The WHAT?! juicy cheesecake?!,pinkpajamaswithpenguinsonthebottom, dream sea adventure

I'm really enjoying your pictures!

Spoiler alert:
My favorite part of "Villains Tonight" was when Kronk and Yzma sat down in their roller coaster car thing and you heard the Disney monorail announcement "Please stand clear of the doors..." - I laughed really hard when I heard that!

Robert

thank you :) Now that you mention it, i do remember that part! It was pretty funny :D

We woke up early this morning to get ready for snorkeling at Castaway Cay! Our excursion ticket said to meet up at Marge’s Barge, which was very close to the ship. Before we got there, we had our picture taken with the Dream as the background.

Scan112220008.jpg

How beautiful is the Disney Dream? We then went to our meeting spot where we waited for about twenty minutes. During that time, we took pictures! I remember it was really hot that day. The sun was also extremely bright which caused some squinty eyes. :)

P7300307.jpg

I took a lot of pictures of the Dream and of the beautiful water. I remember I didn’t feel too well this morning. I think it was the sun and heat, but as soon as we got on the catamaran and the breeze from the boat started going, I instantly felt much better. Plus I wasn’t going to let anything ruin this day!

P7300310.jpg

P7300311.jpg

I loved Sorcerer Mickey and the brooms on the ship. Fantasia was my favorite movie growing up, which my mom didn’t understand because it was just all music. I remember wanting to watch it all the time though.

P7300318.jpg

P7300319.jpg

These were taken when we were on the catamaran. When we got onboard, we were handed our snorkel and life jacket. We sat along the sides and they started going to our destination. While we were going to our snorkeling destination, we lined up for our flippers. They asked what our shoe size was and handed us a pair of flippers.

P7300320.jpg

P7300323.jpg

This picture is one of my favorites from the trip... i feel like I've told you that a picture is one of my favorites a hundred times... haha I have a lot of favorites:) and I can't choose just one!

P7300322.jpg

I think we were all a little nervous about getting into the water, we didn’t know how deep it was. We were really eager to get into the water though. They stopped the catamaran and we all started to get into the water. The water felt amazing! It was cool, and also was a relief from the hot sun. The thing I was looking forward to, besides the actual snorkeling, was taking pictures underwater! I have a waterproof camera that I’ve had for a couple of years now. It’s green and it looks pretty beat up right now (it’s also shock proof; perfect for me!) but I love it and take it with me everywhere.

All ready for some snorkeling :)

DSC05313-1.jpg

Here are some of the best shots I got underwater:

P7300343.jpg

P7300352.jpg

P7300356.jpg

P7300353.jpg

Uh... I’m not sure what kind of pose Ciara was going for here... Maybe a crab?

P7300358.jpg

It took a little while for me to try and figure out the snorkel. At first I couldn’t see anything underwater, and I thought it was my contacts. But, it turned out it was because I was breathing out through my nose when I put the mask on, fogging up the lens. You had to get used to breathing only through your mouth.

I didn’t like the life vest because every time I went underwater, the life vest would stay above water and be tight around my neck. My cousin took hers off at one point, but the guide immediately told her to put it back on. I totally understand why though, it was pretty deep and safety comes first.

P7300361.jpg

There’s our catamaran! And you can see a few people’s heads bobbing above water. Don’t you just love that blue sky? <3

P7300365.jpg

Here are a few more shots underwater:

P7300366.jpg

I was stalking this yellow and blue fish! It was fast. I needed a picture though, the colors were so pretty!

P7300371.jpg

And after our time was up (it felt so short) we paddled back to the boat. When we removed the flippers, it felt really good! I don’t know how to describe it, but it was like having weights lifted off your feet, that feeling of relief. We all really enjoyed the snorkeling. I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy seeing fish and wearing flippers! :D The ride back was nice, they offer you drinks and you get a nice view of the island and the Dream.

We were ready to explore Castaway Cay.

We didn’t really know what we were doing, so we didn’t take the tram because we thought it was going to Serenity Bay. We were wrong, it went to the family beach, which we were headed for. So, we walked. Now, I don’t think it was such a long walk. But while we were walking, we thought it was long! I think it was because we had been swimming, and we were walking in the hot sun.

