a bunch of junk!

Luckily I had to go down the aisle with the Asian foods, they had cans of straw mushrooms and bamboo shoots on sale.

Tonight is a thrown together dinner, Chicken strips fries chicken satay ala costco and apple slices. We have to go to the library tonight so dinner needs to be fast.

I booked a salon appointment for the week I come back from Florida.....I figure there won't be as much damage for her to inspect...

My DH just called and says "I saw a sign" I was like "A stop sign? What are you talking about?" He says "No a sign. My birthday is on Labor Day this year" I was still completely lost, but he starts talking about how you can get into Disney for free on your birthday. God love him! He wants to go again this year! So it looks like I might be able to plan a trip for Labor Day weekend.

I like the way he thinks!

Dinner was good. The crab cakes that Buddy brought home were awesome! I hate to think how many points each was but they were worth it. He paid $10 a piece for them so it is a good thing I did not ruin them. The pumpkin sauce was good too, although it was not pretty at all. The chickens in my family had a red meat sauce.

I took the boy ice skating on Monday and after a hour he was really quite good.....unlike mum who did a very good Bambi impersonation !!

I dont think youse guys have met the boy have youse....need to post a picture maybe.

Dinner will be meatloaf, mashed taters and carrots or whatever veggie I put out. We also have some leftover chicken cutlets if they want them.

Andrew and I have hair cuts today, have to pick up Market Day and then go for sneakers for his boats of feet. I guess he takes after me...size 11 here!

Good morning everyone!

Sheryl- Alexis looks so proud, as she should be! That's still a milestone we are working on at our house. She went ice skating with my inlaws and did great, but the bike concept never "clicks."

Hersey- I'm glad the car worked out well. I have an amazing ability of making myself sick with worry, and it's usually for no reason.

Ann- Use lots of garlic in the bread and you'll feel better!

Today is our 9th anniversary, and I'm not trying to rush things but that means only one more year until we celebrate our tenth at Disney. So we are having a Le Cellier dinner. It's always been a family favorite, since it was a cafeteria. We are having cheddar cheese soup (of course), mixed greens with roasted shallot vinagrette, and filet mignon. I might make funnel cakes for dessert, but we'll probably have leftover birthday cake. I might make soft pretzals to go with dinner, but I don't really see that happening.

Dinner tonight will be leftovers from last night. Turned out pretty good, would have liked a little more spice though. I used mild taco sauce so next time I need to get medium. I'll post the recipe later, have to work it out right.

Sheryl -- That is a great picture of Alexis! Congratulations to her. Liam still won't ride a bike. He likes his bike about as much as Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes) liked his. Two springs ago, my ILs tried to force Liam to learn, which naturally didn't work, and he hasn't been on the bike since.

It is funny how big their feet look, isn't it? Shoe shopping is on the agenda for me and Caili this weekend...unfortunately, when her feet grow, the shopping list includes shoes, sneakers, tap shoes, jazz shoes, ballet slippers and skates. I think we might be able to get away with keeping the jazz shoes and the ballet slippers, but the skates ...that's going to hurt.

Ann -- I am sorry you are still not feeling well. You were smart to cancel the dentist though. That is bad enough without having a cold.

I am glad I am not the only one with children who don't ride bikes. Caili wants to learn how to ride hers, but she needs a new bike...and better weather.

Stephanie -- I thought Kris did well last night. He is very cute. Becky and I were wondering if he sings that song with children's choir.

I think I might finally make that Asian noodle bowl I've been talking about all week tonight.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed her pic! She is quite proud of herself & was ready to get out there again, just as soon as she woke up! But she's gotten to fast already. I need to go out & find a helmet, knee & elbow pads for her! I posted a video from yesterday morning on FB. I'll have to take more, because she is just flying now!

Speaking of Kris--he did really well last night. We voted lots. But I see the guy with all the eyeliner getting the guy spot tonight. And then it's a toss up for me as to who gets the 3rd spot. There were a couple really good girls last night so one of them could get the 3rd spot. He does have a big fan base here b/c of the church and the university. We'll see.

WFD tonight is Peach Chicken and stuffing from Glynis. Don't know if the kids will touch it, but I'm tired of them eating mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. Okay, time to get ready for work.

Oh, and as great as my husbands idea was....I think we're not going to take that trip. We already have one planned for January. So they would be pretty close to each other. And we also want to travel up to Wisconsin this summer to spend some time on the lake and visit with some old friends from when we lived there (also get out of the blasted summer heat down here for a week!)

Hi, everyone. I'm posting quickly before Mary calls for me again. Yup! She is down with this crud now. Poor thing. Unfortunately for me, it means that I don't get a second day to rest and get over this bug. I'm feeling much better, but I'm still achy all over. Oh well. Alan doesn't work tomorrow, so I'm planning on spending the day in bed and letting him deal with any sick kids that crop up between now and then. I'm thinking that Timothy had a bout of this as well. On Sunday, he was throwing up 5 minutes after eating. He's also been sleeping a lot more than usual. Hopefully, that's all he'll get. He's still happy, so that helps things.

Not sure what we'll have for dinner tonight. It depends on how many kids come home from school sick. Jacob has his cub scout blue and gold banquet tonight that we were all supposed to attend. I'm hoping he'll be ok to go with a neighbor. The rest of us will stay here and eat something. Chicken noodle for the sickies, and I'm not sure what the rest will have. Maybe a chicken salad.

Laura- Thanks for posting that Liam doesn't ride his bike yet, I feel much better. I thought it was just my kid. For some reason Easter is her favorite holiday (probably because she never had to go to the candle light mass, I'm so bad I don't even remember it's proper name) and last year we spent it it the hospital with my husband. We don't usually do much, just a couple of hidden eggs, but I think this year the easter bunny might bring a new bike.

Sheryl- that is some tasty looking garlic bread.

I agree about the eyeliner dude and the red headed young girl was really good too! Hopefully Kris got enough votes to nab that 3rd spot.

Change of plans on dinner tonight, my guys both called me at work today (I'm sure they planned it) complaining that soup isn't enough for dinner so I caved in and am making spaghetti & meatsauce.