P7310376.jpg

Soon enough (not!) we made it! Does anyone know what that shop is called? The one you first see when you get on Castaway Cay? Well, we got there and looked around for a little bit.

And I took these two pictures through the open window

P7310377.jpg

P7310378.jpg

These pictures really take me back to that moment, looking through the window and seeing the Dream among palm trees and sand. We took a little detour when we saw a dance party happening with Mickey and Minnie. Ciara and Caitlyn got pulled in to dance, which me, Caleb, and Kat enjoyed watching I only got one picture, but that one is a little awkward with a random lady in a bathing suit, so I’ll leave it out.

I absolutely love this picture. Ciara took it and I didn’t know she was taking pictures. But can you tell how happy I am?

DSC05321-1.jpg

Oh, I hope my cousin doesn’t hunt me down when she sees I put this one up.. But I can’t help it! It got us cracking up. Ciara took this one also:

DSC05326-1.jpg

That’s Caitlyn :D She was really hot and didn’t want to get in the water just yet so she threw a towel over her head and sat in a beach chair

Then we started to have some fun in the water

This is how I feel about Caleb:

P7310391.jpg

Haha, no, I’m joking, we actually love each other:

P7310392.jpg

See?

My three cousins<3 Did I mention that I’m the oldest out of the four of us? Ciara and Caitlyn are both younger than me by six months and Caleb’s the baby, four years younger than the three of us. So, in a way, (even though I see Caitlyn and Caleb only a few times a year) I feel responsible for them. They’re practically, if not, my younger brother and sisters. Which is just as good as having siblings, especially since I’m an only child.

P7310396.jpg

Here’s the four of us, excuse my blinking, it was bright out and I don’t know how Ciara and Caitlyn kept their eyes open.

P7310397.jpg

Ciara got on Caleb. And if you look closely you can spot me and Caitlyn in the background, with me hanging on to her and giving her some loving

P7310399.jpg

It was during this time that a photographer was making his way around the water taking pictures. I don’t have them on my computer, I guess they weren’t there when I scanned the pictures from Shutters onto my computer. I’ll upload them when I get the chance! Anyways, He took our pictures and then walked away. Wait... he didn’t ask for our room keys or ask for our names... so how were we going to get our picture? We were so confused! So I caught up with the photographer and he told me not to worry, that the computer would recognize our faces and we’d see them later. I was pretty amazed, and so were my cousins when I told them. Sure enough, the photos were there at Shutters when we checked! That was so cool!

P7310400.jpg

P7310401.jpg

P7310402.jpg

Then I tried to get on Caleb’s shoulders and it failed.

P7310405.jpg

P7310406_2.jpg

I couldn’t stay on because he wouldn’t keep still! It was hilarious though, as you can see:)
This is my “no Caleb, it’s not your turn to get on my shoulders” look.

P7310407.jpg

We were in the water for about 30-45 minutes. Then we went to go eat! We were starving! They had barbeque:) And it all tasted fantastic! I think more so because: we had snorkeled, swam, had a dance party with Mickey and Minnie, and took pictures all on CASTAWAY CAY. All those made the food taste 100 times better, I think. No pictures of the food, I think that was the last thing on all of our minds. We devoured our food. My favorite was the cookies! Yum! Oh, this reminds me, Caitlyn and Caleb saw our server, Gabor, out on the barbeque line. I think that was one of my favorite parts of the cruise. You got to know the crew members around you. They were everywhere, and they somehow remember you. It was really great, it makes you feel comfortable. You’ll see, later on in this trip report, how we meet some more crew members.
After we finished eating, we split up. Caitlyn, Caleb, and Ciara wanted to go back to the ship while Kat and I wanted to explore Castaway Cay a little more. So we went our separate ways, with Kat and I going towards Pelican Plunge. Along the way, we saw a hair braiding station, and considered getting one but decided against it. Meanwhile, while Kat and I made our way to the other end of the island, Caitlyn, Caleb, and Ciara took these pictures:

DSC05328-1.jpg

Ciara later showed this picture and told me she fell off the hammock.

Knowing her, I don’t doubt it :D haha

DSC05329-1.jpg

Caitlyn and Caleb posing by these things... not sure what they’re called but they’re cute!

DSC05332-1.jpg

Back to Kat and I; we ran into our parents! My camera had run out of battery :( I was a little sad because while we were walking towards Pelican Plunge, I saw so many photo opportunities! Especially of the Disney Dream. But it’s okay because my parents had their camera:)

Here is me, Kat, Nio, and Anri. Wow, we all look really dark:

I tan very easily.

DisneyCruise2011591.jpg

Kat and I on hammocks! Those were so comfy! and relaxing.

DisneyCruise2011594.jpg

My parents and I:

DisneyCruise2011599.jpg

Look at that view!

After taking some pictures, we all wanted to shop a little. So we went to the other store which is located near pelican’s plunge. Guess who we saw there? Caitlyn, Caleb, and Ciara! We thought they had left already! Turns out, they also wanted to do some shopping. We all got bracelets:), those leather ones where you can get your names or something carved into them. We all got different ones that said “Bahamas, 2011” Those three left again, while we were still looking around. My mom also got a bracelet that said Bahamas. After we finished shopping, we got on the tram to get back on the Dream. When we paused to drop off some people at the family beach, guess who we saw again? That’s right! Caleb, Ciara, and Caitlyn. They were waiting for a tram to pick them up, which ours wasn’t. We waved goodbye as the tram drove on towards the ship. At the ship, there was a really long line to get on. To get on, they have to scan each person’s room key. I don’t know why they were taking so long though, the day before at Nassau, it was really quick. They sent out Goofy to keep the waiting guest entertained :).
Then, guess who passed by us? If you guessed Caitlyn, Caleb, and Ciara...then you are CORRECT! haha, they were walking fast towards the other end of the ship, where they had opened up another entrance. We hadn’t noticed! We followed them and were quickly on board, faster than the people who were in the first line. We ran back up to our rooms because the elevators were jammed full of people! When we got to our room, we saw a note inviting us to pirate night, along with pirate bandanas. Which will be in the next part of this story :D

:thumbsup2 Great report! More! More! Reading your escapades take me back to when we were on the Dream. Loved your Altantis Pictures, maybe next time we will go there.

When we got to our room, we saw a note inviting us to pirate night, along with pirate bandanas. We all took showers and put our bandanas on then went down to the lobby atrium to meet some characters. We were all most excited for Captain Jack Sparrow, especially Caitlyn :) But first on our list was Captain Mickey Mouse! He looked adorable in his pirate outfit.

Scan112220002.jpg

We then ran over to Captain Jack’s line which was right by the Walt Disney Theatre. The line was already long! And it was a good thirty minutes before he was suppose to come out. While we waited, we took some pictures and had fun looking at everyone in their pirate costumes.

We saw someone dressed very convincingly as Captain Jack but soon realized halfway through our excitement that it wasn’t him. He was holding fake rubber snakes in his hands. I don’t know what that has to do with Captain Jack... But his costume looked great! Soon after that, the real, one and only Captain Jack Sparrow came sauntering out. We really didn’t wait that long until it was our turn. He was really great! Caitlyn told him she watched his movie on the tv, and he had no clue what that was.

DSC05350-1.jpg

Caitlyn has the biggest grin on her face :) She loves him! Remember how I mentioned she was an amazing artist? Well, I remember about four or five years ago, she drew this amazing picture of Captain Jack. It looked so real! I wonder if she still has it...

If we saw Mickey, then we had to see... Minnie of course! We went up to see Miss Pirate Minnie.

DSC05359-1.jpg

Oh, do you see Ciara’s shirt? That’s the shirt we got the day before at the Bahamas:)

We went back down to the lobby atrium, where we saw Tinkerbell was out! It looked like the line was closed though, but it wasn’t! The crew member let us through and we turned out to be the last family to visit with Tinkerbell. While we waited in line, I started talking to the crew member. Sadly, I forgot his name, but I remember he was from the U.S.! There were only a handful of people I saw from the U.S. I asked him how he liked working on the ship, which he replied that he loved. And then I asked him how he ended up working on the Dream. He told us that he worked at Disney World for about three years, then auditioned to be a crew member, so there he was! He was very nice, and we told him that he was one of the first people we had seen from the United States. He told us that it was very interesting seeing people from all over the world, though there was a good handful of people from the United States. I really loved that about the cruise ship. Whenever we saw a crew member, I would eagerly look at their name tag to see where they had come from. I saw a new country on the name tags every day! Anyways, back to Tinkerbell:

Scan112220005.jpg

She was very cute, and very chatty. When it was Caleb’s turn, she gave him a bit of an attitude and I don’t think Caleb knew how to respond :D here’s his picture

DSC05364.jpg

Caitlyn yelled out, “Put your hand around her waist, Caleb!” and this was the result. haha see his hand? I told him it was his awkward claw/fist. It happens again later on when we meet the princesses :D

We loved Tinkerbell! Do you see the butterfly behind her? When Kat was talking to her, she went up to the butterfly and whispered something to it. The U.S. crew member said, “Oh well that’s new...” We started laughing. It doesn’t sound as funny reading it, but it was the way he said it that got us laughing. I guess it’s one of those ‘you had to be there’ kind of moments. :)

After meeting Tinkerbell, we went back to our rooms for a little. When we got there, we wanted to turn the television on, but couldn’t find the remote!! We looked everywhere in that little room and didn’t find it. We thought it was funny, and left a little note for our host to see...

DSC05367-1.jpg

Next, we split up. Caitlyn and Caleb had some money to spend in the arcade so they went there while me, Ciara, and Kat headed toward Flo’s. Ciara got some chicken strips and we went to the arcade to meet Caitlyn and Caleb.

We hung around the arcade for a little, watching Caleb and Caitlyn play games. I was stealing some fries from Ciara’s plate ;)

DSC05368.jpg

DSC05377.jpg

After playing around in the arcade for a bit, we went back up to our room to what we thought was formal night. We were wrong, but didn’t know this while getting ready. It was a pirate themed dinner! We thought it was formal because we were scheduled to eat at the Royal Palace for the first time in our trip, plus we had never been on a cruise before. So, we got ready but we had a lot of time before dinner so we went to go see Ariel!

here are the ladies waiting in line to see Ariel, and Caleb looking very handsome :)

DSC05383-1.jpg

DSC05386.jpg

We all loved Ariel! She was beautiful! And she was extremely sweet.

DSC05398.jpg

We went down one deck and saw that some of the crew members were dressed up in their nice uniforms so we went to get a picture of course!!

DSC05403-1.jpg

We had a few minutes before dinner, so we sat down in the lobby:
i love this picture:

DSC05410.jpg

Next up is dinner at the Royal Palace and the Pirate's night party:) Also part of the reason for my trip report title! ;)

Soon, it was time for dinner at the Royal Palace! As we entered the dining room, we noticed that no one was dressed up. Then, when we reached our table, we realized that it was Pirate Night dining! Whoops. We were a little embarrassed at that point, but our amazing waiters told us it was okay and that we looked great. So we got over it quickly enough! As usual, the rest of our family was running late. When they arrived in their formal attire, we told them it was not formal night! We started to order. We were in a small room that was Princess and the Frog themed (Side note: I LOVE Princess and the Frog!)

I really liked the wall

P7310431.jpg

As I was taking a picture of the menu, Alwayne came over and held it up for me. It was sweet, and I cannot stress how great our servers were.

P7310433.jpg

P7310434.jpg

For the appetizer, I went with Black Beard’s Jumbo Crab Cake, which was excellent! Not my favorite though:)

It was very yummy!

P7310437.jpg

I ordered the Caribbean-style Conch Chowder for my soup.

P7310438.jpg

And for the Main Course, I believe I had The Dutchman’s Dijon Crusted Sirloin of Beef. I’m not sure, but here’s what it looked like. Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been almost four months since the Dream!

P7310440.jpg

I did not get a picture of the Dessert menu; I always forgot to take a picture of it. Probably because I was focusing on what delicious dessert I should order instead of taking pictures. But, this is what I got! And it was extremely sweet, chocolatey, and decadent!

With a hidden Mickey. I think that the filling inside of the chocolate cake is raspberry... but again, I could be wrong! Oh, if only we could recall everything perfectly in our lifetime.

P7310442.jpg

Oh, I found a few more food pictures that my cousin took; she ordered some different things!

DSC05415.jpg

DSC05418.jpg

And here is me and Ciara; I think we look kind of awkward in this picture, but I have no clue why. It just makes me laugh for some reason.

DSC05417.jpg

We finished up our dinner and wanted a picture with Alwayne and Gabor while we looked nice. Even though they were in their pirate outfits!

DisneyCruise2011634.jpg

We went back up to our rooms. When we entered our room, the curtain divider was up. It was a curtain that separated the room into two halves, so that you could have privacy if you wanted. The bathrooms and main bed were on one side, and the TV, desk, bunk beds/couch, and verandah were on the other side. I was the first one in the room, and my bed was the top bunk, as you all know. So, I went in and quickly drew back the curtain divider, and almost ran out of the room. I saw the towel monkey hanging by the desk and thought it was a person. I get scared easily. My cousins were like... what are you doing? It really did scare me though.

P7310445.jpg

We changed out of our formal clothes and dressed up for Club Pirate on Deck 11, the main deck with the swimming pools. Something happened at this point, which made us split up. I really cannot remember why we split up. Me and Caleb went on Deck 12 because Deck 11 was crowded at that point, while Caitlyn and Ciara wandered off somewhere. I was excited because I knew that they were going to have fireworks tonight. I absolutely love fireworks! Especially when it is timed to the music, which Disney does a phenomenal job of, including in their parks! Caleb and I found a good place right under the Aquaduck and near the big screen on deck.

P7310448.jpg

P7310449.jpg

Soon, the fireworks started, and it turns out, we were right under them! Well, we were next to them, but they were really close! I think that’s the closest I’ve seen fireworks. As they began, Caleb and I were excitedly agreeing that we chose the perfect spot. I took a video of the fireworks, and I’ll upload it on here if I can figure it out. My camera doesn’t take very good fireworks video though!

I figured it out. Just click below!

The video really does not do the fireworks justice! It was much bigger, brighter, and more colorful! But, I tried to capture it as best as I could.

After the spectacular fireworks show, these slightly scary crew members were roaming the crowds and scaring people. Later, my aunt told me she had to get Anri out of there because she started crying, so it might have been too scary for some little ones! Then, guess who literally dropped down from the top of the ship?

P7310452.jpg

Captain Jack Sparrow!

I took pictures of the screen because my camera didn't have enough zoom to capture him in person. I wish I got him falling down onto the stage though!

P7310455.jpg

He was getting into some trouble, as usual.

And this is where he said farewell. It was a short appearance by Captain Jack Sparrow. But I suppose he was off on some great adventure so it’s all right.

P7310458.jpg

The show was over, and Deck 11 turned into a huge dance floor! To make the most of our experience, we went down and joined the dance party. I thought it was really fun. The music was good, and they had crew members out and dancing. There was one crew member who was close to us; he was a really good dancer! I know I have some pictures from dancing... I think it’s on my mom’s camera, so I’ll upload those later if I find them

The dance party was over too soon, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl started playing on the big screen. Caleb, Kat (who had joined us in the middle of dancing) and I, plopped down on the deck chairs, happy, tired, and slightly sweaty, and began to watch. At some point, I looked over at Caleb and he was knocked out! I decided that it was time for bed for him and woke him up so we could go back to our room.

P7310463.jpg

Watching Pirates and relaxing with my cousins was great. There were few people, and the night sky was open wide above us. Another great moment.

I think it was past midnight at this point. We walked into our room and I was surprised to see Caitlyn and Ciara sleeping. They had told us they were going to see the latest Pirates movie in the theater. That was suppose to start at midnight. Later they told us that they watched a little bit, then got sleepy and decided to go back to the room. So, we headed off to bed, and it was another good nights sleep for us all.

The next day (and last day) was the day at sea and meeting with some of our favorite princesses
